The court jester Dhoulmagus of the kingdom of Trodain stole a powerful magical scepter sealed beneath the royal castle. Using the power of the scepter, Dhoulmagus destroyed the castle, placed a curse upon the kingdom and its people, and turned King Trode into a troll and the princess into a horse. A sole surviving castle guard journeys with the king, the princess, a reformed bandit named Yangus and a few other companions in search of the evil jester and a way to break the curse.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is a traditional Japanese-style role-playing game with random enemy encounters, simple turn-based combat mechanics, and management of a party consisting of four characters, each belonging to a clearly defined class. Dante's Inferno is a video game based on the first canticle of the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. Dante is depicted as a templar knight who travels through the nine circles of hell to rescue his beloved Beatrice, whose soul has been captured by the devil. The gameplay is similar to the God of War games, where Dante uses a scythe and magic from a holy cross to defeat enemies. Players have the option to follow a holy or unholy path, which affects the type of abilities they can purchase. The game features combat, environmental puzzles, and quick time events, and the player's abilities can be enhanced through relics and by collecting souls. A new game mode, Gates of Hell Arena, is unlocked after completing the game.

Rayman Legends is a 2D platform game and a sequel to Rayman Origins. After the events of the previous game Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies went to a century-long sleep. During that time new nightmares have appeared in the world and the Magician (who was defeated in Rayman Origins) has been split into five dark teensies. These nightmares and dark teensies have captured the princesses of the land (including a new playable character Barbara) and other teensies. Naturally, Rayman and his friends are awoken once again to right the wrongs.

Rayman Legends retains the graphical style and most gameplay elements of Rayman Origins. Up to four players can simultaneously progress through side-scrolling levels defeating enemies and collecting Lums. On each level, there is a number of teensies to rescue and that opens up new levels and worlds. All the powers from the previous game (wall-running, air gliding, etc.) are available to the characters from the start, but some new gimmicks are added, for example, the ability to fire projectiles on some levels. Murfy the greenbottle appears on some levels to aid the players. With a press of a button, he operates machinery, pokes bigger enemies, and opens up passages for the characters. In some versions of the game, the fifth player can control Murphy's movement.

The game includes regular side-scrolling levels, "invaded" versions of levels that need to be completed as quickly as possible and rhythm-based levels with a soundtrack consisting of humorous covers of popular songs. In addition, forty remastered levels from Rayman Origins can be unlocked by collecting Lucky tickets. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown is the definitive version of Virtua Fighter 5. It adds two new characters, simplifies the throw-escape system, and introduces short bounces for extended combos. The console version includes training and tutorial modes for learning the game's fundamentals. Single-player modes offer an arcade mode and challenge mode with specific victory conditions.

As the conflict between the mighty nation of Harmonia and the tribal inhabitants of the Grasslands evolved, a man who possessed the True Fire Rune stepped in. Called the Flame Champion, he led the Grasslands against Harmonian invasion, and eventually unleashed the power of his rune in a decisive battle, causing the death of many people on both sides. Harmonia retreated, and the Flame Champion disappeared. An uneasy truce was achieved, but the relationship between the Grasslands and the neighbor merchant nation of Zexen grew steadily worse.

Chris Lightfellow, known as the "Silver Maiden", is the captain of the Zexen Knights, commanding its forces after a truce agreement between Zexen and the Grasslands has been broken. The events of Suikoden III take place sixteen years after those described in its predecessor. The game retains many distinguishing gameplay features from the series' previous installments, including equipment of magic runes with limited spell uses instead of the more common magic points system; the possibility to recruit 108 characters (Stars of Destiny), many of which can participate in battles; customization of a castle serving as army headquarters, etc. Tactical army battle mechanics are similar to those employed in the second installment.

The game's most significant new feature is its so-called "Trinity Sight System". Instead of controlling a single main protagonist, the player takes the roles of Chris, Hugo, and Geddoe during the course of nine chapters (three per character). These chapters focus on the conflict between the Grasslands and Zexen, and represent three different points of view on the events. Afterwards the player must select the character he or she considers the principal protagonist of the game. The game also includes two optional chapters told from the point of view of another character.

In addition to leveling up and raising the effectiveness of their weapons and armor, characters can also learn skills - passive abilities that improve the their combat performance, such as parrying, dealing higher damage, acting quicker, etc. Magic spells typically take longer time to cast, which can be remedied by improving a correspondent skill. Some magic spells also have area effects, dealing damage to enemies and allies alike. The player controls six characters in battle, divided into three pairs: the leaders of the pairs are actively controlled, while their companions act according to AI routines.

Like previous installments in the Radiant Mythology series, the player character will be capable of changing job classes by talking with this game's Guild Leader. Some job classes have special requirements in order for them to be unlocked, and players will have to expend grade points in order to transform into them.

Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 ISO Crossover is a rom hack of the legendary game Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3, almost everything has been redone, especially the cast of characters with Mugen sauce, we can see Naruto, One Piece, Mario, Sonic, Shrek, Pokemon and many other characters that have absolutely nothing to do with Toriyama's work. Donald and Goofy (as well as an additional character exclusive to each world/disney movie) will follow Sora. Their equipment and AI can be adjusted, but they can not be directly controlled. Defeated enemies will drop many kinds of items including synthesis materials. Sora can take these to the Synthesis shop in Twilight Town to turn them into usable items, accessories, and weapons.

Traveling between each world requires Sora's party to fly through space in a Gummi Ship. The Gummi Ship can be completely customized, from speed and armor to weapons and shape, out of parts picked up from destroyed Gummi Ships, found in worlds, or bought from a store. Larger, more complex ships can be built as the game progresses, and plans can be found from destroyed enemies or from an NPC that will automatically build a Gummi Ship of specific specifications.

However, rebels are fighting against corporate control all over the planet. The protagonist of the game saves the life of a stranger, sacrificing his own life in the process. Taking the protagonist to his lab, the stranger performs a secret experiment on him, and is able to bring him back to life. The hero awakens with a strange crystal embedded in his forehead, giving him control over a mysterious power known as the Darklight. The lab is attacked by the forces of NeCrom, who also controls the Darklight. The protagonist must escape from the lab, learn about the Darklight and the aliens bringing it to the planet, and finally confront NeCrom, his evil counterpart.

CyberMage is a 3D first-person shooter set in a dark futuristic environment. Controls can be customized to allow mouse- or keyboard-based gameplay. Jumping, looking up and down (keyboard only), and rudimentary interaction with objects (e.g. switches) are available. The hero is able to use various weapons as well as his Darklight powers against many foes. These offensive, ranged powers deplete a special energy called "Mann-Ra", which regenerates itself over time.

The souls of organic enemies are released when they are killed. Approaching these souls before they disappear, the player obtains various power-ups to health and Mann-Ra, which may be temporary (restoring) or permanent (increasing their maximum count). Armor and other items can be found as well. In addition to walking around the cities and war zones, the player can use vehicles like tanks and air cars in some of the levels. Most areas also contain friendly characters who might give the player information. Money can be found scattered throughout the levels, and spent on weapons in the gun shop.

Shattered Memories marks Silent Hill's debut on the Nintendo Wii where the fear is more real than ever before. Appleseed EX is an Action Adventure game, developed by DreamFactory and published by Sega, which was released in Japan in 2007.

Street Riders is a reworked port of 187 Ride or Die, an urban street racing game. In a quest to gain money and respect, you race while shooting opponents at the same time. The story revolves around the character Buck, who ends up in a gang war. There are 14 games modes with 66 missions in total. Some examples:

- Whip Race: A regular race for the finish line. Your car cannot be destroyed completely.
- DeathRace: Each round, the last one is dropped and your car can be wrecked.
- DeathMatch: Fight three other cars in an arena.
- Gang Fight: Team deathmatch in an arena.
- Survivor: Stay alive as long as possible.
- Domination: Similar to the survivor mode, but with different levels in a parking lot.
- MineField: All weapons have been replaced by mines, so it becomes important to take the lead early.
- Time Ride: Time trial.
- Chase: Race while being tailed by the police.
- Escort: Guard a vehicle with precious cargo and ensure that it stays at a minimum speed and is not damaged by opponents.

There is multiplayer support for up to 8 players, with 45 missions, and 7 modes. Next to the regular modes, you can also play cooperatively with a single car -- one driver and one gunner.

The follow-up to Screamer is an arcade-style racing game. Unlike its predecessor, it offers a more rally-oriented gameplay. The twelve selectable high-performance road cars of the previous game have been replaced with four rally cars. The game features an improved graphics engine (SVGA) and various tracks including England, Switzerland, Egypt, Colombia, and others. These tracks may be slippery or contain various obstacles and scenery objects such as birds, helicopters, cows, etc. Split-screen head-to-head competitive two-player mode is available.

In the 16th century, a sword surfaces that is so powerful, so evil that warriors from all over the globe seek it out. It is Soul Edge, a demon blade. From America to Europe to Japan, these warriors fight each other for the chance to obtain it. Soul Blade is a 3D weapons fighting game that chronicles their story.

A complete 3D fighting game that allows for side steps, Soul Blade has twelve colorful fighters (ten standard, two hidden, plus additional costumes for a few fighters), each with various weapons and styles. The first ten can be used in all the combat modes, while the hidden two can only be used in versus and arcade mode.

Namco enhanced the arcade version (called Soul Edge) by adding a well done CGI intro, plus a story mode to the addition of the traditional team, survival, and time attack modes. The story mode goes into greater detail about each character, and is presented in an ancient book format. The story mode also allows you to unlock more of each characters' extra weapons. These weapons, which vary in lengths, stats, and durability, add to the options available players in the versus mode.

Soul Blade's sequel is SoulCalibur, both in the arcades and for the Sega Dreamcast.
