    I/O

April 26, 2032, 12:12 AM, Tokyo. During the first lunar eclipse in three years, the Moon turns blood red, and strange, inexplicable events begin happening all over the city. Computers everywhere begin going haywire, students go missing, and and a boy receives a message from his sister who vanished more than two years prior. Nobody seems to know what is going on, and it seems like society is heading for a grand collapse...

I/O is a game adventure sci-fi. There are three main protagonists: Hinata Aoi, a terminally-depressed teenage boy; Ishtar, a freelance programmer who leads the hacker team "Criminal"; and a mysterious man known only as "He". The player proceeds through one of four scenarios as their chosen characters, making regular decisions which will affect not only the flow of that scenario and lead to many different endings, but also affect what options are available in other scenarios, and even potentially unlocking completely new scenarios. Dialogue is fully-voiced, and there are quick-save and chat log options available.

    Interlude

Interlude is an adventure game originally released on the Dreamcast and later ported to the PS2.

The main character has had strange dreams, seen strange things and met strange people. He investigates these events and finds a strange girl named Aya. With her help, he discovers that his world may not be real, and that many people he thinks he knows may no longer exist.
  3. Itadaki Street 3 is, despite what the name might suggest, the fourth title in the long-running Itadaki Street series. In this Monopoly-inspired digital board game, players take turns moving around the board, which is divided into districts made up of multiple properties. Landing on a property allows you to buy it, and owning multiple properties in the same district increases their value, but landing on a property owned by another player forces you to pay them based on the property's value. There are also other types of spaces around the board: chance spaces let you draw a card with a random effect, transport spaces move you to distant locations, and the ever-useful bank gives you a bonus when you reach it.

This is the first title in the series to be presented in full 3D, including elaborate backgrounds for each map. There is also an in-depth tutorial mode to teach new players how the game works. In addition to the standard Free Play and Tournament modes, there are two new modes present: Training mode, where the player teaches a computer-controlled character by example, trying to train them to be a top player; and Itadaki Quest, which gives specific single-player objectives to complete on preset maps. There are more than 30 maps to play, including returning maps from previous titles.

    Ikuze! Onsen Takkyuu!

Ikuze! Onsen Takkyū!! is a 3D table tennis game featuring two modes: story and versus (against another player or the computer). There are 6 stages to play in and 8 characters to choose from, seven fictional ones plus real life Japanese table tennis player Ai Fukuhara. Each of the eight characters has their own plot in the story mode, with cutscenes and voice acting. Gameplay is simple; two buttons for different shot types while the left analog stick/d-pad moves the player. If the ball is high in the air, with precise timing and good positioning, a super-move can be executed, delivering an especially powerful and well-placed shot.
  5. I.Q. Remix+ is an enhanced version of the PlayStation game Intelligent Qube. Gameplay is essentially the same: blocks of qubes roll toward the player, who must mark squares on a grid to destroy them. There are also green advantage qubes which can be used to zap a 3x3 block all at once and black forbidden qubes which the player is not allowed to destroy.

The game contains unique features such as psychedelic background effects to distract the player (the original I.Q had a stark black backdrop), an electronic-themed soundtrack, and two-player simultaneous play.
  6. In the near future, household pests have become highly resistant to all kinds of chemical pesticides. Naturally, the answer to this plague is miniature customizable robots, programmed to hunt down and destroy household pests using miniaturized weapons. A lonely young man named Aburatsubo has just purchased Mars Pharmaceuticals' latest model, ID-3 HoiHoi-san, a cute 10cm pink-haired girl in a maid dress made to serve his every whim, just so long as that whim is to ruthlessly gun down cockroaches.

Ichigeki Sacchū!! HoiHoi-san ("One-Shot Extermination! HoiHoi-san") is a third-person action shooting game based on the eponymous manga by Kunihiko Tanaka. The player takes direct control of HoiHoi-san in various mission-based stages. The goal of each stage is generally to defeat a certain number of pests, while avoiding their attacks and ensuring that HoiHoi-san's batteries remain charged. Two different weapons can be equipped at any given time, including both long-range firearms and short-range bladed weapons, among numerous others.

As stages are cleared, the player earns money which can be used to purchase new outfits and weapons for HoiHoi-san at the local drug store. An unusual feature of the game is an optional filter that obscures the appearance of the various pests, so even those who can't stand the sight of cockroaches can play!

    Ikusa Gami

In feudal Japan, different clans are waging wars against each other. All of a sudden, demons spawn around the country and add to the chaos. In Ikusa Gami, the player takes control of Inugami, the embodiment of the god of war, to cleanse the lands of the demons.

This title is a 3rd person hack and slay action game. Inugami can use a combination of various attacks to get rid of the demon hordes, of which there are plenty in Demon Chaos. In most missions, there are friendly armies fighting along side the protagonist that have to be protected. The player can give the armies a rudimentary follow command and create various pillars, which can for example heal surrounding units. Inugami's health can be restored by getting close to Aoi Yasaka, a priestess that accompanies him throughout the player's journey. During the fight, a spirit gauge can be charged to unleash special attacks - enemies occasionally drop items to restore the spirit energy. After each mission, new weapons are unlocked with gradually improving properties.
  8. This futuristic 3D racing game has players taking to the sky in futuristic spacecraft. Ships draw power from a special track shaped like a ribbon in the sky; players can drive their ships in any direction, but must keep close to the ribbon to keep up their power and move at full speed. Enemies can also shoot at players, requiring them to dodge shots while staying on-track and moving as fast as possible.

    Houshinengi 2

Houshinengi 2 is the sequel to Houshinengi and the first title of the series to be converted into 3D. While the game still retains its RPG elements, it acts more like an action title with Warriors inspired gameplay

The illustrations and character designs were done by Takeshi Okazaki. The character models in this game were used again in Mystic Heroes.

Once long ago, during the wars between light and darkness, a peculiar union between a devil and a human was born. They gave birth to a magically gifted child, a child who can neither be classified as a human, a devil, or a mystic. From these descendants began the formation of the Tao Clan. These individuals tap into and protect the world's long forgotten power of tao, the living energy of the world itself. Safe guarding the mysteries of tao, their presence has faded from history and into obscurity. They are now thought to exist only in legends.

Three years have passed since Taigong Wang and his allies have defeated the nefarious Da Ji and King Zhou. Morning Song has been restored as a peaceful capital, and the people enjoy a long forgotten peace. However, the rivalry between the two mystics clans still lingers. These clans are the Kunlun Sect, taoists who defied the Shang Dynasty, and the Nine Dragon Sect, mystics who once supported King Zhou. Unbeknown to the mystics and people, the members of the Nine Dragon Sect seek to rise again and conqueror the living realm with powers of darkness, manifesting as monstrosities known as Savage Beasts.

A young orphan named Ziya is swept away from his mundane village life when he and his childhood friend investigate a mysterious gate. There, they find an unconscious girl named Li Lan, whose conflict inevitably drags the young men into an adventure the spans throughout the human world and celestial realms.
  10. Yukito Nogi, a high-school student living by himself in the city, was out walking one night when a strange object fell from the sky... crashing straight into him. This object turns out to be a cosmic force, its power so great that it splits Yukito into three different entities, each composed of one part of his psyche. It also happens to give each part enormous psychic powers!

However, he's only just started arguing with himself, when three different factions converge on him all at once. A trio of aliens, led by the self-aggrandizing scientist Olga Mengele, want to steal Yukito's power for themselves. Yuki and Yuka, a pair of sister demon hunters, believe Yukito to be a demon that must be sealed. And of course Hiromi Togo -- alias Trigun, defender of justice -- wants to use these events to prove herself as a superhero.

Hooligan: Kimi no Naka no Yuuki is a superhero-comedy adult visual novel. The majority of the game consists of lightly-animated cutscenes and voiced dialogue, with occasional player choices that will branch the story and lead toward relationships with the various female characters. There are also several mini-games that occur throughout the game, most notably a simple card battle where the player must select cards to defeat the opposing characters in rock-paper-scissors style.

    Hissatsu Ura-kagyou

Hissatsu Ura Kagyou is an action game set in Japan during the Edo period, inspired by the popular Hissatsu Series historical drama (jidaigeki). The player controls Keijirō Teitō, who by day is a well-liked doctor in his hometown. However, by night, he takes up his sword and exacts bloody vengeance on the wicked and the corrupt.

During the daytime, the player can move about Keijirō's hometown, speaking with people to gather information, visiting the many shops such as a restaurant and a bookstore, and perhaps even getting into a fight now and then. Returning to his home allows him to save the game, view and accept the current job requests, and consult with his father about a variety of topics.

During the night, the game becomes more like a stealth action game such as Tenchu. Controlling either Keijirō or one of several other characters, the player must continue to gather information about the targets for each request while evading detection, eventually reaching the main target who must be killed. Successfully completing requests will earn money and reputation.

    Heavy Metal Thunder

In the year 2980 CE, recent breakthroughs in robotics technology have brought a surge in the popularity of robots, called the Heavy Metal Revolution. "Robot Wrestling", fights between superpowered miniature robots, only about 30cm tall, have become the most popular sport all over the world. Denki Akihabara, a student at Hagane-cho Middle School, has just heard from his father for the first time in ten years on his 15th birthday. Unfortunately for Denki, his father has gone and entered him into the world's most prestigious Robot Wrestling tournament with a brand new high-spec robot. Denki must now give everything he has to win the tournament and become stronger, prove himself to the girl he loves, and finally show up his father.

Heavy Metal Thunder is a turn-based robot fighting simulation game. On each turn, each player selects a command for their robot, which will counteract each other similar to a match of Rock, Paper, Scissors. However, making things more interesting, certain combinations will build the robots' heat and synchro gauges. The higher the heat gauge is, the stronger that robot's attack, but if it fills completely, it becomes unable to attack. The synchro gauge, on the other hand, will allow for different special attacks depending on what level it reaches. The goal of each round is to knock out the other player's robot.

Between battles, the player can visit a shop to purchase and upgrade parts for their robot. Apart from the main story mode, there is also a straight ranking battle mode where the player must defeat multiple opponents in succession, as well as a versus battle mode where two players can pit their robots against each other. However, neither mode becomes available until the story mode is completed.

  14. Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3 is the third main entry in the Haruka series, and it is a part of Ruby Party's Neoromance label.

One rainy day Nozomi Kasuga and her two friends encounter a strange boy at their high school, who sends them hurtling across time and space to a place in another world called Kyo. This place bears a strong resemblance to Kyoto at the end of the Heian period, where the Minamoto clan (Genji), led by Minamoto no Yoritomo (based on the historical Minamoto no Yoritomo), is at war with the Taira clan (Heike), led by Taira no Kiyomori (based on the historical Taira no Kiyomori). The Heike hope to defeat the Genji by releasing vengeful spirits (onryo) to disturb the Earth's natural flow of energies and to terrorize the land. The boy that Nozomi met is revealed to be the human form of Hakuryu, the White Dragon God said to protect Kyo, whose powers have greatly weakened due to the presence of the onryo. Nozomi discovers that she has the power to seal the onryo as Hakuryu no Miko (Priestess of the White Dragon), and she allies herself with the Genji in order to seal the onryo, restore Hakuryu's powers, and return home to her own world.
  15. Harukanaru Toki no Naka de is the first installment in the Haruka series, the starting title for the second and longest Neoromance IP. It is the game which receives the most outside coverage and spin-offs within the series. Yasuhiro Misawa is the main composer for the game.

At the time of the game's conception Heian period based stories were receiving an explosion of popularity in the Japanese entertainment industry. Ruby Party used the trends to their advantage to create their first Japanese history based IP. Members wished for the game to keep the same simulation elements as its predecessor yet thought it better to include role-playing game elements which were still in high demand with the female fanbase. To further distinguish it from their first work, members sought to highlight the seasonal beauty of spring and summer through the lens of Heian aesthetics.

The story begins in the spring of 2000. The protagonist is a normal high school girl who goes with her two schoolmates, Tenma and Shimon, to investigate the occult rumors of an abandoned well near their school. When the trio approach it, they are inexplicably summoned to a parallel world resembling the capital of 10th century Japan. Upon their arrival, the protagonist is informed that she is the White Dragon Priestess and her friends are two of her anointed Eight Guardians. Her divine duty —which must be completed for their return to their home world— is to protect the capital from vengeful spirits and the nefarious Demon Clan.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka de: Hachiyoushou is a remake of the first game. It was repackaged to tie into the eponymous animated TV series adaptation's broadcast.
