    Asura's Wrath

Once a revered deity, Asura was betrayed by his fellow gods and stripped of all his powers. Consumed by anger at the injustice he has suffered and swearing vengeance, Asura discovers he can use this fury to his advantage and turn it against his enemies. By channelling his inner rage, Asura is now able to unleash devastating attacks and wreak havoc as he battles against the deities who have wronged him and their earthly forces. Inspired by episodic dramas, Asura's Wrath will be split into distinct sections with gameplay and narrative unfolding as one and building to a final climatic conclusion.

  2. In Monsters: Joker, you play an aspiring monster tournament competitor. The goal is to recruit and train a team of monsters powerful enough to win the Monster Tournament of the Granpool Archipelago.

The game uses the same combat engine as Dragon Quest VIII, turn-based where commands are issued, and then the game shows the results in 3D.

There are many monsters spread over 8 families so it is up to the player to find a combination that takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of the monsters. The player's character also doesn't fight directly in the battles, but aids the monster team with potions and other power ups.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is also used to fight a battle vs AI opponents ranked similar to the players monsters, however this can only be done once per day so the daily rewards aren't over collected.

    Drakengard 3

In earlier times, the world was ravaged by endless war and conflict. The fighting only ceased when five sisters with godlike powers used their song magic to defeat the warlords and bring peace throughout the lands. These Intoners now rule over various parts of the world, where they are adored and worshipped by their subjects. However, there is a sixth and eldest sister, Zero, who wishes to kill her siblings and take their power for herself. One year after failing to defeat the other Intoners, Zero sets out with her dragon Mikhail to kill them one by one.

Taking place about a century prior to the first Drakengard, this game puts the player in the role of Zero, who can be accompanied by up to two AI characters who join over the course of the story. Gameplay is largely similar to other entries in the series, comprised of hack-and-slash fighting on the ground and aerial combat in which Zero rides Mikhail. Performing combos fills up Zero's Tension Gauge, which she can tap into to unleash her Intoner powers. In Intoner Mode, Zero's speed and attack power increase, and she becomes invulnerable to enemy attacks. Zero can use four different types of weapons: swords, bracers, chakrams, and spears, and each individual weapon can be leveled up the more it is used in combat.

  6. Need for Speed: Underground 2 is a street-racing game with single-player and multiplayer modes set in the nighttime tuner scene. After proving yourself in early races, you enter Metro City, an open world where you can freely roam, discover events, and challenge rivals.

Your goal is to climb the Underground Racing League by winning races, earning reputation, and upgrading your car. Events include Sprint, Circuit, Drag and Drift, each rewarding cash used for performance parts and visual customization. You gradually boost your car’s stats—acceleration, top speed and handling—to take on tougher opponents.

A standout feature is the deep tuning system, offering hundreds of performance and cosmetic upgrades, from engine parts to body kits, paint and neon. Cars can be transformed from basic models into top-tier machines. Multiplayer supports online or split-screen racing (up to eight players), with extras like replays.

Metro’s sandbox also includes Outrun free-roam challenges, optional time trials, drift events and hidden collectibles.

  7. Tasked with protecting a village, the player character along with other angels (celestials) are attempting to reach God's land. By helping and protecting his town and earning their thanks, the main character obtains enough benevolence for the World Tree to produce the Goddess Fruit. This fruit is the only sure way to enter God's land. Things don't go according to plan, taking the player into the adventure proper.

Dragon Quest IX marks a number of firsts for the series: it is the first title to be initially launched for a handheld system and to have no real random encounters (unless travelling over sea). Instead the player can see the enemies on the map. Even though the game isn't the first main series title in 3D, for the first time all equipable items are visible on the characters models at all times.

Furthermore, the game was created with the intent of having a multiplayer focus: players can bring their adventurers into their friends' worlds via wireless connection to play alongside them and even swap copies of their heroes which may bring special items like treasure maps with them. There's also downloadable content available through Wi Fi, like new items and quests.

Similar to previous titles, combat is turn-based, where the player selects tasks for each of the characters: attack, use item, cast a spell etc. Like in Dragon Quest III, all party members are created by the player; unlike the hero, they don't fulfil specific roles in the narrative and may be swapped at a special service available at inns.

  8. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows has both similarities and differences compared to previous Spider-Man games. It starts with Spider-Man gaining symbiote powers from a fight with Venom. With the help of Luke Cage, he trains to battle city gangs. The city falls into chaos as the symbiote spreads, controlling people. Spider-Man embarks on a mission to save New York.

Swinging through the city, Spider-Man fights bad guys using red or black suits, each with unique abilities. Your choice of suit doesn't affect the game's outcome, but moral decisions do. These choices shape the story and lead to different endings. Earning points upgrades Spider-Man's moves.

  9. The King and the Prince of Persia are besieging the Maharajah's castle to plunder the treasures hidden inside. In order to impress his father, the Prince sneaks inside to recover the magical Dagger of Time. He quickly learns that this dagger has the ability to control time. The malevolent Vizier has other plans for the dagger, however, and tricks the Prince into unlocking a mysterious secret of the Dagger that causes the King and many of his subjects to be turned into sand zombies. Now, the Prince must figure out what has happened and try to set things right again.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is an action game with platforming and puzzle-solving elements. It updates many of the gameplay concepts from the previous games, and brings them into a fully three-dimensional world. The Prince will engage in sword fighting, wall climbing, spike dodging, puzzle solving, and more in his quest. The Prince also carries the Dagger of Time, which allows him to unleash several magical powers. The most important of these powers is the ability to reverse time. This ability allows the player to reverse their actions when they lead the Prince to his death.

    Guilty Gear Isuka

The next installment in the Guilty Gear sci-fi fighting series, in which bio weapons called Gears fight among each other for ultimate supremacy and survival, as they escape the so called Holy Knights who aim to hunt down and destroy them.

As with previous games in the series the game involves tournament-styled battles between characters using their special abilities and moves. However for GG Isuka the battles are 2-on-2 instead of 1-on-1, taking place in multi-plane arenas (similar to Fatal Fury) and requiring the players to switch orientation manually.

Added features include two new characters (only one playable), new backgrounds and game modes including the new "Boost" mode, which turns the game into a 2D side scrolling beat 'em up.

    Metal Gear Solid

Metal Gear Solid is a sequel to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. After the tragic confrontation with Big Boss, the hero, special agent Solid Snake, decided to retire and has since then lived in a secluded region in Alaska. But the US government recruits him once again for a dangerous mission. The members of Foxhound, a renegade special forces unit, threaten to use a devastating nuclear weapon if the government doesn't hand them the mortal remains of Big Boss, their former commander. Foxhound is now led by a talented, ambitious young man with the codename Liquid Snake. Knowing that the visual resemblance between this new terrorist mastermind and himself can not be coincidental, Solid Snake agrees to infiltrate the new Foxhound base, destroy the unknown nuclear weapon, and find the truth about his own identity.

The gameplay in Metal Gear Solid follows the prototype established in the two earlier Metal Gear games. Solid Snake has a limited arsenal of weapons and cannot allow himself to pave his way to the goal by killing all the enemies. He has to stay unnoticed, hide, crawl, wait for the right moment, sneak, and use various gadgets that will prevent him from alerting the enemy. Boss battles and some other sequences are played out as action-oriented set pieces, with the player having to figure out the weakness of the enemy in order to succeed.

The game utilizes traditional top-down view, but the graphics in this installment are real 3D. Conversations with Snake's allies and cutscenes are used extensively to advance the plot and gain more insight into it.

    Undercover Cops

2043. Dr. Clayborn and his army have gained control of New York and Commissioner Gordon made one last plea for help and called three of the finest city sweepers: Matt, an ex-professional football player; Rosa, a former female vigilante and Miss America pageant; and Zan, an ex-karate master and a retired philosophy teacher. They must fight every lackey and vanquish Dr. Clayborn in order to restore law and order to the city.

Go through the game's five stages, defeating enemies along the way and destroying the end-of-level boss before proceeding to the next stage. Along the way, weapons such as fish, rocks, i-beams, cars, and more can be used.

  14. Even though Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine were able to destroy the Umbrella corporation's undead monsters in the original Biohazard, Umbrella's experiments with the T-virus continued unhindered. Claire Redfield, the younger sister of Chris, and Leon Kennedy, a rookie cop on his first day of the job, arrive in the sleepy midwestern town of Raccoon City only to find the city in flaming ruins due to the inhabitants having been transformed into mindless flesh-eating freaks. Although Claire and Leon team up, they are soon separated and trapped inside the city by a car crash. Seeking refuge within the Raccoon City police station, each character must find a way to escape from the nightmare while solving the mystery of what happened to Raccoon City.

Besides the zombie population (which is much more diverse than the original, including teenage girl zombies, maniac cop zombies, and even melting naked zombies), Claire and Leon will also have to deal with a variety of freakish mutants including giant poisonous spiders, walking venus-fly-traps, and speedy wall-crawling Lickers. Each character will also be pursued by one seemingly unstoppable foe: a horrific and constantly evolving man-monster known as the "G-Type" (Leon's Scenario) , or a taciturn but inhumanly powerful Umbrella agent who is nonetheless saddled with the rather quaint name of Mr. X (Claire's Scenario).

Like the previous game in the series, Biohazard 2 is a 3D action-adventure using three-dimensional polygon characters over two-dimensional pre-rendered backgrounds, with the action viewed through a variety of cinematic fixed camera angles in each room. Just like the original Resident Evil, players can choose to play as one of two possible characters. Each character goes through the same initial scenario, but with differences in the type of weaponry they find and the people they meet along the way. Leon will team up with a mysterious woman calling herself Ada Wong, while Claire will find herself charged with protecting a little girl named Sherry Birkin.

Unlike the original Biohazard beating the game for the first time unlocks a second scenario to be played with the character you didn't choose, with new locations, maps, enemies, a longer and more climactic ending. Your actions in the first scenario can also affect the outcome of certain events in the second scenario. Additionally ammo and healing items are more plentiful than in the original game, although you still aren't given enough bullets to kill every enemy you meet.

  18. A follow up to the Dreamcast title Jet Grind Radio. The setting is Tokyo in the year 2024. Freedom is a valuable commodity and freedom of expression even more so. Gangs of misbehaving teens strap on rocket-powered roller blades and skate, grind, and mark their territory with graffiti tags.

Players take the role of the GGs, and can choose between any member of the gang, each with different stats, while in gang HQ. The city of Tokyo can be leisurely explored without a time limit, but the heat will be turned up when story missions are activated and the GGs find themselves being challenged by rival gangs or under attack from the cops. This time around spraying no longer requires thumbstick inputs; just roll up and start spraying away, although large tags still require more cans than smaller tags. Each section of the city has hidden objectives that are revealed by finding a hidden tape, and once completed these challenges will unlock new graffiti patterns.

In multiplayer modes players can challenge each other to races, point battles, and other competitions both in zones from the single player game as well as in special arenas.

  20. The court jester Dhoulmagus of the kingdom of Trodain stole a powerful magical scepter sealed beneath the royal castle. Using the power of the scepter, Dhoulmagus destroyed the castle, placed a curse upon the kingdom and its people, and turned King Trode into a troll and the princess into a horse. A sole surviving castle guard journeys with the king, the princess, a reformed bandit named Yangus and a few other companions in search of the evil jester and a way to break the curse.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is a traditional Japanese-style role-playing game with random enemy encounters, simple turn-based combat mechanics, and management of a party consisting of four characters, each belonging to a clearly defined class. Unlike its predecessors in the series and most Japanese RPGs in general, the game features a continuous world with fairly vast landscapes and integrated towns and dungeons, as opposed to world map traveling and locations represented by icons. The game features full camera rotation and optional first-person view. Like in the previous Dragon Quest games, many objects can be interacted with; for example, barrels can be physically lifted, carried, and broken, to reveal items hidden within.

In addition to experience points, the player receives skill points from battles, which can be manually allocated into a skill category of the player's choice. These categories include three different kinds of weapons, fisticuffs, and a discipline unique to each character. After a required amount of skill points has been invested into a particular category, the correspondent character learns a new ability or becomes more proficient with the chosen weapon. The Alchemy Pot system allows players to gather recipes and mix items to create new ones.

The international version of the game features several updates to the original Japanese version, including voice acting, graphic menu, symphonic soundtracks, and flashier effects.

  22. Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi is a game based on the manga and anime franchise Dragon Ball Z, and it is the fourth installment of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The game is a 3D fighter that features various characters from the Dragon Ball Z franchise. Players can select from among 28 characters or create their own custom character to fight against the AI, or with another player locally or online.

Most of the battles are standard one-on-one fights, but there are some special boss fights that feature giant characters like Great Ape Vegeta and Janemba. The Hero mode is similar to the Story mode in gameplay, but it features a new story centered around the player's custom character. Project Zero

Miku Hinasaki is a young girl with a strange sixth sense. Her brother, Mafuyu, and his mentor, Junsei Takamine, went to investigate a mansion that once was inhabited by a powerful landowner who had absolute control over the area. Unfortunately, they never returned from their investigation. Miku enters the mansion, armed with only an antique camera given to her by her deceased mother, to try to find her brother.

While inside the mansion, Miku will encounter ghosts and other spiritual apparitions. In order to overcome these spirits and survive, she must use the magical camera to capture the ghosts on film, thereby trapping them forever. Ghosts range from invisible fragments hidden in scenery, to memories of the past that appear only for a moment before vanishing, to full body apparitions that will attempt to attack and kill Miku.

In order to defeat an aggressive ghost the Camera Obscura's shot must first be "charged" by keeping the ghost centered while it is visible. If Miku snaps a shot while the ghost is attacking or is vulnerable then she will drain even more energy from it, resulting in more spirit points being earned. Points can then be spent to improve her camera's attributes or give it special abilities, like slowing a ghost or pushing it away. The Camera Obscura can also reveal clues and dispel illusions, which Miku will need to utilize to solve puzzles within the mansion.

  26. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a crossover fighting game featuring characters from various PlayStation titles and some third-party games, akin to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series. Up to four characters battle in side-view 3D arenas. Matches are not won by depleting health but by collecting orbs to fill a power meter, enabling the execution of super moves to defeat opponents and score points.

Game modes include a single-player arcade mode with a final rival battle and a showdown against Polygon Man, Sony's former mascot. There's also a challenge mode with specific objectives. Multiplayer modes offer time-limit matches, stock-based matches (last player standing), and kill limit matches. Cross-platform play between PS3 and Vita is supported, with a free Vita version available via cross-buy.

Each character has unique moves, throws, and special actions. Stages are themed around popular franchises, featuring dynamic environmental elements that affect gameplay. Offensive items can be picked up, and additional costumes can be unlocked for characters.

  29. Super Mario Land, the plumber's first outing on the Game Boy, is a side-scrolling platformer much in the vein of the previous Super Mario Bros. This time, Mario must save Princess Daisy, rather than Princess Toadstool, from her kidnapper, Tatanga, a mysterious spaceman.

The game follows largely the same formula of its aforementioned predecessor, with Mario defeating enemies by jumping on them and collecting coins and power ups by hitting floating blocks, with each world leading up to a boss fight which is defeated using by collapsing the floor. A unique feature of this instalment is two scrolling shoot-'em-up levels, the first of which Mario pilots a submarine, and the second an aeroplane.

    Alundra

Alundra is a boy who can step into other people's dreams. His own dreams tell him to go to the village Inoa. The ship on which Alundra is coming to the village goes down, but Alundra himself is washed up on a beach near the village. There, a blacksmith Jess takes care of him and treats him like his own son. But Alundra, stepping into the dreams of the village people, understands there's a danger somewhere. The people have horrible nightmares, and only Alundra can find out what they mean...

Alundra is an action game with light RPG elements, somewhat similar to the Zelda series. It uses real-time combat and includes some platforming and environmental puzzles. A big part of the game is spent in dungeons (reached through an overhead map), where the player has to solve puzzles in order to proceed. During the course of the game, various new items, spells and special attacks are found which have to be used to solve new puzzles or get to previously unreachable places.

    Sly Racoon

The game uses cutscenes to present the background of Sly Cooper, a raccoon descendant from a long line of master thieves who steal from other thieves. However, that lineage became crippled when a gang known as the Fiendish Five — led by Clockwerk, a cyborg-like owl with a hatred for the Cooper line — killed Sly's father, Conner Cooper, while Sly was eight years old. The gang also got their hands on the Thievius Raccoonus, a book recording the journeys and skills of every Cooper ancestor. The book was split into five pieces among the Fiendish Five and dispersed within their lairs. Broke and alone, Sly was then taken to the Happy Camper Orphanage, where he became close friends with the intelligent Bentley and the happy-go-lucky Murray. The three eventually left the orphanage and formed the Cooper Gang, pulling off amazing heists and robberies. Their activities attracted the attention of INTERPOL Inspector Carmelita Fox, who made it her mission to capture Sly, and he took a subtle, romantic interest in her.

Once Sly managed to steal a police file from Inspector Fox's office, he and his gang learned the location of each Fiendish Five member and then plotted together to retrieve the stolen book. The raccoon took down each villain in their respective lairs, recovering a majority of the pages from the book and reassembling it piece by piece until finally, he discovered the location of Clockwerk's lair, all the while being furiously chased by Carmelita. After an assault on Clockwerk's fortress with help from Bentley, Murray and even Carmelita, Sly was able to defeat Clockwerk and fully reassemble the Thievius Raccoonus. Carmelita, keeping her word on an earlier promise, gave Sly a ten-second head start. However, once those ten seconds were up, Sly suddenly kissed her, which was enough of a distraction for him to handcuff her to the catwalk on which they stood, allowing him and his gang to make their escape.

After the credits, a severely wounded and seemingly dead Clockwerk, opened one of his eyes, showing that despite his defeat, he was still somewhat alive, setting up the premise for the next game.

    Final Fantasy IX

Final Fantasy IX tells the story of Zidane, the member of a team of theater actors who also happen to be a gang of thieves, and Garnet, the princess of Alexandria. Zidane and his buddies first plan to kidnap Garnet from her mother's palace. But shortly after the kidnapping, they realize the queen of Alexandria is up to something evil. Zidane, the princess, and other characters they encounter on their journey decide to join forces and to find out what can possibly drive the queen to commit her cruel deeds.

The game's visual style is similar to the previous entry in the Final Fantasy series, with 3D character models, world map, and battle stages, pre-rendered backgrounds in individual locations, and CG cutscenes that advance the story. However, from the point of view of overall atmosphere and gameplay, the game tends to resemble older installments more. Like in Final Fantasy IV, each character belongs to a specific class (e.g. thief, black mage, summoner, etc.) which cannot be changed, having his or her own unique abilities. Combat utilizes the series' trademark ATB (active-time battle) system. Battles allow participation of four player-controlled characters. The player is able to choose these from a larger amount of available characters during later parts of the game.

Character abilities (magic spells, immunity to certain status changes, etc.) are contained within weapons and armor. Each of these allows the player to learn one or more abilities by equipping the item on a character and continuously participating in battles. Ability points are awarded after battles along with experience points, gradually filling the ability bar of the equipped part. Once the bar is full, the ability can be used by the character even after the equipment that allowed him or her to learn it has been removed.

The card mini-game from the previous installment is now called Tetra Master, and is featured more prominently. Cards are now placed on a 4x4 grid, and can attack other cards on diagonals as well as cardinal directions. Cards no longer have set stats, and instead have a range of values and arrow positions, making every card unique. Regional rule variations are gone, but at the start of every match one to five positions on the grid will be blacked out, changing the player's offensive and defensive strategies with every game.

  39. After Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil: Code: Veronica receives a high-definition makeover, boasting 720p resolution. Despite its surprising choice for an HD remaster, this installment stands out for its intricate narrative and its status as a series milestone. However, the port does not fully capitalize on the potential enhancements. The game introduces 3D environments, departing from pre-rendered backgrounds, but fails to exploit this transition effectively, sticking to traditional fixed camera angles. Gameplay mechanics, reminiscent of early 2000s standards, feel outdated, with character movement notably cumbersome. Nevertheless, players can expect a lengthy campaign, lasting approximately 8 hours, with additional content including a first-person combat mode. Despite its technical shortcomings, the storyline remains a standout feature, offering a compelling narrative filled with twists and a distinctive atmosphere. However, the visual presentation disappoints, with textures appearing blurry, and a constant graininess detracting from the overall experience. Capcom's lackluster effort in this HD remaster falls short of paying homage to a beloved title in the franchise.

  41. Long time ago, Reharl, the King of Spirits, fought the destroyer Agito. Both sides used powerful armlets - Golden and Silver. Many years later, a warrior named Ordan found the Golden Armlet. recognizing unseen powers in his apprentice Leon, Ordan gave the armlet to him. Leon must become the new King of Spirits and defeat Agito, who is believed to be in possession of the Silver Armlet. In order to gain the power of the six Spirits, Leon must descend into the Spirits' dungeons.

The Legend of Oasis is the prequel to Beyond Oasis, also known as The Story of Thor. Like its predecessor, it is an action game with role-playing elements. The gameplay is quite similar to that of Beyond Oasis. Leon can attack with melee weapons or use a bow for long-ranged attack. His armlet also allows him to summon spirits, who would damage the enemy or heal Leon. Instead of the usual experience points system the game features "ranks" (equivalent to levels); higher ranks increase the protagonist's hit points and can be gained by recovering his health multiple times.

    Mafia II

Mafia II is a beautifully crafted look into the dark and unforgiving world of the Mafia. Hi-octane gunplay, brutal fighting and white-knuckle driving bust onto the screen as a Hollywood-style cinematic experience. It is the intriguing story of Vito Scaletta, who along with his childhood friend, Joe, will descend into the world of organized crime. Together, they will work to prove themselves to the Mafia as they try to make their names on the streets. Starting with low-level jobs like robbery and stealing cars, Vito and Joe escalate quickly up the Mafia family ladderbut the life as a wise guy isn't quite as glamorous as it seems.

  44. Three months after the events of Resident Evil 2, Claire Redfield is still looking for her brother Chris. She infiltrates Umbrella Corporation's headquarters in Paris, where she is captured and knocked out. When she comes to, she finds herself in a prison on a remote island. Freed by a friendly guard, Claire faces several problems. Not only is the island under attack by an unknown assailant, but there has been another outbreak of the T-Virus and the island is crawling with zombies and other mutated creatures. Claire not only has to face the undead, but also the commander of the base, a mad aristocrat with family ties to the origins of Umbrella Corporation and the T-Virus. And escaping from the island is only the beginning of Claire's ordeals.

Code: Veronica continues the survival horror gameplay of its predecessors: the protagonist explores the surroundings, fighting monsters and solving puzzles. However, Code: Veronica is the first game in the series to do away with pre-rendered backgrounds, using a fully polygonal 3D engine instead, which allows for features such as real-time lighting and camera movement. Still, such movements are only used sparingly, and the use of perspective is mostly unchanged from earlier installments: the camera automatically switches to different static angles, showing protagonist, monsters and rooms from different spooky viewpoints.

Most of the weapons from the earlier games make return appearances: knife, handguns, shotgun, grenade launcher and crossbow are all featured. There are also new weapons including a sniper rifle, an AK-47 and several guns only found in pairs, which can be used to target two enemies at the same time. Several weapons upgrades can also be found.

Similar to the earlier games, the player will not only control Claire, but also two other characters: Claire's fellow prisoner Steve, and her brother Chris.
