  1. Burnout 3: Takedown is a racing game which encourages aggressive driving and lets you use your vehicle to smash your way to the finish line by taking out your rivals and causing massive multi-car pileups. The more cars you take out, damage you inflict, the more events and cars you can unlock. Burnout 3 also has a "crash" mode which puts your vehicle at a variety of traffic junctions jam-packed with moving vehicles and pickups to see just how much monetary damage you can inflict.

Burnout 3: Takedown continues the racing series with more cars, more tracks, a more detailed crash engine, and a multitude of new gameplay modes for single players, multiple players on one system, and online play.

    Some features include:

Crash Mode: In addition to this gameplay element introduced in Burnout 2, Pick-ups have been added. They are scattered throughout the intersections. Some pick-ups will halve, double or quadruple your score, cause massive explosions to cause even more damage, or increase your damage with monetary bonuses.

Sophisticated crash technology allows for high-speed crashes with extreme detail. Use your vehicle as a weapon and takedown rivals, using the new Aftertouch feature to control your vehicle after the moment of impact.

9 Race Modes including Single Race, Tournament, Lap Eliminator, Burning Lap and Road Rage.

Multiplayer Modes include Quick Line, Battle Race, Road Rage, and Party Crash, where 2-16 players participate in a pass-the-controller match-up.

7 Online Modes allow you to race online with up to 6 players. Battle through oncoming traffic in Crash Mode, Single Race, Road Rage, and more.

Over 70 Vehicles in 12 different classes including European exotics, American muscle cars, mid-size sedans, sports cars, compacts, buses and semi trucks.

Over 40 Tracks spanning 3 continents. Take on opponents across a broad range of environments, and experience dozens of traffic-filled crash junctions.

  2. It is the 15th century, the time of the Hundred Years' War between England and France. A young French girl from the village of Domremy trying to assist her father with his daily labors discovers a mysterious object: an armlet that binds magically on her wrist. Soon the village is being attacked and finding the first sword she can, she steps forth to encounter the enemy, some humanoid beasts. Taking strength from the armlet, hearing a mysterious voice and having for assistance her close friends, she manages to defeat them and embarks on a long quest to help her countrymen and vanquish the evil forces invading France.

Jeanne d'Arc is a turn-based strategy RPG game of the Japanese variety, that fuses medieval history with fantasy and the craziness of Japanese anime. This is a well known story retold through tactical battles one after another, while game dialog along with hand drawn cutscenes twist the story into different territories from the original.

It is a story of teen friendship and dedication, remorseless war, evil magic, unavoidable death, heartache abandonment and purifying hope. Jeanne joins the army and along with 14 other companions with different skills and personalities march to face England's Henry VI's troops. With her are other armlet wielders, able to use them and transform into fearsome warriors able to strike down evil at its core. The game features a map to move through locations where the battles which push the story forward happen along with free stages that add nothing more than fun, strong items and difficult bosses.

  3. Kratos makes his first appearance on a portable platform in the third title in the God of War series. Chains of Olympus is a prequel set ten years before the original God of War. Gameplay is similar to the predecessors but with some minor changes. Kratos goes through levels killing enemies and bosses, solving box-based puzzles and doing quick time events. He also collects red orbs to power up his weapons and abilities, Gorgon eyeballs to increase his health and Phoenix feathers to increase his magic power.

The game's controls were adjusted to fit the PSP's reduced amount of buttons. Both the shoulder buttons and the analog stick are now required in order to dodge. The most well-known God of War weapon, the Blades of Chaos, are also present. There are several new weapons and magic spells available, including Sun Shield, Efreet spell and Light of Dawn. The game starts when the Gods send Kratos to the city of Attica to defend it from the invading Persian army. But later when Morpheus strikes, Kratos will need to use all his power to save the world once again.

The game features combat, environmental puzzles, and quick time events, and the player's abilities can be enhanced through relics and by collecting souls. 7. Dr. Doom has united supervillains as the Masters of Evil. Now for the first time ever, over 20 Marvel superheroes including Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade and Silver Surfer have come together to stop Doom. Mix and match your choice of Marvel superheroes, in teams of four as you travel across the Marvel Universe to stop this threat. Certain teams such as The Fantastic Four and The New Avengers provide additional bonuses.

Some heroes must be unlocked first. The game also features RPG elements, such as leveling up. When a hero gains a level, they earn points you can use to upgrade their skills. You also collect Shield Coins, which can be spent on boosts for your hero team.

You explore various legendary Marvel locales, from Asgard, to Prince Namor's Atlantis, where you take on foes with punches, kicks and super powers. Super powers drain energy, however, so use them wisely. Combos can be achieved by combining super powers. Energy is restored by collecting blue orbs from fallen foes.

Boss battles are like the comics themselves: titanic battles that often not only test brawn but your brain as well. With over 20 playable heroes plus all the cameos, there are over 100 heroes and villains.

  9. Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul is a 3D one-on-one fighting game based on the Saint Seiya manga series. There are 48 characters in the game, with different types of skins, and 39 of those were previously part of the 2013 title Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers. There are two story modes. One is called Legend of Cosmo and follows the story from the 12 Houses arc to the Hades arc. The other one is called Battle of Gold. This mode contains twelve Gold Saints each with their own story segment and match-ups that are entirely new for the series.

In the free battle mode any unlocked character can be selected. Fighting is done in an environment with full 3D movement. Each character has basic moves and specials based on a Cosmo Gauge. Compared to Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers Cosmos recharges faster now and there are no longer bars. Instead there is now a Seven Sense Awakening bar to access the Seventh Sense mode when it is full. That is now the way to perform Big Bang Attacks, which were previously part of the Cosmo mechanic. Photon is a new type of projectile available for all characters.

The orb system is still present with a new feature called Assist Phrase for a boost when a specific requirement is met. The Cosmic K.O. is a new type of finisher.

  12. Electronic Arts' first game based on the Lord of the Rings movies is an action game with classic beat'em up-style gameplay. Despite the title, it covers events from both the first and the second film in the trilogy.

Players, choosing to control Aragorn, Legolas or Gimli, must battle the evil forces of the Dark Lord Sauron in order to protect the Ring of Power and restore peace to Middle-earth.

The player character moves through the levels, fighting hordes of Orcs, Goblins and other creatures with various attack and parrying moves. The more varied the attacks are and the less the player is hit, the more points are awarded for each kill. At the end of each level, kill points are accumulated and can be used to gain new abilities. Most of these are new attack moves, unleashed through various button combinations. Others increase health or upgrade the strength or speed of existing attacks. Each of the three characters has unique upgrades and moves.

Several levels feature boss battles with the likes of the Watcher of Moria or Lurtz, leader of the Uruk-hai. Each boss requires a unique strategy to defeat.

Most combat scenes from the movies have been turned into levels for the game: from the confrontation with the Ringwraiths at the Weathertop and the battle in the Mines of Moria from the first film to fights with Warg-riders and other enemies on the plains of Rohan from the second film. The game culminates in the defense of Helm's Deep, even though the depiction of the battle in the game differs considerably from that in the film.

Between the levels, cutscenes tell the story. These scenes combine actual film footage with footage rendered with the game engine.

The game offers lots of bonus content, some of which must be unlocked by completing missions or reaching certain levels with the characters. Featured are interviews with the filmmakers and actors (who also provide voices for the game) as well as various making-of features.

  13. Ratchet: Deadlocked is the fourth game in the Ratchet & Clank series by Insomniac Games. The storyline involves Ratchet and Clank, along with Al, being kidnapped and forced to compete in a underground reality show called "DreadZone" run by the media mogul Gleeman Vox on the outer fringes of the galaxy.

The game differs from its predecessors in that it focuses more on shooting than platforming and puzzle elements. The game allows you to use two bots to fight along side you, which can be upgraded over time with better weapons and firepower. There is a total of 10 weapons in the game, significantly less than the other games. However, modding these weapons is more emphasized than before, with different kinds of Alpha and Omega mods. Omega mods can be used on any weapon, and range from the freeze mod to the magma mod. Alpha mods are weapon-specific, and increase the rate of fire, ammo capacity, and power. The game also features online multiplayer.

Clank is not a playable character in this game, although he gives advice to Ratchet over his communication link.

  14. You are an undercover driver, trying to survive amidst an international war between American and Brazilian gangs. The action takes you to Chicago, Las Vegas, Rio and Havana, all of which are depicted in detail. There are several improvements over the first game. The cities now also have curved roads instead of just all right angles, in some missions you can exit your vehicle and move around on foot, and there is a multi-player game mode.

As before, you have full control over the car as it storms around the streets. The new ability to get out of the car and carjack other cars is especially useful when you have fallen victim to the advanced damage modeling.

There is a full sequence of 37 missions to complete spread out over the four city locations, as well as some pre-set challenges and a Free Driving mode allowing you to explore at your leisure. The new multi-player split screen feature includes four game modes: take a ride, cops'n'robbers, checkpoint and capture the flag.

  15. In a combination of a horror game and light-gun game, Resident Evil: Dead Aim puts you on a cruise ship infested with zombies. You start off as Bruce McGivern, a US government agent sent to stop Morpheus D. Duvall from spreading the zombie T-virus any further. Along the way you'll run into Fongling, a Chinese government agent who is aboard the cruise ship for the same reason, and you'll also end up playing as her. All you really need to know is that there are zombies and you have to kill them.

You'll pick up several different guns through the course of the game, including a magnum, a shotgun, and an assault rifle, but like in other Resident Evil games, zombies are difficult to put down permanently, and ammo can be very scarce.

Amped 2 is the sequel to Microsoft's first snowboarding game, Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding. The mountains are larger, there are more goals to accomplish, and there is more diversity to the graphics. Many real snowboarding tricks are including, from Indy's and Mute's to Stalefish's and Tailgrabs. The career mode has you starting out as a level 250 nobody. It's your job to rise the ranks and fight your way to number one in the world. Challenges consist of beating a high score, beating media challenges, performing certain tricks in one run, finding and clearing all the gaps, and knocking down eight snowmen, who taunt you and laugh at you. When you're done with the normal goals, and your player is high enough, you can attempt Sponsor Goals and Photo Shoots, to earn new equipment and further unlock the mountain. Some sponsors may like rails, so you'll have to use just rails to impress them. The photo shoot has you performing tricks to get a set score while going through various rings on a set area of the mountain.

Once you're finished with single player, you can go online via Xbox Live to play with other people. Your stats will be tracked and you can view your ranking, other player rankings, and where you stand at XSNSports.com. Compete in races, stunt events, or just cruise the mountain.

    Rayman Legends

Rayman Legends is a 2D platform game and a sequel to Rayman Origins. After the events of the previous game Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies went to a century-long sleep. During that time new nightmares have appeared in the world and the Magician (who was defeated in Rayman Origins) has been split into five dark teensies. These nightmares and dark teensies have captured the princesses of the land (including a new playable character Barbara) and other teensies. Naturally, Rayman and his friends are awoken once again to right the wrongs.

Rayman Legends retains the graphical style and most gameplay elements of Rayman Origins. Up to four players can simultaneously progress through side-scrolling levels defeating enemies and collecting Lums. On each level, there is a number of teensies to rescue and that opens up new levels and worlds. All the powers from the previous game (wall-running, air gliding, etc.) are available to the characters from the start, but some new gimmicks are added, for example, the ability to fire projectiles on some levels. Murfy the greenbottle appears on some levels to aid the players. With a press of a button, he operates machinery, pokes bigger enemies, and opens up passages for the characters. In some versions of the game, the fifth player can control Murphy's movement.

The game includes regular side-scrolling levels, "invaded" versions of levels that need to be completed as quickly as possible and rhythm-based levels with a soundtrack consisting of humorous covers of popular songs. In addition, forty remastered levels from Rayman Origins can be unlocked by collecting Lucky tickets. The game offers daily and weekly challenges and a local multiplayer soccer mini-game titled Kung Foot.

  24. Tired of playing Super Mario 64 Multiplayer? Want to play its successor in open world style, Super Mario Sunshine, with two players? This Rom Hack is for you! And even thanks to Dolphin's capabilities, you will be able to play online with your friend via Netplay, isn't that nice?

Super Mario Sunshine Multiplayer as its name suggests is a multiplayer hack where the first player plays Mario, then the second one plays Anti-Mario. That being said, it seems strange to be able to play as Anti Mario as a second player, knowing that the troublemaker of Mario's vacation is none other than Anti-Mario himself.
Work cooperatively with Anti-Mario who has the ability to lift Mario and throw him. Sure, he doesn't have a second F.L.U.D.D. but he can spin around and splash water in the corners. He also has a life bar.

The game is set in North Korea, where an evil general is diverting all the humanitarian aid to boost his forces and gain more political power in the process, and it's up to the Ghosts to eliminate this threat.

There is also multiplayer modes both on- and offline. Giga Wing 2

There are four characters to choose from, each with his own storyline and fighter/spaceship. Each ship has its own weapon type and speed.

Like the previous Giga Wing and Mars Matrix games, gameplay is designed around bullet absorption/reflection mechanics, large numbers of enemies, and giant boss fights. Giga Wing 2 adds the ability to choose from two different bullet reflection powers: reflect force and reflect laser. The reflect force repulses enemy shots, while the reflect laser uses them to charge up a beam weapon.

  31. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows has both similarities and differences compared to previous Spider-Man games. It starts with Spider-Man gaining symbiote powers from a fight with Venom. With the help of Luke Cage, he trains to battle city gangs. The city falls into chaos as the symbiote spreads, controlling people. Spider-Man embarks on a mission to save New York.

Swinging through the city, Spider-Man fights bad guys using red or black suits, each with unique abilities. Your choice of suit doesn't affect the game's outcome, but moral decisions do. These choices shape the story and lead to different endings. Earning points upgrades Spider-Man's moves.

    Twisted Metal

Every year, a mysterious man named Calypso sends e-mails to renowned drivers, inviting them to compete in a tournament called Twisted Metal. The conditions of the tournament are anything but ordinary: opponents fight each other in armored vehicles with mounted weapons. The winner receives an audience with Calypso, and is granted a single wish - a wish without limits, be it money, power, or even our reality itself. In 2005, the annual tournament is held again in Los Angeles, and twelve drivers, each with his own agenda, have come to compete to death.

Twisted Metal is a vehicular combat game. The player selects one of the twelve available drivers and takes part in the competition. In the one-player story mode, the player must progress through six combat stages; all the opponents must be destroyed in order to win the race. In the two-player co-op mode, players choose a battlefield and control two cars in an attempt to get rid of the competition.

All the vehicles are equipped with two mounted machine guns; though relatively weak, they have unlimited ammunition. Other weapons can be picked up by driving over them during the races. These include fire and homing missiles, land mines, tire spikes, and others. Each participant has a life bar, which can be replenished by entering a specific area on the stage.

Asuka 120% Limited doesn't add any new systems to the series, instead focusing on changing and tweaking moves to better balance the fighters. Character sprites are larger in comparison to the previous PlayStation entry, but like most SEGA Saturn games true transparencies were removed. The story mode is a standard linear fight to fight affair with text dialog in between matches. Versus mode includes options for Player vs CPU, Player vs Player, and exhibition CPU vs CPU. The final game mode is a survival mode where the player fights each character in turn, and health is restored based upon their score during the fight.

    Driver

As Tanner, you're going undercover to be the wheelman for a crime syndicate in order to break open a big case. On the way, you'll eliminate competition, drive getaway cars, scare some people silly, evade plenty of police, dodge bad guys, smash through a few windows, save your love interest, and much more through four cities (Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York).

Perform authentic manuevers like donuts, 180 spin, 360 spin, reverse 180 spin, and more as you cut through alley ways, across sidewalks and parks, smash park benches and and drive over traffic cones. Many different cars to try (most you'll recognize). Will you save the day?

Also includes pratice modes such as Practice, Carnage (cause as much damage as you can), Dirt Track (time trials), Pursuit (you chase someone), Survival (4 super cops chase you), Lose the Cop (avoid that one cop on your back), and Drive About (just drive about the city and admire the scenery).

Game also includes a full director's mode, allowing you to place cameras to catch the best moments in the custom replay file.

  38. Rayman's world has been invaded by an army of crazed Rabbids! They've got their sights set on the world, and with Rayman the only one who could possibly stop them, he is quickly captured. Now, Rayman is the Rabbids' toy, made to perform bizarre tasks for their amusement. Escape the arena, and stop the Rabbids!

The DS version of Rayman Raving Rabbids is a hybrid of the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo Wii versions of the game. As Rayman, you must make your way through different Arenas. The Arenas give you three types of play modes. The first is a standard side-scrolling platformer, where you must collect lums and defeat enemies to reach the exit. You also gain special abilities and suits in these levels which help you access new areas and path branches in the levels.

The second is a stylus-controlled platformer. Rayman is continuously running, and you must remove obstacles with different stylus commands. Different suits have different commands, so later levels have you swapping between multiple suits as you make your way through the level. The third is an assortment of mini-games. These can range from making a jigsaw puzzle to matching pictures on a slot machine to a memory match game to feeding Rabbids pies, just to name a few.

Rayman's main goal is to earn trophies - these unlock new levels and other things. Each level has a golden lum, which increases the amount of lums that Rayman can carry. Most defeated enemies also drop stars - as you collect these, your level up meter will fill. When it's full, Rayman's health will increase, and the level up meter will empty so that you can fill it again.

    Contact

Contact is a role-playing video game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It was published by Marvelous Entertainment in Japan on March 30, 2006, by Atlus USA in North America on October 19, 2006, and by Rising Star Games in Australia, Asia and Europe on January 25, 2007 and February 2, 2007 respectively.

The story begins as a scientist, known as the Professor, flees through space from a mysterious enemy known only as the "CosmoNOTs" (Cosmic Nihilist Organization for Terror). He crash lands on a strange planet, losing the "cells" that power his ship. Without power, he is stranded. He enlists the help of Terry, a young boy. Terry agrees to help the Professor by exploring the planet and locating the cells. Helping the Professor is the only way that Terry will be able to get home, but the Klaxon Army are tracking them down, the cells are hidden in some dangerous areas and, as the game progresses, the Professor's intentions are slowly thrown deeper and deeper into question.

The player is included in the story-line as a separate character from Terry, and the game's characters recognize the player as "controlling" Terry using the DS, breaking the fourth wall, and assisting him through the use of 'decals' - sticker-like items that apply specific, often powerful effects. Throughout the game, the Professor will talk directly to the player to give hints on how to use the controls and to voice his concerns about Terry. The Professor is eager to keep the player's existence and their role in Terry's life a secret from the boy

    Soccer

Soccer lets the player choose from 24 National teams including the U.S., England, France, Brazil among others, in a chance to play in the World Cup tournament and win the coveted trophy. Players can also choose to play in a Knockout-style tournament where instead of a round robin type of play like in World Cup, they instead play one game and advance to the next like a regular tournament. There is also a two-player mode that allows friends to compete head-to-head.

The main gameplay is the same as others with an overhead view with a third-person perspective for penalty kicks. The rules and regulations are up to date and can actually be changed to suit the players style of choice. They can also choose weather conditions, skills of goalies or even the choice to play either indoors or outdoors. Players can also edit their players including appearance and stats wise to suit their liking.

    Elemental Master

Elemental Master's gameplay is similar to a top-down space shooter (i.e Raptor & Raiden), but what makes it unique is the fact you play as a human instead of space-ship.

There are different kinds of weapons which you can use. Like other games in the genre you also have tons of strange enemies to destroy.

  45. Mega Man X teams up with Zero in a traditional console RPG. The game was developed by the same people who did Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. Unlike most RPGs the storyline is very similar to the traditional side-scrolling Mega Man games. In addition, the game is shorter than most RPGs. The basic plot of the game is to save Giga City from the rioting of the Liberion Army. As the game progresses you have around 7 members. With a metal called Force Metal, your characters can upgrade various elements. The Gamecube version lets you link up to Game Boy Advance so you can use the GBA as a treasure hunter locater. The PS2 version contains a Mega Man X8 Demo.

    Whirl Tour

During a concert of band "Flipside" you're a roadie of, a portal to a new dimension opens and sucks the band in. Being the ever-loyal roadie, you grab your trusty scooter and set off to free them.

Throughout many levels, you will now have to defeat monsters - using a wide array of tricks and stunts with your scooter. As you progress, you'll learn more tricks and gain access to different scooters.

An extreme sport game with many nods towards Tony Hawk, however in a jolly cartoony setting.

  50. Azumanga Daioh Advance is a puzzle game released for the Gameboy Advance hand held system on April 25th, 2003. It was published and developed by King Records. Azumanga Daioh Advance was a Japan only release and was never planned to be sold over seas.

Azumanga Daioh Advance can be seen as a kind of card game. The cards are given out in increments of five. These cards have stars on them and each card number has a certain number of these stars. The aim is to put as many stars as possible, shown on the cards in your hand, to connect together to form a combo or 'link'. The higher the combo you achieve, the more points you will achieve against your opponent, thus depleting their health bar. The games are short and can last for around 5 turns, with each turn going for close to fifteen seconds.
