Metal Gear Solid 4 is the fourth major installment in the series, developed by Hideo Kojima. It resolves previous plotlines by reintroducing characters from earlier games. The story follows an aged Solid Snake deployed to the Middle East in 2014 to thwart Liquid Ocelot, who aims to control the Sons of the Patriots and build an army.

The game introduces new actions, an enhanced camera, and a redesigned combat system. Camouflage is replaced by Octocamo, and the stamina gauge by a stress meter, affecting accuracy based on combat and climate conditions. Snake has access to a diverse array of customizable weapons.

Gadgets include the Solid Eye (electronic binoculars) and the Metal Gear Mk. II (exploration and stunning robot). The multiplayer, Metal Gear Online, features original modes like "Sneaking Mission" and "Team Sneaking" based on stealth elements.

The Ghost of Sparta returns in the final chapter of the God of War trilogy. Betrayed and killed by Zeus, the fallen god and Spartan warrior, Kratos seeks revenge. With the help of the Titans, he battles the Olympians to unleash chaos.

God of War III maintains the hack-and-slash gameplay with new elements and weapons. Completing the game unlocks additional challenges and bonus content, including the Chaos difficulty and behind-the-scenes videos.

Nintendo's all-star cast of combatants is back in Super Smash Bros. Melee, along with a new batch of brawlers ready to tear it up. The sequel to Super Smash Bros. keeps the same basic premise: Characters duke it out in interactive environments, using special attacks and various items to knock each other into the abyss. Some new defensive techniques add an even deeper level of complexity to the combat. In addition to traditional battle royale matches, players can select all-new ways to play like Coin mode and Tournament mode.

Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul is a 3D one-on-one fighting game based on the Saint Seiya manga series. There are 48 characters in the game, with different types of skins, and 39 of those were previously part of the 2013 title Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers. There are two story modes. One is called Legend of Cosmo and follows the story from the 12 Houses arc to the Hades arc. The other one is called Battle of Gold. This mode contains twelve Gold Saints each with their own story segment and match-ups that are entirely new for the series.

In the free battle mode any unlocked character can be selected. Fighting is done in an environment with full 3D movement. Each character has basic moves and specials based on a Cosmo Gauge. Compared to Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers Cosmos recharges faster now and there are no longer bars. Instead there is now a Seven Sense Awakening bar to access the Seventh Sense mode when it is full. That is now the way to perform Big Bang Attacks, which were previously part of the Cosmo mechanic. Photon is a new type of projectile available for all characters.

The orb system is still present with a new feature called Assist Phrase for a boost when a specific requirement is met. The Cosmic K.O. is a new type of finisher.

Though a sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, the direct story links are few. Luso is a young student ready for summer vacation, but forced to stay late and help the librarian Mr. Randell clean up. Luso arrives in the library to find himself alone, but notices a strange-looking book with only half its pages filled. It seems to leave off waiting for a name, so Luso provides his own. All of a sudden he's transported to the other world of Ivalice. From that point on his time is filled with exploring the world, trying to figure out what happened to him, and how he can return.

As in the other Final Fantasy Tactics titles, gameplay is centered around a grid battle between two small parties. Characters take turns one at a time, with order and frequency determined by their speed. In each turn they have the chance to move as well as perform a single action; not necessarily in that order. Battles usually end by defeating the other party, though there are occasionally other goals, such as defeating the leader or examining special spots in a stage in search of an item. As in Tactics Advance most of the battles are optional rather than necessary to complete the story. Battles, as well as other jobs like deliveries, can be accepted at pubs in cities. No longer do you fight other clans directly for control of areas, but annually attempt to earn control of an area through auctions. However, jilted clans may want to have it out with you after.

In Tactics Advance, the Law system was primarily one of punishment. If a character didn't follow the laws (Such as "No magic" or "No ranged weapons") for a given battle, they could end up in jail. In Tactics A2, however, laws are primarily a system of benefit. In each battle you get to pick a stat bonus from a list you earn throughout the game. If you break one of the laws you'll lose the bonus, and fallen characters can't be revived for the remainder of the battle (though they aren't permanently lost). You also won't get extra loot at the conclusion of the battle.

This game retains Tactics Advance's Job and Ability system, where each race (hume, viera, moogle, nu mou, bangaa, seeq, and gria) has access to certain base classes, and abilities are earned by equipping an item and earning Job Points. A difference is that even characters that don't take place in a battle will earn JP. Certain later classes must be earned by having characters learn enough abilities in earlier classes, and/or completing certain quests from the pub.

Sly and all of his buddies are back to their old tricks on new platforms. All the humor and adventure is back, and this time the friends are traveling through time, trying to save Sly's ancestors. The classic Sly Cooper game play is back, with sneaking, brawling, several playable characters all with different abilities, and mini-games galore.

Pokémon This Gym of Mine is a fangame developed using the RPG Maker XP software. In the game, the player assumes the role of a custom gym leader instead of a Pokemon trainer. Players create and customize their own gyms and challenge other players to battle against them. The game features unique elements such as gym and leader customization, an original soundtrack, and an engaging story with interesting characters.

Plot:

To start, you choose your Gym’s Pokemon type and your signature Pokemon. You’ll meet Mayor Dalton, who will keep you updated on your progress and everything else in the game.

At the beginning of the game you take responsibility for “Umbal City”. You’re the newest gym leader in town, and honestly no one in town has anything nice to say about you as you begin your epic journey. The region is overwhelmed by a wave of crime. An organization called Team Rocket is carrying out mass kidnappings of Pokémon, creating an unprecedented panic.

The police are doing everything they can to stop this period of repression, but the criminals are so organized that this is not enough. Some trainers decided to confront TEAM ROCKET by their own means, but without any real success, despite the success of some of them in thwarting the organization's plans.

In order to strengthen the trainers and to avoid centralizing the Pokémon in laboratories or centers, a measure has been put in place, consisting of equipping all trainers deemed capable of fighting with a Pokémon to defend themselves.

Professor Layton and his assistant Luke go to the small village of Saint-Mystère at the request of Dahlia Reinhold, second wife of the late Baron Reinhold, who wants their help in solving an enigma left by her late husband. Black Ops II is the ninth main title in the Call of Duty first-person shooter franchise and the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops. It is set primarily in the near future of 2025 with one third of the game also taking place in the late 1980s. Players follow the interconnected stories of Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and David Mason, while the antagonist, Raul Menendez, carries out a decade-long vendetta at the heart of the single-player campaign. The plot centers around a new conflict between China and the United States over rare earth elements (REE) and their manipulation by Menendez.

Regarding the gameplay, Black Ops II introduces sandbox-style missions called Strike Force, allowing players to command troops and drones from an overhead view, with the ability to switch to first-person shooter controls. The multiplayer features familiar game modes and a ranking system. A new ten-point system for customizing loadouts is introduced, and killstreaks are renamed "scorestreaks" to encourage objective-based play. New scorestreaks like lightning strikes and unmanned dragonfire drones are also added.

The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King video game again puts the fate of middle-earth in the hands of the gamer. In the last installment of the movie trilogy, destroy the Ring by casting it into the Crack of Doom, which frees Middle Earth from Dark Lord Sauron.

Return of the King's third person gameplay allows immersive action set in rich, interactive levels. The new game also features an all new co-op multiplayer mode which lets players form their own Fellowship and eight playable characters like Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimil, Sam and Frodo all played out by thier actual actors from the films, battle vicious boss monsters like Shelob and the final showdown with Dark Lord Sauron, all backed up by Academy Award winner Howard Shore.

Metal Gear Solid is a sequel to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. After the tragic confrontation with Big Boss, the hero, special agent Solid Snake, decided to retire and has since then lived in a secluded region in Alaska. But the US government recruits him once again for a dangerous mission. The members of Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit, threaten to use a devastating nuclear weapon if the government doesn't hand them the mortal remains of Big Boss, their former commander. Foxhound is now led by a talented, ambitious young man with the codename Liquid Snake. Knowing that the visual resemblance between this new terrorist mastermind and himself can not be coincidental, Solid Snake agrees to infiltrate the new Foxhound base, destroy the unknown nuclear weapon, and find the truth about his own identity.

The gameplay in Metal Gear Solid follows the prototype established in the two earlier Metal Gear games. Solid Snake has a limited arsenal of weapons and cannot allow himself to pave his way to the goal by killing all the enemies. He has to stay unnoticed, hide, crawl, wait for the right moment, sneak, and use various gadgets that will prevent him from alerting the enemy. Boss battles and some other sequences are played out as action-oriented set pieces, with the player having to figure out the weakness of the enemy in order to succeed.

The game utilizes traditional top-down view, but the graphics in this installment are real 3D. Conversations with Snake's allies and cutscenes are used extensively to advance the plot and gain more insight into it.

Burnout 3: Takedown is a racing game which encourages aggressive driving and lets you use your vehicle to smash your way to the finish line by taking out your rivals and causing massive multi-car pileups. The more cars you take out, damage you inflict, the more events and cars you can unlock. Burnout 3 also has a "crash" mode which puts your vehicle at a variety of traffic junctions jam-packed with moving vehicles and pickups to see just how much monetary damage you can inflict.

Burnout 3: Takedown continues the racing series with more cars, more tracks, a more detailed crash engine, and a multitude of new gameplay modes for single players, multiple players on one system, and online play.

Crash Mode: In addition to this gameplay element introduced in Burnout 2, Pick-ups have been added. They are scattered throughout the intersections. The Amazing Spider-Man is a tie-in to the movie of the same name. The story is a direct continuation of the movie and deals with an experiment gone wrong: Oscorp researches a cross-species mutation virus; the same which caused Lizard to appear. This virus reaches Manhattan and Spider-Man has to help the infected humans and find a cure.

This version returns to the open world-concept which was abandoned in the previous few installments. Spider-Man swings through Manhattan, although the web-shooting is performed automatically by pressing a button, on the way to the next plot point. Those are linear levels in which Spider-Man visits locations like sewers or laboratories and spends most of his time fighting enemies, including the new robot foes. The combat system is reminiscent to the free-flow system used in the Batman: Arkham series: Spidey quickly moves between enemies and bashes them; when his spider-sense goes off the player needs to use the evade button before getting hit. Because of Spider-Man's special abilities, he can walk on the ceiling and evade some combat sequences or use his web for a stealth takedown. It is also possible to quickly retreat to the ceiling in case the hero is on the losing side of battle. Besides combat, the levels feature maneuvering, a few open-the-door puzzles and boss fights.

Of course there are various distractions in the open world sequences, the most important being side missions. In those Spidey has to solve smaller tasks like exploring Oscorp labs, passing acrobatic challenges, photographing stuff or bringing infected people to a clinic. All this rewards experience points which can be used to improve Spider-Man's abilities. The collectibles in this game are comic book pages which unlock iconic Spider-Man issues. When in the open world, the player can activate Spidey's web rush ability by choosing on of the designated points on the map: then the game takes control and automatically swings to the point.

As Vincent, a man recently succumbed to the irresistible beauty of the game's titular diversion, players find themselves swept into a treacherous love triangle. Catherine's core themes those of free will, of the delicate nature of relationships and the choices we make within them, marry perfectly with the intense, terrorfilled gameplay that serves to accurately reflect Vincent's growing sense of anxiety. It is an experience wholly unlike any to come before it, and is certain to leave gamers talking and thinking about Vincent's tribulations long after the credits have rolled.

Driver: San Francisco is an action racing game where players take on the role of undercover cop John Tanner who continues to track down escaped convict Charles Jericho in a coma-induced dream after being hit by a Big Rig. The game takes place entirely inside a car and players have access to the entire city of San Francisco to explore without boundaries. A new addition to the series is the ability to Shift, where Tanner can dive into the body of any other driver in the city. The game also features multiplayer modes both online and offline.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted 'Black Edition, a collector's edition of Most Wanted, was released in celebration of the Need for Speed series' 10th anniversary and in conjunction with the release of Most Wanted. The Black Edition features additional races, bonus cars and other additional content. The Black Edition comes with a special feature DVD that contains interviews and videos about the game. The Black Edition was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2 and Xbox in the United States and Australia; only the PlayStation 2 version of Black Edition was released additionally for Europe.

Rayman Legends is a 2D platform game and a sequel to Rayman Origins. After the events of the previous game Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies went to a century-long sleep. During that time new nightmares have appeared in the world and the Magician (who was defeated in Rayman Origins) has been split into five dark teensies. These nightmares and dark teensies have captured the princesses of the land (including a new playable character Barbara) and other teensies. Naturally, Rayman and his friends are awoken once again to right the wrongs.

Rayman Legends retains the graphical style and most gameplay elements of Rayman Origins. Up to four players can simultaneously progress through side-scrolling levels defeating enemies and collecting Lums. On each level, there is a number of teensies to rescue and that opens up new levels and worlds. All the powers from the previous game (wall-running, air gliding, etc.) are available to the characters from the start, but some new gimmicks are added, for example, the ability to fire projectiles on some levels. Murfy the greenbottle appears on some levels to aid the players. With a press of a button, he operates machinery, pokes bigger enemies, and opens up passages for the characters. In some versions of the game, the fifth player can control Murphy's movement.

The game includes regular side-scrolling levels, "invaded" versions of levels that need to be completed as quickly as possible and rhythm-based levels with a soundtrack consisting of humorous covers of popular songs. In addition, forty remastered levels from Rayman Origins can be unlocked by collecting Lucky tickets. The game offers daily and weekly challenges and a local multiplayer soccer mini-game titled Kung Foot.

This installment in the Need for Speed series, Underground 2 is a racing game based on illicit, night time races, with the player gaining street credit, cash and access to unique tuner parts by schooling the competition.

Taking place in a massive, open city, NFS Underground 2 allows players to explore the city at will, engaging random challengers and moving into the coveted Underground Racing League. Once in the Underground Racing League, the player advances first by race wins, then with building up their tuner car and taking on tougher opponents. The objective is to win all Underground Racing League engagements and trick out your car to the max.

The PC version is the only version that allows the user to save magazine screen shots of your tricked out car to disk.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is a two dimensional fighting game released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is a remake of Super Street Fighter II Turbo and includes both the original game, and a remixed version with completely redrawn high definition graphics and rebalanced gameplay. The game features the same characters as Super Street Fighter II Turbo and has two modes: classic and remix. In addition it includes online multiplayer, a training mode, a remixed and classic soundtrack, a Quarter Match mode where players can spectate and join games, voice chat support, an 8-player tournament mode, rankings, leaderboards and statistics.

The Need for Speed: Carbon – Collector's Edition was released for PlayStation 2. It features four exclusive cars, ten pre-tuned cars, six new races, three unique challenge events, ten unique vinyls and a Bonus DVD showing the making of Carbon and showcasing all the cars used in the game. The Collector's Edition also features alternate box art and a metallic-finish sleeve encasing the case of the game. Although the Mac edition doesn't display the Collector's Edition title, it contains all Collector's Edition features. The downloaded version of the game features the Ultimate Performance Kit, 2006 Pagani Zonda F and the 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T.

Tasked with protecting a village, the player character along with other angels (celestials) are attempting to reach God's land. By helping and protecting his town and earning their thanks, the main character obtains enough benevolence for the World Tree to produce the Goddess Fruit. This fruit is the only sure way to enter God's land. Things don't go according to plan, taking the player into the adventure proper.

Dragon Quest IX marks a number of firsts for the series: it is the first title to be initially launched for a handheld system and to have no real random encounters (unless travelling over sea). Instead the player can see the enemies on the map. Even though the game isn't the first main series title in 3D, for the first time all equipable items are visible on the characters models at all times.

Furthermore, the game was created with the intent of having a multiplayer focus: players can bring their adventurers into their friends' worlds via wireless connection to play alongside them and even swap copies of their heroes which may bring special items like treasure maps with them. There's also downloadable content available through Wi Fi, like new items and quests.

Similar to previous titles, combat is turn-based, where the player selects tasks for each of the characters: attack, use item, cast a spell etc. Like in Dragon Quest III, all party members are created by the player; unlike the hero, they don't fulfil specific roles in the narrative and may be swapped at a special service available at inns.

The Twin Snakes is a remake of the 1998 tactical espionage action game Metal Gear Solid.

The remake has the same story and dialogues as the original (although voice-overs were re-recorded for this release). The locations in the game also remained the same, but the graphics were updated to look equal in quality to contemporary games. Gameplay was also enhanced, featuring the additions that first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 2. Snake can now roll, hang from ledges, hide in lockers, drag guards' bodies away, as well as aim and shoot from first-person view. New weapons from Metal Gear Solid 2 (such as tranquilizer gun) are also present.

Another noticeable change is in the game's cutscenes. Directed by the Japanese action movie director Ryuhei Kitamura, the cutscenes have been re-worked, featuring dramatic techniques used in action movies, such as slow motion and other effects.

The story of Twilight Syndrome: Saikai focuses on four Japanese teenagers: Yuri, her sister Masa, and their friends Atsushi and Aya. The third entry in the Twilight Syndrome series is also a horror adventure, sharing most gameplay elements with its predecessors. The gameplay here is very minimalistic: the player can navigate the 3D models of the heroes (several characters can be controlled at once, as a group) through the limited areas (also rendered in 3D), searching for clues and escaping from danger. There is no other interaction, no usable items, and no combat.

Dialogue and action choices will pop out during many situations. Some of these choices do not influence the narrative, while others might change the following dialogue, and also lead the young heroes to premature death.

An additional gameplay mode (beside the story mode) is free-roaming exploration for Yuri, who can explore the school and its surroundings at night and gather more stories from the ghosts she encounters.

You also have a crime level which makes gang members and police able to identify you. You can lower your crime level by purchasing and then wearing different outfits. You can also level up your characters attack, stamina and technique by gaining experience from fighting, There are two multiplayer modes in Beatdown: VS mode normal, where you can select up to three characters for your team, then choose player vs cpu, player vs player and cpu vs cpu; and also VS mode custom, where you select up to three characters for your team and load a three character party that you have recruited from the single player game.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour is the first CoD game on the consoles. The story spans through three different fronts in the Second World War through three soldiers' viewpoints. The second rally racer from Kemco on the N64 provides a vastly different style of rally racing to the original Top Gear Rally.

Along with the new option to join a rally racing team, who supports you through-out each championship cup you take part in. Money raised by each vistory or top place in the cups goes towards improving your car, or reparing any problems. If you take a wrong turn and damage a part of your car (which can be anything from tyres to a full engine), the repairs come out of your pocket, so driving carefully is important. New sponsership deals and bigger team call ups will also come into play the better you race, allowing the chance to drive the more powerful rally cars and play for big money.

Much like the real rally championship, you don't race against other cars in the cups. Instead, you must race the clock. Whoever clocks the best time for each stage will win the points and move on to the next stage and the bigger cup challenges.

You can also take part in the usual arcade rally style against 4 other cars, with the first to get to the finish taking the points. 2 players can play as part of one team during a championship campaign, as well up to four players split screen in the arcade mode.

Heihachi Mishima, the head of the powerful Mishima Zaibatsu, has been dethroned and defeated by his son Kazuya, backed and possessed by the Devil himself. Under his leadership, the organization has grown even more corrupt, and is involved in illegal animal experiments. An animal rights activist named Jun Kazama is sent to confront Kazuya. Meanwhile, Heihachi is plotting to overthrow his son. In attempt to draw his father out, Kazuya organizes the second King of the Iron Fist tournament.

The follow-up to Tekken is a versus fighting game featuring similar mechanics, with four buttons assigned to left and right punches and kicks. New moves include back throws, chain-throws, and a sidestep unique to Kazuya and Heihachi Mishima. Tackles now inflict damage depending on the distance.

The game also introduces three new gameplay modes: Survival, Team Battle and Time Attack mode. Survival mode is an endless series of matches, keeping track of the number of opponents the player defeats and not restoring the controllable character to full health after each battle. Team Battle is a two-player mode with up to eight selectable characters. Time Attack offers the opportunity to establish records in timed combat.

The once peaceful town is now overrun with zombies and all manner of genetic mutations. New police recruit Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield; the sister of STARS agent Chris Redfield, find themselves in the middle of an experiment gone horribly wrong. The sequel to Shinji Mikami's breakthrough title, Resident Evil 2 provides two intertwining adventures for players to embark on.

After completing the game with either Chris or Claire, players can restart the title as the other character in order to gain a different perspective of the mysterious goings on in Raccoon City. In addition, certain actions taken by the player on the first playthrough will affect the second game. For example, if Leon were to take an automatic weapon out of a particular locker, that weapon would not be there when Claire finally makes her way to the room. Ada Wong and Sherry Birkin are two members of the supporting cast, and whose paths the player will cross on multiple occasions.

Gameplay remains untouched from the first title, requiring players to destroy any undead creatures that get in their way; obtain items in order to solve puzzles; ink ribbons to save their game; and ultimately, to get to the bottom of the mysterious circumstances surrounding the hellish nightmare that Raccoon City has become. Weapons and ammunition are scattered throughout the city, but the number of items that can be carried at once is limited, requiring players to make use of item boxes spread around the environments.

The main addition to the gameplay is the "Zapping System": Each of the two playable characters is confronted with different puzzles and storylines in their respective scenario.After finishing the "A" scenario with one protagonist, a "B" scenario is unlocked in which the events are depicted from the other character's perspective. Actions taken during the first playthrough affect the second scenario, for example in the availability of certain items.

After each game, the player receives a ranking based on the total time taken to complete the scenario, and the number of saves and first aid sprays used. Depending on certain requirements, bonus weapons and costumes are unlocked as a reward.

Additional minigames are available in the form of "The 4th Survivor", "The To-fu Survivor" and "Extreme Battle", three standalone missions featuring an extended cast of characters.
