In Bleach: Soul Resurreccion, players can relive the battles of Ichigo and the Soul Reapers as seen in the Bleach anime. Players have to take out Aizen and his army of Arrancars in horde battles similar to the ones seen in the Dynasty Warriors series.
The game features 14 story chapters to play through and 21 playable characters from the Bleach cast, each having their own special attacks they can perform. Players will defeat their foes by completing combos which can also be powered up when executed with proper timing. Defeated enemies and destroyed objects produce Soul Points which are used to buy character upgrades. Performing lengthy combos will multiply the number of Soul Points earned.3 points -
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker
GprLeMuscle and one other reacted to GambierBae for a game
In Monsters: Joker, you play an aspiring monster tournament competitor. The goal is to recruit and train a team of monsters powerful enough to win the Monster Tournament of the Granpool Archipelago.
The game uses the same combat engine as Dragon Quest VIII, turn-based where commands are issued, and then the game shows the results in 3D.
There are many monsters spread over 8 families so it is up to the player to find a combination that takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of the monsters. The player's character also doesn't fight directly in the battles, but aids the monster team with potions and other power ups.
Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is also used to fight a battle vs AI opponents ranked similar to the players monsters, however this can only be done once per day so the daily rewards aren't over collected.2 points -
FIFA Street

FIFA Street is a combination of arcade action blended with the culture of freestyle street soccer. By removing the rules from the simulation soccer experience, FIFA Street exposes the heart of the world's beautiful game, on-the-ball flare and individual style. Leading this movement are the worlds top professional players, showing off their skills and individual style in 4-on-4 match-ups against the backdrop of global venues that represent the true culture of street soccer. As the first game to support dynamic 1-on-1 encounters, beating your opponent will require skill, technique, and the careful selection of specific moves. As a gamer you'll take on the best and be required to earn their respect, gradually building your reputation and team into an unstoppable force that leads the tide of street soccer.2 points -
Tasked with protecting a village, the player character along with other angels (celestials) are attempting to reach God's land. By helping and protecting his town and earning their thanks, the main character obtains enough benevolence for the World Tree to produce the Goddess Fruit. This fruit is the only sure way to enter God's land. Things don't go according to plan, taking the player into the adventure proper.
Dragon Quest IX marks a number of firsts for the series: it is the first title to be initially launched for a handheld system and to have no real random encounters (unless travelling over sea). Instead the player can see the enemies on the map. Even though the game isn't the first main series title in 3D, for the first time all equipable items are visible on the characters models at all times.
Furthermore, the game was created with the intent of having a multiplayer focus: players can bring their adventurers into their friends' worlds via wireless connection to play alongside them and even swap copies of their heroes which may bring special items like treasure maps with them. There's also downloadable content available through Wi Fi, like new items and quests.
Similar to previous titles, combat is turn-based, where the player selects tasks for each of the characters: attack, use item, cast a spell etc. Like in Dragon Quest III, all party members are created by the player; unlike the hero, they don't fulfil specific roles in the narrative and may be swapped at a special service available at inns.2 points -
Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul
jibe and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul is a 3D one-on-one fighting game based on the Saint Seiya manga series. There are 48 characters in the game, with different types of skins, and 39 of those were previously part of the 2013 title Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers. There are two story modes. One is called Legend of Cosmo and follows the story from the 12 Houses arc to the Hades arc. The other one is called Battle of Gold. This mode contains twelve Gold Saints each with their own story segment and match-ups that are entirely new for the series.
In the free battle mode any unlocked character can be selected. Fighting is done in an environment with full 3D movement. Each character has basic moves and specials based on a Cosmo Gauge. Compared to Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers Cosmos recharges faster now and there are no longer bars. Instead there is now a Seven Sense Awakening bar to access the Seventh Sense mode when it is full. That is now the way to perform Big Bang Attacks, which were previously part of the Cosmo mechanic. Photon is a new type of projectile available for all characters.
The orb system is still present with a new feature called Assist Phrase for a boost when a specific requirement is met. The Cosmic K.O. is a new type of finisher.2 points -
Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a street-racing game with single-player and multiplayer modes set in the nighttime tuner scene. After proving yourself in early races, you enter Metro City, an open world where you can freely roam, discover events, and challenge rivals.

Events include Sprint, Circuit, Drag and Drift, each rewarding cash used for performance parts and visual customization. A standout feature is the deep tuning system, offering hundreds of performance and cosmetic upgrades, from engine parts to body kits, paint and neon. Cars can be transformed from basic models into top-tier machines. Multiplayer supports online or split-screen racing (up to eight players), with extras like replays.
Metro’s sandbox also includes Outrun free-roam challenges, optional time trials, drift events and hidden collectibles.2 points -
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Melkiaa and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows has both similarities and differences compared to previous Spider-Man games. It starts with Spider-Man gaining symbiote powers from a fight with Venom. With the help of Luke Cage, he trains to battle city gangs. The city falls into chaos as the symbiote spreads, controlling people. Spider-Man embarks on a mission to save New York.
Swinging through the city, Spider-Man fights bad guys using red or black suits, each with unique abilities. Your choice of suit doesn't affect the game's outcome, but moral decisions do. These choices shape the story and lead to different endings. Earning points upgrades Spider-Man's moves.2 points -
This version is different from its DS and GBA versions. The story has Crash's arch-nemeses, Neo and Nina Cortex, creating a device that turns the creatures on Crash's island into monsters, threatening to bring an end to existence on the peaceful island. Crash must stop them by "hijacking" these monsters and wield their power against the Cortex's.
The gameplay has the player explore levels, picking up power-ups to use against enemies as well as for the first time, use fighting combos such as punches and kicks against enemies. Players can also "hijack" 15 different enemy monsters to use against the others, each with their own special abilities and powers like fire breathing and earthquakes. Players can also interact with their world, climbing trees and swinging from ropes and even surf and skate throughout the levels. There is also co-op abilities where a friend can pop into the game at any point.
The games across are almost identical, excluding controls (the Wii utilizes the Wii-remote) and graphics are different depending on the systems graphics capabilities.2 points -

Hotel Dusk: Room 215
melou666 reacted to GambierBae for a game
Kyle Hyde, a former New York cop, gets by with a salesman's job. He's sent to Hotel Dusk, a hotel in the middle of nowhere, to search for some particular items. But, as he spends the night there, the secrets and past of the hotel's guests reveal themselves. What is so special about Room 215? What do these people have to hide? It's up to you to take control and find out.
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 is an adventure game from the creators of Another Code. The player takes on the role of Kyle Hyde as he searches through Hotel Dusk. You hold the DS in the same manner as you would a book to play. The game takes place in two different perspectives: the touch screen is used to navigate top-down through the hotel, while the top screen displays a first person view of your surroundings. You can strike up a conversation with the guests, and when you do, Kyle, along with any questions you have, appear on the touch screen. The person you're questioning appears on the top screen. When interrogating people, you can stop them at points in conversation and press them for information. However, if you're not careful, you'll arouse suspicion and may even get kicked out of the hotel.
The game also features different kinds of puzzles, ranging from physically using your inventory to manipulate objects (such as jiggling a wire in a lock to pick it), or completing logic puzzles, like assembling a jigsaw. Hotel Dusk also features a unique art style: the characters are drawn in an animated sketchbook-type fashion. Some scenes feature a partially watercolored look, but most of the time the characters themselves appear in black and white.1 point -
In an all new 2D side-scrolling adventure, Mario and Luigi return after nearly fifteen years. The first traditional Mario Bros. game since Super Mario World.
The character models are rendered in real time 3D, allowing for a far greater number of moves ever before seen in a Mario Bros. title. Also as the game is on DS, the touch screen allows players to store an additional power-up and view the distance still to go in a level.
Bowser and Bowser Jr. has kidnapped Princess Peach, and of course, it is up to Mario and Luigi to rescue her and take down the troublemakers. There are eight new worlds to explore, much like in Mario 3: they are Plains, Desert, Tropical Island, Forest, Ice, Mountains, Sky, and Bowser's Lair.
The eight worlds have eighty distinct levels as well as many secrets that will only be found on careful examination. There are also many new power-ups (the mega mushroom and Koopa shell, for instance) for the brothers to collect.1 point -
In Apocalypse, the player takes the role of Trey Kincaird, a nano-physicist with the look and voice of Bruce Willis. He has a simple but challenging goal: defeating the Four Horsemen to avoid the apocalypse and the end of the world.

Luigi's Mansion
IlyCreepy reacted to RomStation for a game
Luigi's Mansion pits you as Luigi, Mario's forgotten brother.
Luigi, while checking his mail, found out he won a mansion in a contest. What's weird, is he never entered any contest to begin with. Being the curious person he is, he calls up his brother, Mario, and asks to meet him at the house.
Luigi sets forth through a dark and scary jungle to find the house, but sees that Mario is nowhere to be found. Puzzled, Luigi enters the mansion, only to encounter ghosts. He meets up with a scientist, Professor E. Gadd, who explains the situation and hands over the Poltergust 3000. Luigi must now make his way through the mansion's many rooms, sucking up as many ghosts as he can.
As you explore, you must solve mysteries, collect cash/gems/jewels/coins, and encounter boss characters. Luigi's vacuum has the ability to suck up ghosts that have inhabited this strange mansion. However, the ghosts will not give up so easily. You must struggle with them and pull them back to catch your prey with your trusty vacuum. As you continue to your goal, you must face off with the deceased denizens of the house and the boos that haunt it, and unlock new rooms with the keys you find along the way. You can also gain special abilities for your vacuum, such as the ability to shoot fire, water, or ice. Remember though, treasure is scattered everywhere. Check all the objects for coins and paper money, and who knows, you may just make enough money for Luigi to buy a mansion of his own...
As you explore the strange mansion, the plot slowly unravels and it becomes apparent that something more sinister is going on in that haunted house. Will you ever see your lost brother Mario again?1 point -

Throughout the course of the game, the player can unlock tons of rewards by completing missions in a set amount of time or performing outstanding stunts.

TimeSplitters: Future Perfect is a first-person shooter in which players battle their way through thirteen story missions spread across six time periods, either alone or cooperatively. But often the heroes will have to explore dungeons while piloting giant robots called "gears". Gear combat follows different rules: they are able to perform actions until they run out of fuel, therefore the player must concentrate on finishing the enemy quickly. Andy is a child who likes playing with his dog Whiskey, doesn't particularly enjoy going to school, and has a knack for inventing complicated gadgets. One day Andy and Whiskey are strolling through the park, when suddenly a solar eclipse darkens the sky, and after a moment Andy realizes that his dog has been taken away. But science can solve everything, and Andy heads to his treehouse, which is home to his outstanding inventions, including a spaceship! If you thought it was just a toy, you thought wrong, because Andy boards the ship and pilots it into the heart of the Darklands, a world controlled by the evil Master of Darkness. Andy takes out his gun (another splendid invention of his) and prepares to fight the evil sorcerer's minions. Nothing will stop the boy from rescuing his beloved dog!
Heart of Darkness is a cinematic 2D platformer designed by Eric Chahi, the creator of one of the genre's progenitors, Another World. Though the game has many fast and furious action sequences, including shooting hordes of dark creatures, it is built like a series of tasks, each requiring different approaches, from arcade-style shooting or jumping to interacting with the environment and solving puzzles. Like its spiritual predecessor, the game is linear; completing a section usually takes Andy to a different location, where another task awaits him.
Andy has several guns at his disposal, though in certain locations he will lose his weapons and will rely on the player's wit or quick reaction to survive. Andy will also gain magical energy, which can be used to grow or destroy trees. Similarly to Another World, many hazards are placed on the hero's path; despite the child-oriented premise, the game contains graphically explicit death scenes, which occur if the player is not careful or quick enough to save Andy from a gruesome demise.
Heart of Darkness features orchestral music and pre-rendered animated cutscenes. It comes with a pair of 3D glasses, which allow the player to view certain scenes in the game in 3D.1 point -

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (pronounced Kingdom Hearts Three-Five-Eight Days over Two) follows the story of Roxas during his time in Organization XIII. The game mainly consists of Roxas doing missions for the Organization by going to various worlds (such as Twilight Town, The Beast's Castle, Agrabah, etc.) to collect hearts by defeating the Heartless, gather intel, and collect Organization Emblems. The story will explain Roxas' origins from the moment of his creation at the end of Kingdom Hearts to the point when he is placed in the virtual Twilight Town before Kingdom Hearts II.
All missions are started in "The Grey Area", one of the Organization's Headquarters, in which Roxas can equip different "panels" to boost his level, gain new abilities and magic spells, or bring items to use on his missions. Munny (currency in Kingdom Hearts games) and Heart Points can be spent at the Moogle Shop to acquire more panels to equip in the panel grid.
All completed missions can be played again by using the holo-mission option in the menu. Some missions also unlock some challenge modes (in which you must complete the same mission under certain conditions such as jumping as few as possible, collecting more hearts or munny, or doing it really fast) and some can also be played in mission mode. The mission mode is accessed from the start menu and allows multiple player to collaborate and compete with each other. By ringing the four bells across the land, Klonoa can restore harmony, but the Sky Pirate Leorina is in hot pursuit, after Klonoa's magic ring...
Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil is a 3D side-scrolling platformer. The main goal of the game is to get to the end of each level (or 'Vision'), but there are also special goals to achieve. Firstly, each Vision contains six Momett Dolls hidden in each level. Secondly, there are Dream Stones scattered throughout each level - green ones are worth one, while blue ones are worth five. Certain puzzles also contain tricky use of the "Dream Spirit", which doubles the value of all collected Dream Stones. New to Klonoa 2 are hoverboard sections, which play at a faster, more action-oriented pace.
But what makes Klonoa unique is his abilities. Klonoa can shoot a 'wind bullet' into foes, which puffs them up and allows Klonoa to carry them. Klonoa can then launch them straight at foes, or jump with them, giving him an extra boost. If he needs extra length to his jump, holding the jump button will allow him to hover for a little longer, too. Different enemies have different effects - for example, certain foes have propellers on their heads and will rocket you into the sky, while others will act like time bombs and explode after a short while.1 point -

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is an enhanced HD remake of Odin Sphere game for PlayStation 2. Many various adjustments and changes were made in gameplay, considering comments from people who played the original game. While this is enhanced version of the original and it's trying to stay true to it, there are new gameplay and story elements presented in this release, some of which include new boss fights, new attack moves, new background music, and new map area to explore. Ivan Ironman Stewart's Super Off-Road
playmo66 reacted to RomStation for a game
In his never ending quest for adventure and excitement, man invented off-road racing. These races were then brought before the masses by converting huge sports stadiums into dirt and mud obstacle courses in which off-road 'Ironmen' battled for top honors.
Now THE LELAND CORPORATION brings this fast moving, hard driving sport to the video game arena.
Ivan IRONMAN Stewart's SUPER OFF-ROAD is stadium off-road racing at it's best. One to three players are asked to test their dirt track skills against the best dirt truck driver in the world.
Contestants compete on 8 different tracks with a total of 16 configurations and these courses are packed with enough jumps, bumps, hills, and holes to challenge even the most skillful driver.
Winning drivers earn 'cash' prizes, and use this 'cash' to 'buff out' their machines. At the end of each race, players take their trucks to the 'Speed Shop' to buy better shocks, tires, engines, and higher top speed. They can also buy nitro packs to help them blast over the jumps and through the mud.
The 'Convert-a-Credit' feature allows drivers to add to their winnings by using credits as 'cash'. Each additional quarter, when converted, becomes $200,000.00 in game 'cash' and this additional 'cash' may be used for purchases in the 'Speed Shop'.1 point -

Dark Sun: Shattered Lands
Witchytek reacted to RomStation for a game
Dark Sun: Shattered Lands is an AD&D game based off of the Dark Sun campaign pack from TSR. In the beginning of the game, the player controls a party of gladiators. It opens up with a fight with a multitude of monsters in an arena. After the battle the party are sent back to the slave pens to wait for their next match. They talk to some of the other gladiators in the slave pens and escape (if they can) to help the free villages established by other escaped slaves. Eventually they must fight back against the totalitarian city-state of Draj and the large army they will soon send to wipe out all of the slave villages.
The game has a mouse interface and is basically point and click to move around, equip the party, talk to people, pick up things, etc. The gameplay is faithful to AD&D's rules in most cases.1 point -
SimCity Enhanced
Guibru reacted to TompouceGabriel for a game
In 1993, CD-rom became more popular and Maxis created an enhanced version of SimCity for it. In this version, the graphics were improved a bit, but the most important feature was the full-motion video. Hollywood actors played the roles of SimCity officials like the Newscaster, Police Chief, Fire Chief etc. With every event, like a disaster, money shortage, high crime etc. a video popped up with an actor explaining what was going on.1 point -
