  1. A follow up to the Dreamcast title Jet Grind Radio. The setting is Tokyo in the year 2024. Freedom is a valuable commodity and freedom of expression even more so. Gangs of misbehaving teens strap on rocket-powered roller blades and skate, grind, and mark their territory with graffiti tags.

Players take the role of the GGs, and can choose between any member of the gang, each with different stats, while in gang HQ. The city of Tokyo can be leisurely explored without a time limit, but the heat will be turned up when story missions are activated and the GGs find themselves being challenged by rival gangs or under attack from the cops. This time around spraying no longer requires thumbstick inputs; just roll up and start spraying away, although large tags still require more cans than smaller tags. Each section of the city has hidden objectives that are revealed by finding a hidden tape, and once completed these challenges will unlock new graffiti patterns.

In multiplayer modes players can challenge each other to races, point battles, and other competitions both in zones from the single player game as well as in special arenas.

  3. A new substance has been discovered that can clone any item or creature on the planet. Called C.A.R.D. technology, any Hunter can carry a simple deck of cards that represent the various weapons available. This new discovery leads to the colonization of Ragol 2 and the birth of a new faction (calling themselves the Arkz) who oppose the government's actions.

You can choose either side, the Arkz or Heroes, which both determines the abilities and cards available to you and the strategy decisions you must make in battle. The Heroes are the stronger of the two at first, with various weapons available to them, while the Arkz can summon creatures to their aid. Gameplay is similar to Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh, using the power and abilities of each card in turn to defeat the enemy.

Episode III can be played both offline and online, with the online system using a ranking system so you can compete against fair opponents.

  7. Conker the Squirrel has had a really bad day. Too much partying, too much booze - and the result is predictable: a terrible hangover. What is less predictable, however, is the fact that Conker has no idea where he is. All he wants is to go home to his girlfriend Berri, but it seems that an unknown force has thrown him into another world. The ruler of said world, the dumb, but vicious Panther King, is having a serious problem: he has been just drinking milk when he discovered that the table in his throne room is missing one of its legs. Unable to solve the problem by himself, the enraged monarch sends for the mad weasel scientist, Professor Von Kriplespac, who suggests a red squirrel as a replacement for the table's lost leg. The Panther King sends his minions after Conker, who has to explore the bizarre world, deal with its eccentric characters, stay alive, and find a way to return home.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is a grotesque counterpart to Rare's own cheerful, child-oriented 3D action platformers (such as for example Banjo-Kazooie). Intense swearing, violence, and instances of "toilet humor" co-exist with cute animals and a brightly colorful fantasy world. The game also contains segments that parody famous movies, such as The Matrix, Terminator, and others.

The core of the gameplay is 3D platform action. Conker can jump, climb, swim, and attack enemies with various weapons (the default one being a frying pan). Conker can also collect money, which is sometimes needed to advance to a new area. The game world is reasonably open, containing an overworld from which the player can access large levels that take a while to explore. Talking to characters and performing tasks offered by them is one of the main devices used to advance the plot and unlock a different area.

A multiplayer mode is also included, allowing 4 players to battle it out in many different styles of multiplayer gameplay, including a deathmatch, a race, a "capture the flag"-like mini-game, etc.

  8. This version is different from its DS and GBA versions. The story has Crash's arch-nemeses, Neo and Nina Cortex, creating a device that turns the creatures on Crash's island into monsters, threatening to bring an end to existence on the peaceful island. Crash must stop them by "hijacking" these monsters and wield their power against the Cortex's.

The gameplay has the player explore levels, picking up power-ups to use against enemies as well as for the first time, use fighting combos such as punches and kicks against enemies. Players can also "hijack" 15 different enemy monsters to use against the others, each with their own special abilities and powers like fire breathing and earthquakes. Players can also interact with their world, climbing trees and swinging from ropes and even surf and skate throughout the levels. There is also co-op abilities where a friend can pop into the game at any point.

The games across are almost identical, excluding controls (the Wii utilizes the Wii-remote) and graphics are different depending on the systems graphics capabilities.

  10. Sonic Adventure X2 is a mod for Sonic Adventure 2: Battle that includes a French dub using the official voice cast from the Sonic X series. The goal is to provide a fully French experience while staying true to the original adaptation: Dr. Eggman is once again called "Robotnik," and the "Chaos Emeralds" become the "Émeraudes du Chaos." The dialogues come from official recordings, and when certain lines are missing, AI models are used to recreate them. The idea is not to replace the voice actors but to make the most of the existing dubs to adapt the game into French.

  11. Another of the Magic: The Gathering series, where you are a battle mage trying to challenge the authority of the new ultimate planeswalker of the lands.

This combined strategy based interface with a real-time action battle simulation, is an attempt to "put to life" the creatures of the cards in real-time battle.

The storyline has different possibilities for the hero to take, so the course of the game differs for every new game.

  12. In Tales of Phantasia the player controls a young boy named Cless, who lives together with his parents in a quiet village. It was a day like all the others when Cless decided to go hunting with his best friend Chester. Chasing a wild boar, Cless discovered a strange talking tree in the forest who was pleading him for help. But as soon as it stopped speaking, the two friends heard the sound of an alarm. They returned to the village and found it burnt down, and all its inhabitants murdered. Before Cless' mother died in his arms, she told him this terrible massacre had something to do with the pendant she and her husband gave Cless for his birthday... what connection could there be? Cless decides to visit his uncle who lives in another town, but he doesn't realize his journey will take him to much more remote places than that.

Tales of Phantasia is a Japanese-style role-playing game with an unusual combat system: the battles are action-based and are fought on separate side-scrolling screens. The player directly controls one character, while other party members are controlled by AI. It is possible to pause the game at any time and use magic, items, or choose an overall strategy for the allies.

    Drakengard 3

In earlier times, the world was ravaged by endless war and conflict. The fighting only ceased when five sisters with godlike powers used their song magic to defeat the warlords and bring peace throughout the lands. These Intoners now rule over various parts of the world, where they are adored and worshipped by their subjects. However, there is a sixth and eldest sister, Zero, who wishes to kill her siblings and take their power for herself. One year after failing to defeat the other Intoners, Zero sets out with her dragon Mikhail to kill them one by one.

Taking place about a century prior to the first Drakengard, this game puts the player in the role of Zero, who can be accompanied by up to two AI characters who join over the course of the story. Gameplay is largely similar to other entries in the series, comprised of hack-and-slash fighting on the ground and aerial combat in which Zero rides Mikhail. Performing combos fills up Zero's Tension Gauge, which she can tap into to unleash her Intoner powers. In Intoner Mode, Zero's speed and attack power increase, and she becomes invulnerable to enemy attacks. Zero can use four different types of weapons: swords, bracers, chakrams, and spears, and each individual weapon can be leveled up the more it is used in combat.

  22. Oliver was alone after his mother died trying to save him from drowning. When he sheds tears over a doll she made for him, it comes to life as Drippy, Lord High Lord of the Fairies. Drippy reveals that he comes from another world where the souls of Oliver's world are directly connected to equivalent souls. Oliver follows Drippy to this world in the hope of finding his mother's double, the Great Sage Alicia, who may hold the key to bringing his mother back to life, while Drippy hopes that Oliver is the legendary wizard who will save his world from the Dark Djinn Shaddar.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a role-playing game which follows a similar story to the previous game, Shikkoku no Madōshi, but taking a different turn near the middle. The player controls Oliver and his Familiars, summon-able creatures who share Oliver's HP and MP but whose other attributes are their own. Enemies wonder the overworld and dungeons and the player goes into battle with them when they run into them. Combat is real-time with the player giving commands for attacks which last a set time. The player can switch between Oliver and a Familiar in the party at any time, but the Familiars can only stay in battle for a certain amount of time before they need to be retired from the encounter.

During the game, Oliver will encounter people with a surplus or deficit of certain personality traits such as enthusiasm. He must take the surplus from those with and give it to those with a deficit. Oliver can also run errands for people he encounters, which provide him with merit stamps he can exchange for rewards.

    Kirby: Mouse Attack

Kirby's back and ready for a bellyful of adventure. When someone steals some strawberry shortcake, the pink powerhouse sets out after them, learning new skills. Players can expect all the floating, jumping and battling of a classic Kirby game, but this time, Kirby-s copy abilities have been massively boosted. Not only can players mix and match copy abilities by using the stylus to drag them together inside Kirby's belly (located on the touch screen), but the powers themselves now have the ability to affect the environment, as well as foes. Burn trees and grasses with the Fire ability, freeze water with the Ice ability. In sub-game mode, this game also features multiplayer fun for up to four players, using either Multi-Card or DS Download Play over DS Local Area Network.

  24. Vice City Stories is a prequel to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2 years earlier). Set in 1984, players take on the role of Vic Vance, an army soldier who loves his country, family, and himself. One bad decision turns everything around and he is kicked onto the streets of a tough city. He has to build an empire to survive, or be left to die. Together with his brother Lance, a drug addict, the siblings try to take over Vice City.

Just like other GTA titles, gameplay consists of third-person shooting and driving sequences in an open environment. You will meet new enemies and gangs, and old foes. The missions require you to kill with a selection of weapons, steal vehicles such as a car, a boat, or a plane, rob to make it big, or just to have fun. New features for the portable version include swimming, and side missions such as Air Rescue, Vigilante, Firefighter, and Paramedic.

Similar to San Andreas' gang wars, this title has an Empire mode. To make money, you have to take over businesses from other gangs. By attacking and damaging rival businesses, it will be put up for sale, for you to take over. With a new building constructed, you can then choose an activity such as prostitution, drugs, protection racket, smuggling, robbery, or work as a loan shark. These activities earn money and the location in the city influences the revenue.

Multiplayer on PSP is available over Wi-Fi with ten different game modes, either focusing on fighting (Vice City Survivor), businesses (Empire Takedown), racing (Street Rage), stealing/selling (Grand Theft Auto), capture the flag game types, or games centered around a single vehicle such as a tank.

  25. After a devastating atomic war, the world population was nearly annihilated, and the survivors had to hide deep underground. In the meantime, a peaceful race of human-like creatures, the boozooks, populated the Earth. After the humans ascended to the surface again, they started a bloody war against this race. The boozooks were mercilessly destroyed, their culture demolished, and in the end of the war they were enslaved by humans.

The vertical, economically self-sufficient city of Vlurxtrznbnaxl was erected, controlled by a corrupt leader known as BigWig, who oppressed population with heavy taxes and freedom restrictions. The genius Professor Azimuth, sympathetic to the cause of the boozooks, has discovered a mysterious object or entity known as the Schnibble, which apparently could bring peace and prosperity to the world. However, BigWig's henchmen kidnap the professor and even shoot a teddy bear that belongs to his little adopted half-boozook son Woodruff. Applying a device called Viblefrotzer to himself, Woodruff physically ages fifteen years, and feels strong enough to begin a search for his foster father and find a way to dethrone BigWig.

Woodruff is an adventure game with a cartoon-like appearance and many tricky puzzles, similar in art style and design to the Gobliiins series by the same creators. Unlike Gobliiins, this is a full-fledged adventure where the player character can move around freely, explore the large city, and interact with many characters. The interaction with the environment is done with a simple point-and-click system, without separate verb commands. The majority of the puzzles are inventory based; beside items, Woodruff can also use various spells (such as, for example, levitation) as well as ancient boozook formulae, which he has to learn and collect in order to advance in the game.

    Silent Hill 3

In Silent Hill 3 the player controls Heather, a simple teenage girl. One fine day she goes shopping, but suddenly finds herself trapped in a strange, terrifying place - the eerie town Silent Hill. She hears footsteps; disgusting, creepy monsters attack her, and she has to defend herself. Exploring Silent Hill - and her own past - Heather must find a way to escape the dreadful town.

The third installment in the Silent Hill series is similar to its predecessor visually and gameplay-wise. Like the previous entries, it is a survival horror game combining action-based (predominantly close-ranged) combat and puzzle-solving. The game is somewhat more combat-oriented than the preceding installments. Heather is able to side-step and block some attacks, but in general shares with the other protagonists of the series their relative ineptitude in combat.

  27. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is a PSP port of the original PlayStation video game Valkyrie Profile. It is based on the original Japanese version and therefore it does not have any of the improvements that the English version has, such as the animation of Lezard's tower. New things that were added for this version are full motion video sequences, replacing or adding to the original semi-drafted story scenes.

The English version of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth uses an enhanced version of the original game's localization and reuses the original English voiceover track. The original game's English script was cleaned up and additional voice-overs dialogues were recorded for the CG movies.

It's up to Jackie Chan to travel the world and stop Valmont before he completes his goal.

Along the way, he will collect twelve mystical Talismans - one for each sign of the Chinese zodiac. These Talismans grant Jackie special powers, including levitation, laser eyes, re-animation, transformation, and invisibility.

Jackie Chan Adventures is a cross between an action-adventure similar to The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time and a beat 'em up. Players control Jackie, who can perform a variety of Kung Fu moves to defeat enemies. They can also perform Jackie's trademark 'running up walls' technique to reach certain areas. Other areas allow Jackie to interact with characters and play mini-games such as fishing, jump rope or drum playing. 38. When someone dies with a powerful grudge, a curse is born. A series of Ju-On horror movies all by the same director have been popular since 2000 first in Japan and then remade in Hollywood first in 2004 as The Grudge.

Here, it's an adventure game of the "haunted house simulator" type in which Erika Yamada comes into contact with a curse while searching for her dog in an abandoned warehouse. Then, when she returns home, all the family members she encounters also become cursed. You play as each character in the first person, facing their own challenging episode.

The locations vary from a rundown factory to an empty hospital, an apartment building, a mannequin factory, and the cursed house from the movie. The game is basically an interactive horror movie which tries to scare you as you explore the locations and attempt to survive against the supernatural forces. The Wii remote controls the player's flashlight and movement through the game. If the player flinches at scare moments with the remote, their score goes down. A person with a second remote can also trigger scary events for the main player. The player must keep moving while finding keys to open doors and also find batteries to replenish the flashlight or else you will be attacked and die.

  39. A wrestling game featuring a large and varied number of attractive women. The playable characters run the gamut: nurses, schoolgirls, cowgirls, ninjas, and many more. Each combatant has her own repository of clothes to choose from before each match, from a wide selection of standard wrestling outfits, to a series of bikinis, used mainly for the Mud Wrestling mode in the game.

A great deal of the game revolves around the personalities of the fighters and the usage of the reputation system. Several matches will require that the player be sworn not to use dirty tactics such as using weapons found around the ring or even to humiliate the opponent. These oaths can be broken by the player, but the consequences are the loss of fan popularity and for the player's chosen character to develop a dark side to their persona.

Popularity comes into play in the game, not only as a statistical boost for the player, but also as an actual aide in combat when the player finds the audience cheering and helping their character to win the match. Much like similar wrestling/fighting titles such as Def Jam: Fight for NY, this sort of help can be a difference maker in a close match.

  40. Pokémon White Version along with Pokémon Black Version mark the 5th generation of the main series. This version exclusively features the legendary Pokémon Zekrom. The player's objective, once again, is to collect all of the monsters and become the best trainer in the world. The player and two of his or her best friends get three Pokémon as presents from Professor Juniper, and each has to choose one. These are: fire-type Tepig, grass-type Snivy, and water-type Oshawott. Now a whole new world awaits the player to explore and all-new Pokémon to catch.

This generation marks a few significant changes to the tried formula. For the first time the Pokémon are fully animated during battles, along with new attack and status-change animations. The graphics have been polished and revamped, experimenting with a whole new 3D perspectives in certain areas. There are also two new types of battles: rotation battle in which you can swap between three Pokémon at any given time allowing for more strategy, and 3vs3 battles where three monsters fight alongside and help each other. Implemented are also changing seasons - certain seasons allow for different Pokémon to encounter and make some areas accessible only at a given time.

Aside from the legendary Pokémon to catch, choosing the version of the game gives you the opportunity to visit an exclusive area. The White Version features the green area of White Forest.

  42. With the threat of civil war at an all-time high and bloodthirsty warlords in pursuit of territory and regional recognition, Japan desperately needs an intervention -- a group of heroes that will band together and save the once peaceful land. When desperation sets in, the common man looks to the House of Gohda; Lord Gohda Matsunoshin enlists the services of deadly, shadow warriors known as the Azuma Ninja in times of dire need.

Matsunoshin has called upon three young warriors: Rikimaru, Ayame and Tatsumaru; the aforementioned characters, excluding the latter, were called upon in Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. Together, they'll not only have to save the House of Gohda from an unparalleled evil, the young ninjas must improve their stealth and further develop their skills.

Developed by Acquire, Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins is a prequel to Tenchu: Stealth Assassins; the events found within this game happened before those in the original. Retaining the third-person 3D viewpoint and stealth tactics, this prequel features over 21 new techniques including devastating deathblows and weapon combinations. Depending on which character you choose will determine your fighting style as each comes with his or her own unique weapons. Unlike the original, characters can now swim through trenches and other bodies of water. Additionally, players now have the option of dragging dead corpses into secluded areas; if someone sees a dead body, they're going to know something's wrong and begin combing the area for clues.

There are 29 unique missions involving the assassination of certain warlords, the protection of innocents and the elimination of unwanted troops. While you could run out in the open, the point behind this series is to remain undetected and silently slay the given targets. This involves propelling yourself onto rooftops and trees with a grappling hook and quietly sliding around walls while focusing on the surrounding environment. Finishing missions without being seen will earn you higher rankings and secret goodies.

Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins also includes a Mission Editor that allows to create your very own mission objectives and 3D worlds. After giving the mission a name and objective, you can utilize the terrain or character editor and begin constructing a level; building either a dojo or village-type level, you'll have access to textures and prefabricated items found within the actual game. Although the developers denied players full use of the game's engine editor (there are no backgrounds in custom made scenarios), it allows you to adjust terrain heights, place trees and assorted items and set patrolling paths for the enemy forces you put into the map.

    Obscure

Something is very wrong at Leafmore High. The entire school has turned dark and foreboding, strange sounds echo in the halls, and several people have mysteriously gone missing. One group of brave teens decides to find out what's going on... no matter what. They have no idea what kind of horrors have gripped the school and everyone in it. In the darkness, the evil has power... but add light and they can be defeated. Will they survive the night ahead?

In Solo Mode, choose from 5 characters with different personalities, aptitude and perspectives. Change between them at any time (as long as they are still alive).

The player can also select a second person (as a "teammate") to accompany the player by going to a "gathering point" in the game. At any time during play, the player can switch control between the first character and the second, thereby accessing their special talents.

There are several basic types of weapons used in the game: contact (a baseball bat for instance), pistols, guns, and more exotic, high-powered "special" weapons. Ammunition is specific for each gun or pistol and is not interchangeable. Weapons can be swapped between characters and ammunition found is stored in the group's reserves for sharing amongst them.

The player will also be gathering up first-aid kits, discs (for saving games), keys, screwdrivers and other tools. Other objects are required for solving riddles within the game.

  46. Jak II is a 3D action platform game and sequel to Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. After completing their quest from the original title, Jak and Daxter are shot into another time and space and the future of their planet, and everything is different. The two are split up, with Jak thrown into jail by Baron Praxis, the ruler of Haven City. For two years Jak is experimented on with dark Eco, turning him into an almost Hulk-like character, mean and filled with rage.

Rescued by Daxter, the two must set off and find a way to shut down the operation and get revenge for Jak's uncontrollable change. Along the way they will meet new friends and deadly enemies (known as Metal Heads), but at least now Jak has something special on his side: weapons, and lots of them. Including a shotgun, sniper rifle, machine gun and a powerful blast weapon. Gameplay includes platforming, vehicle racing, rescue missions, hover boarding, playing mini games and shooting at various enemies (including boss fights).
