Continuing the tradition of adapting known franchises such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones with visuals based on LEGO, this game takes on the Batman universe. The basic concept is the same, with characters and objects built up using LEGO blocks, but here shown against surroundings drawn in a regular fashion. Most of the environments are side-scrolling with a fixed camera perspective, but in 3D with quite some depth.

It is not based on a certain movie or comic, but on the franchise as a whole with a new story. The animations and sequences are rather quirky and share nothing with the darker atmosphere of the contemporary Batman movies. A cast of villains has escaped from Arkham Asylum and now roam through Gotham City wreaking havoc. The first half of the game, players control Batman and his sidekick Robin to take on all enemies with typical brawler gameplay. Enemies will often respawn endlessly until the player figures out how to progress. The environments can be explored using a number of gadgets such as the batarang and the grappling hook, and players can switch between the two characters at any time. They can both fight and the inactive character is always controlled by the computer AI. Both characters have unique powers they can access by changing their suits. Batman can then glide through the air or plant bombs, while Robin has for instance a technology suit that allows his to walk on metal surfaces in any direction. They can also drive certain vehicles.

Both characters operate out of the Batcave that acts as a central hub to store trophies and access missions. Many of the missions have small puzzle elements with buttons or passages that need to be cleared. Objects and characters explode into smaller LEGO blocks and at certain sections the hero need to build structures with blocks to create new objects. After completing a mission in the story mode, it becomes available in a separate free play mode.

In the second part of the game players take control of the different villains such as Poison Ivy, The Joker, Mr Freeze, The Riddler, Killer Moth, Hush, Clayface, Man-Bat and more. They all have different powers and their section of the game always ends at the moment they are confronted by Batman and Robin. This way, the game shows how they set up their plans prior to the fights in the first part of the game. The characters collect coins, objects and hearts. Even though they can die, they immediately respawn.

Multi player options vary between platforms. Home console and Windows versions allow drop in/drop out co-op. The PSP release fares worst of all and does not contain any kind of multiplayer option.

Initial D: Extreme Stage is a racing game based on the manga Initial D. During story mode, Takumi Fujiwara competes against different characters from the manga in illegal street races. After a short banter, the race begins: it lasts around three minutes and the goal is to reach the end before the opponent. The races can be played in either 3rd- or 1st-person perspective. The other playing modes are time attack and online play (free races and races which count against the online ranking). Outside the story mode, the tracks can also be customized: driving direction, wet/dry and day/night.

Broforce is a co-operative patriotism simulation. You play as 80's and 90's action heroes waging war against terror in almost entirely destructible nostalgic settings.

When 15-year-old Peter Parker was bitten by a genetically altered spider he became faster, stronger, more agile and gained the spider-like ability to cling to walls. Ultimate Spider-Man follows both their Brian Michael Bendis-scripted adventures, as Spidey attempts to prevent Venom from killing innocents while Venom seeks to avoid S.H.I.E.L.D.’s machinations.

The Ultimate version of the Spider-Man mythos revamps the franchise, bringing in edgier (and often younger) versions of famous superheroes and supervillains. The Human Torch, Wolverine, Electro, and Green Goblin are some of the Ultimate characters who make appearances. Ultimate Spider-Man features a fully rendered, cel-shaded Manhattan open to exploration.

With few exceptions, Spider-Man and Venom can explore Manhattan and Queens, climbing, jumping, and web swinging away. Story missions show up as hot spots on the map as do other in-game objectives. When the player is done patrolling (or destroying) the city, they can hit these hot spots to advance the story. Between story missions, Spider-Man and Venom can follow race paths, go on combat tours, discover and collect hidden icons, and help (or hurt) the citizens of New York.

Like its predecessors, OutRun 2006 is an old-school arcade racer, which means that your cars don't have realistic physics, don't get damaged and have insanely fast speed.

Since this title is officially licensed by Ferrari, you drive with 15 original models from the DINO 246 GTS over the F430 to the all-new Enzo Ferrari. The heart of the game is the Coast 2 Coast mode in which you race against up to 5 AI players on 15 US themed tracks. In addition you have to impress different girlfriends. She tells you what she wants to see (a hard slide around a curve or a close take-over for example) and you have to perform it to win her heart.

There are 3 other game modes available in singleplayer: OutRun, Time Attack and OutRun2SP. In OutRun2SP you get access to 15 arcade tracks from the original OutRun 2. In OutRun however you need to drive your girlfriend through various checkpoints to the goal before the timer hits zero. In Time Attack you just have to beat the highscore of the current track. You can either race against the clock or against ghost cars.

In every mode you get OutRun miles after the race. These are the currency of the game and are needed to unlock new cars, upgrades and additional music-stations.

If you feel alone, even with your virtual girlfriend in the car, you can race online against 5 other players.

In an ancient time long past, a young man travels to the ends of the Earth, a place that is said to be forbidden to enter. He carries a young woman, who died from a terrible curse. He seeks the Dormin, a strange and God-like being that resides there. The Dormin is surprised that the man carries an ancient and magical sword, and speaks to the man. The man pleas for his help in bringing back the woman's cursed soul, however the being says it is the law of mortals that a dead soul cannot be brought back. He does say though, that if the man is willing to accept some heavy consequences, that there might be a way to revive her. But it will not be easy.

The hero must embark on a quest to slay the sixteen colossi, giant creatures that tower hundreds of feet above the Earth. Using his ancient sword and his horse Agro, he must travel across the immense landscape seeking the colossi to save his love. Taking the form of various animals or bipedal human-like creatures, these colossi are tough and fierce. Their skin is tougher than leather, and the armor they wear is literally rock. However, by using his ancient sword, the man can penetrate the weak spot on them and destroy the towering beings and free his love's soul.

Shadow of the Colossus is set in the same universe as ICO, and is a prequel to it. The entire game is dedicated to locating and fighting the sixteen colossi, which must be faced and defeated in a particular order. Finding the giant creatures is not always easy: the hero must mount his horse and ride through the world's vast landscapes, using his glowing sword as an indicator of the colossus' proximity. There are no enemies or hazards in the game world outside of the colossi battles. After a colossus has been found, a large-scale battle begins. Most of the colossi are huge, and much of the challenge in the battles lies in climbing on top of these creatures and staying there, while they are trying to shake the player character off. In a certain way the colossi function as hostile, moving platform stages.

The general goal in every battle is to reach the colossus' weakpoint and repeatedly stab it with the sword until he dies. Since the colossi vary greatly in shape, size, speed, intelligence, and attitude towards the hero, the player will have to adapt to different fighting styles and employ different tactics against them. Most of the battles involve extended platform action sequences, as the hero is trying to climb on the colossus and find its weak spot. Grabbing the creature's fur, timing the jumps, and getting in a good position to use the sword are often essential. Other tactics include fighting on horseback, using ranged attacks with the bow, luring the colossus into specific locations to use the environment against it, taking advantage of the terrain, etc. Environments in which battles take place are also varied, including mountains, deserts, lakes, ancient ruins, and others.

Doom 3 (stylized as D00M3) is a science fiction survival horror first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Activision. Doom 3 was first released for Microsoft Windows on August 3, 2004. Developer Vicarious Visions ported the game to the Xbox console (also backwards compatible to the Xbox 360), releasing it on April 3, 2005. British developers Splash Damage also assisted in design for the multiplayer elements of the game.

The game is a reboot of the Doom franchise, disregarding storylines of the previous Doom video games, it is however a prequel to Doom I and II (according to the Doom RPG website they are all part of the same universe, it places Doom RPG as a sequel to Doom 3, and prequel to Doom/Doom II all starring the same marine character. Doom 3 is set in 2145 on Mars, where a military-industrial conglomerate has set up a scientific research facility to research into fields such as teleportation, biological research and advanced weapons design. However, the teleportation experiments inadvertently open a gateway to Hell, resulting in a catastrophic invasion by demons. The player, an anonymous space marine, must fight through the base and find a way to stop the demons attacking Earth.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the fourth major installment in the series, developed by Hideo Kojima. It resolves previous plotlines by reintroducing characters from earlier games. The story follows an aged Solid Snake deployed to the Middle East in 2014 to thwart Liquid Ocelot, who aims to control the Sons of the Patriots and build an army.

The game introduces new actions, an enhanced camera, and a redesigned combat system. Camouflage is replaced by Octocamo, and the stamina gauge by a stress meter, affecting accuracy based on combat and climate conditions. Snake has access to a diverse array of customizable weapons.

Gadgets include the Solid Eye (electronic binoculars) and the Metal Gear Mk. II (exploration and stunning robot). The multiplayer, Metal Gear Online, features original modes like "Sneaking Mission" and "Team Sneaking" based on stealth elements.

Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is a 3D platforming adventure beat-em-up that takes place in the Mortal Kombat world. The story begins just after the first tournament, and fills in some of the backgrounds of various characters in the series. Fighting across several areas of Earthrealm, Netherrealm, and Outworld, this game follows Liu Kang and Kung Lao (the Shaolin Monks) as they thwart another invasion of Earth. Shaolin Monks features a wide cast of recognizable characters, many secret unlockables, as well as being able to play through with a friend in Ko-op mode.

The combat is fast-paced, with numerous ways to dispose of enemies, including Mortal Kombat signature moves and Fatalities. Kombat goes beyond what can be seen in the fighting games, with several extra features such as the series first Multi-Directional Kombat System, Multalities (kill multiple opponents with one move), Brutalities (see red as you unleash brutal force), Ko-op only team attacks, and even character progression (earn experience to spend on upgrades to moves). The backgrounds, all based on Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II arenas, come to life with numerous hazards for the monks that they can turn on their enemies.

A kung-fu platform game.

In the year 1286, Sir Daniel Fortesque and his soldiers fought against the evil sorcerer Zarok, who raised an army of demons, intending to conquer the world. Sir Daniel was hailed as a hero after the battle, supposedly having been mortally wounded during it, taking Zarok with him. However, it looks like the sorcerer was not defeated in that battle. A hundred years later, he appears again, robbing people of their souls to build an army of undead. Unleashing waves of necromantic energy, Zarok inadvertently revives Sir Daniel as well. Now a skeletal corpse, the knight must correct the mistakes of the past and defeat Zarok once and for all.

MediEvil is an action game in which the player controls Sir Daniel, exploring 3D environments and fighting many enemies that stand on his path towards the ultimate goal. The protagonist starts with his own detachable arm as the basic weapon; however, later he acquires swords and other melee weapons, as well as bows. Money can be collected and spent on items and equipment sold by gargoyle merchants. The hero must also find various rune stones that will allow him to access new areas.

Each level contains a chalice that can be filled with souls of defeated enemies. Sir Daniel may take a chalice only after having vanquished a sufficient amount of foes. Getting the chalice enables access to the Hall of Heroes, where the protagonist can receive new weapons. Collecting all the chalices in the game unlocks a special ending.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games will take players to Vancouver, Canada, host city of the official 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Theme Hospital is a level-based hospital management simulation where players have to start on an empty building, and then assemble rooms with all kinds of material, from desks and file cabinets for the general diagnosis to the expensive ultra-scanners and x-rays to diagnose such bizarre diseases such as Bloaty Head, Slack Songue or Alien DNA, and treat them with with even more bizarre machines like an Head Inflator or a DNA fixer. There several additional rooms, such as a staff room for your employees to rest, a toilet so that patients don't have to relieve themselves in the corridors, a research department to get the most advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies and a training room where consultants can teach a thing or two to rookies, making them capable doctors. The size and layout of each room can be set by the player, according to the available space. In addition to rooms, the player must provide radiators, seating for patients and drink machines.

However, rooms don't run by themselves. Most diagnostic and clinics can work with regular doctors, but others like the operating theater and the research room require specialized staff while the ward, pharmacy and the fracture clinic require an attending nurse. At the same time, the hospital can't run without handymen cruising around the hospital to water up dry plants, clean up litter and vomit (after all, people go there because they are sick) and fix machines, while receptionists direct patients to the proper rooms.

As levels advance, the player faces increasingly harder situations: VIP visits, emergencies, epidemics and earthquakes, which can either take a toll on reputation or on the bank account. On the other hand, as more and more equipment is required, additional plots of land are available for purchase in later maps.

The year is 1898. A young gypsy woman named Koudelka, who possesses unique spiritual abilities, is off to Wales, to investigate the mystery of the Nameton monastery. This monastery was once a regular place of worship, but later was bought by a mysterious man whose death circumstances are yet unclear. Rumors say that supernatural powers have appeared in the monastery since then. But when she begins to explore the monastery, Koudelka discovers she was not the only one who was interested in its past...

Koudelka is a role-playing game with elements of survival horror. Players take the role of Koudelka as she explores the monastery, gathering clues and solving puzzles. This aspect of the gameplay is therefore similar to a survival horror game; however, the combat is strategic and turn-based. During battles, players can position and move the party members freely on the battle field. The amount of actions that can performed during a turn depends on the dexterity of the character. There are also various support and attack spells to cast.

The game features a refined weapon management, in which the damage that is inflicted with a particular kind of weapon (bare hands, guns, maces, etc.) increases the more that the weapon is used. Eventually weapons will break, but new ones can be found from defeated enemies. When one of the characters levels up, players can freely distribute experience points to increase and customize any of their statistics and parameters.

Crash and his friends are back in a knockdown, drag-out arena rumble. Get ready to ride, race, jump, throw, and battle it out to the finish in frantic, head-to-head battles, and heart-pumping chases. Choose your favorite character, including Crash, Coco, Dr. Neo Cortex, and new baddie Rill Roo, and race for points in more than 30 competitive events. With a Multitap, you can race up to three of your friends and show who's the top bandicoot. It's a good old-fashioned bandicoot brawl.

Juiced is a racing game, set in the fictive Angel City, that embraces the lifestyle and culture of street racing and tuning, similar to Need for Speed Underground, with slick, fully customizable cars, fast races, gaining respect and betting. The arcade mode offers quick races and in the custom mode you can set up events with unlocked cars and tracks. There are 52 vehicles from known manufacturers to acquire, and the game boasts a total of 7.5 trillion car customization possibilities. To make available all cars, tracks and parts, you need to progress in the career mode, where you build cars and participate in racing events to earn cash and respect. Aside from the traditional circuit and point-to-point races, there are also drag races (sprints) and show-offs with difficult maneuvers requiring advanced driving techniques.

When you achieve acclaim in the career mode, some of the eight racing crews in Angel City will offer a position on their team. Each crew has specific challenges and crew racing introduces additional gameplay elements. You have to organize events by phone, gamble, and race opponents for their cars (pink slip races). The team leader's respect is controlled by the amount of damage given and sustained (distress, which also affects the car's performance) and your personal car collection. In team races, there is a strategic element as you can control your team members' aggressiveness in-game.

Up to six player can race in the multiplayer mode, in which pink slip races, based on the car collection from the offline career mode, are also available. Statistics are organized on a world ranking server, with record times from singleplayer games and a rating based on your online performance. Ratings can be improved by beating higher-ranked players or multiple drivers in a single race.

Dr. Doom has united supervillains as the Masters of Evil. Now for the first time ever, over 20 Marvel superheroes including Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade and Silver Surfer have come together to stop Doom. Mix and match your choice of Marvel superheroes, in teams of four as you travel across the Marvel Universe to stop this threat. Certain teams such as The Fantastic Four and The New Avengers provide additional bonuses.

Some heroes must be unlocked first. The game also features RPG elements, such as leveling up. When a hero gains a level, they earn points you can use to upgrade their skills. You also collect Shield Coins, which can be spent on boosts for your hero team.

You explore various legendary Marvel locales, from Asgard, to Prince Namor's Atlantis, where you take on foes with punches, kicks and super powers. Super powers drain energy, however, so use them wisely. Combos can be achieved by combining super powers. Energy is restored by collecting blue orbs from fallen foes.

Boss battles are like the comics themselves: titanic battles that often not only test brawn but your brain as well. With over 20 playable heroes plus all the cameos, there are over 100 heroes and villains.

Rain is a 3D game with an emphasis on puzzle elements set in a city loosely inspired by mid-twentieth century Paris. In the introduction with watercolour visuals the protagonist is introduced, a young boy who meant to go to the circus, but is bedridden because of a fever. He hears a sound outside his window and sees the silhouette of a monster in the rain, chasing the silhouette of a girl. He goes outside, follows the ghostly creatures through a door of light and discovers that just like them he has become invisible. The game environment is drenched in continuous rain and only when standing in the rain does his silhouette become visible and can he be spotted. When in a dry environment or seeking shelter he is completely invisible. He decided to find the girl before the unknown monster does.

The game is set in a dark, 3D city environment with free movement and cinematic, fixed camera perspectives based on the boy's position. The boy can move around, run, jump, climb and interact with the environment. He cannot attack, so most of the game he needs to use the environment to distract enemies or find cover. He can push items around to create platforms to reach new parts of the environment. Many of the enemies, afflicted with the same invisibility except when in the rain, need to be lured away with distractions and sounds to reach passages and nearby items. In many cases it is also necessary to run away and hide.

The game consists of eight chapters. After the game is finished it can be played again to collect three memories per chapter. These provide additional pieces of the story and are presented in the game as orbs that come up from the ground, often hidden in non-obvious places. They only appear when the boy is near them and can be picked up by walking over them.

Demolish Fist is a side scrolling beat 'em up where the player controls one of four characters, Enzo, Leoneer, Vanessa or Undead as you battle your way through various stages. There are many items, which are available to use as a weapons against your enemies. Each player has their own assortment of moves and specials that they can unleash at will. Also all four of these characters have the ability to use the awesome 'Vertigo' technique! Demolish Fist is a well put together fighting game that has many things to offer the beat 'em up world.

"Leçons de cuisine - Qu'allons-nous Manger Aujourd'hui ?" is a cooking software on Nintendo DS offering nearly 250 recipes from traditions around the world. The game also includes a database of ingredients and different cooking techniques. Note that it is possible to control the progress of the recipe using voice commands.

The story takes on right after the events of Killzone 2. The ISA forces launched an assault on Helghan, the homeworld of Helghast, and in the process eliminate Emperor Visari. The game continues from there, as the remaining troops that are situated in front of Visari palace are pulling back toward the rest of the fleet and leave the planet. Player once again assumes the role of Sergeant Tomas Sevchenko, accompanied with his comrade in arms, Sergeant Ricardo Velasquez. As the troops pull back under the command of Captain Jason Narville, they encounter a heavy Helghast resistance. In the process, Rico disobbeys a direct orders and splits off with Sev to try and save a group of soldiers pinned down by the heavy enemy fire. Six months after, the ISA fleet returned to Earth, what few troops didn't reach it were either imprisoned or in hiding. In the meantime, the Helghast senate voted Admiral Orlock for a new leader which prompted Chairman Jorhan Stahl to leave and decide to take matters into his own hands by developing new deadly weapon and ultimately try to wipe out the enemy home planet, Earth. Against all odds, Rico and Sev decide to rescue all the prisoners and stop the enemy fleet from reaching Earth.

Several improvements have been made over its prequel, and it can be seen in overall smoother and more balanced gameplay. As in previous game, you will commandeer various turrets and vehicles which will add to firepower but will leave you with rails-driven gameplay. One of the new weapons is a jet-pack which lets you jump and semi-fly with unlimited ammo as a part of new exoskeleton. The environment can sometimes be destroyed or used to your advantage, shooting barrels or certain plants will take out nearby enemy soldiers. Beside single-player campaign, Killzone 3 offers an upgraded version of Killzone 2's multiplayer. The game is also the first in the franchise to support 3D TVs.

Most of the games have different variations of them that you can choose from. Up to four players can participate simultaneously, and all games are controlled by mimicking the real life movements with the Wii Remote. There is also a tournament mode where you can have up to 16 players compete. There are 10 players to choose from along with customizable characters.

After having fulfilled Princess Zelda's request and saved the land of Hyrule from a grave danger, Link departs on his horse Epona. In the Lost Woods he is ambushed by Skull Kid, an imp who dons a mysterious mask, accompanied by the fairies Tael and Tatl. Skull Kid turns Link into a small plant-like creature known as Deku Scrub and takes away his horse and his magical ocarina. Shortly afterwards Tatl joins Link and agrees to help him revert to his native form. A meeting with a wandering mask salesman reveals that the Skull Kid is wearing Majora's Mask, an ancient item used in hexing rituals, which calls forth a menacing moon hovering over the land of Termina. Link has exactly three days to find a way to prevent this from happening.

Majora's Mask is a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. It utilizes the same engine and visual style, and virtually identical interface. The game retains the traditional elements of Zelda games (dungeon exploration, sword fighting, bows, bombs, heart containers, etc.) as well as those introduced in its immediate predecessor, such as active blocking with a shield, various throwing items, and the usage of melodies played on the ocarina to solve puzzles. Compared to the previous Zelda games, this installment is more oriented towards interaction with NPCs and has a larger variety of items, optional quests, and mini-games.

Also unique to this entry is its time system. The game has an internal clock, with one hour roughly corresponding to one real-life minute. If the player hasn't completed all the objectives within three in-game days, the moon falls on Termina, annihilating everyone and ending the game. However, the player can return to the first day at any time by playing a song on the ocarina, saving all quest-related progress and inventory but losing other items such as ammunition or money (unless stored in a bank). It is also possible to learn melodies that slow the time passage significantly, or advance the clock instantly to the next day. Some events happen only at specific times, and many characters follow their own schedules throughout the three days. Owl statues scattered across the land provide quick-save points and serve as teleporters between areas when discovered.

Collection and usage of masks play an important role in the game. Most of the twenty-four masks that can be found in the game are optional, and usually serve to solve side quests or enhance Link's abilities, allowing him, for example, to run faster or to become invisible. Transformation masks can be used to turn Link into a Deku Scrub, a Goron, or a Zora. Each of these forms has access to unique abilities, many of which are essential to the completion of the game. Among other skills, Deku Link can shoot bubbles from his mouth and float between flowers; Goron Link can operate heavy switches and walk through lava without taking damage, and weigh down heavy switches; Zora Link can swim fast and generate force fields.

In 1996, Sony was still trying to make its place in the very closed world of home console manufacturers. From then on, one thing was clear: the Playstation still lacked references in the field of platform games. The SNES, although technically outdated at the time by its 32-bit counterparts, continued to host hits in this field (Donkey Kong Country 3, to name but one). Even worse, the direct competitor, Sega and its Saturn, already had some quality titles, including the excellent Nights. But that's without counting on the unsuspected talents of the young developer Naughty Dog, who then decided to support Sony by bringing a very nice stone to the Playstation building. It is in this context that the first episode of the Crash Bandicoot series is released. Displaying a magnificent 3D honoring the 32-bit support, the game allows itself to borrow some codes from its 16-bit elders. Thus, Crash evolves on an archipelago divided into three islands, each of which contains at least one boss, and the movement from one point to another on the island is done before the selection of each level. The reference to Donkey Kong Country is obvious, especially since the tropical theme of the environments is also borrowed from Rare.

Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix (commonly shortened to Sonic Megamix) is a work-in-progress multiperson disassembly modification of the original Sonic the Hedgehog videogame for the Sega Mega Drive, developed by Team Megamix and more recently moved to the Sega Mega-CD. The game features the ability to play as one of five different characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Mighty the Armadillo, Shadow the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna. It is an extensive reworking of the original game, featuring new art, music, abilities, layouts, and other things.

Electronic Arts' first game based on the Lord of the Rings movies is an action game with classic beat'em up-style gameplay. Despite the title, it covers events from both the first and the second film in the trilogy.

Players, choosing to control Aragorn, Legolas or Gimli, must battle the evil forces of the Dark Lord Sauron in order to protect the Ring of Power and restore peace to Middle-earth.

The player character moves through the levels, fighting hordes of Orcs, Goblins and other creatures with various attack and parrying moves. The more varied the attacks are and the less the player is hit, the more points are awarded for each kill. At the end of each level, kill points are accumulated and can be used to gain new abilities. Most of these are new attack moves, unleashed through various button combinations. Others increase health or upgrade the strength or speed of existing attacks. Each of the three characters has unique upgrades and moves.

Several levels feature boss battles with the likes of the Watcher of Moria or Lurtz, leader of the Uruk-hai. Each boss requires a unique strategy to defeat.

Most combat scenes from the movies have been turned into levels for the game: from the confrontation with the Ringwraiths at the Weathertop and the battle in the Mines of Moria from the first film to fights with Warg-riders and other enemies on the plains of Rohan from the second film. The game culminates in the defense of Helm's Deep, even though the depiction of the battle in the game differs considerably from that in the film.

Between the levels, cutscenes tell the story. These scenes combine actual film footage with footage rendered with the game engine.

The game offers lots of bonus content, some of which must be unlocked by completing missions or reaching certain levels with the characters. Featured are interviews with the filmmakers and actors (who also provide voices for the game) as well as various making-of features.

Count Dracula, the evil Transylvanian vampire lord, is resurrected in the year 1792, a century after the brave vampire hunter Simon Belmont vanquished him. His demonic servant Shaft is sent to nearby village to kill men, abduct women, and set the village on fire. Richter Belmont, Simon's descendant, swears to free the women, among which is his fiancee Annette. He takes the Vampire Killer, a powerful whip he inherited from his ancestor, and enters the castle, hoping to put an end to the Dark Lord's reign.

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is, like its predecessors in the series, an action platformer. Richter is trying to reach the end of each stage, defeating evil creatures on the way with his whip and traditional sub-weapons (throwing axes, daggers, holy crosses, etc.). He can also perform powerful "item crash" attacks with his sub-weapons. In comparison with the previous entry in the series, Super Castlevania IV, the game lacks the eight-directional whipping. As with most Castlevania games the levels consist of platforming challenges which require good timing and reactions. At the end of each stage Richter will face a powerful boss.

The kidnapped women are hidden in the castle and to find them Richter needs to uncover hidden exits which may lead to alternative levels and bosses. One of such hidden areas unlocks a second player character: Maria Renard, Annette's sister. She is weaker than Richter but has a greater agility and her own abilities such as sliding and double jumping, which allow her to find even more alternative paths. She also has her own special attacks with unique sub-weapons.

Avalon Code is a hack and slash Action-RPG that takes place in a world about to end. Choosing between a male or female avatar, the player is given the Book of Prophecy from which the world will be remade. Everything in the world can be scanned and recorded into the Book of Prophecy, and players can further redefine an entry's properties by mixing and matching pieces of code.

Codes in Avalon Code are Tetris-like chunks which fit into each book entry's grid of available code space. Think of these codes like genes in a DNA sequence that you can grab and move with the stylus. For example, elemental properties (such as fire) can be incorporated into a weapon, allowing you to melt ice. Removing codes from enemies allows you to weaken them, making them easier to dispatch.

Players string together light combos and can perform charged special moves. Additionally, the player can begin a Judgment Link which juggles the enemy higher and higher (with proper timing) which yields precious HP, MP and Gem bonuses. Dungeons are somewhat unique in that each room is a timed challenge, with requirements such as hitting all switches, defeating all enemies, Judgment Linking xN, and/or various combinations of these.

In Alter Echo, interstellar corporations mine a new organic skin called Plast and use it to make biomachines. Nevin, who can physically alter Plast and time itself, discovers that illegal experiments have infected Plast with human consciousness, and now he must fight for survival against a world gone mad. From Capcom's Clover studios, the team behind Viewtiful Joe 2, comes a 3-D cell shaded action adventure in the world of feudal Japan. Ōkami tells the tale of a wolf-goddess named Amaterasu who must prevent an evil being known as Orochi from taking over the beautiful world of feudal Japan. Ōkami takes the already well established cell shading technique and turns it into a traditional Hokusai-style Japanese woodblock print visual.

To give the player a sense of being in a painting, Amaterasu is given a paint brush in which the player can cut enemies down with, create bridges or wind, and restore the forest to its natural beauty. With each defeated enemy, color returns and the natural life force slowly regenerates. While playing, players call up a canvas where they can draw with the celestial brush. New abilities and techniques are acquired as you progress.

Ōkami is filled with large worlds and dungeons to explore on your quest to restore the lush trees and wildlife to their former glory. Many monsters and large epic boss battles come between Amaterasu and her goal. To fulfill her objective there will be many people along the way that will help her if she helps them.

Based on the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa and officially licenced by player of the tournament Jonah Lomu, this game plays as more of an arcade style of gameplay rather than a sports simulation. Players can compete in the full World Cup, a round-robin league, or a knock-out cup.

Danganronpa is a murder-mystery visual novel with action elements. The player takes the role of Makoto Naegi, a new student at the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy in Tokyo. Hope's Peak is a high school that only admits the most talented students in the country, whatever their talent may be, but Makoto is unusual even among his extraordinary peers. He was admitted to the academy through a lottery, giving him the title of Super High-school Level Good Luck.

Makoto's first day of school quickly takes a downhill turn when he learns that he and his 14 classmates are locked inside the school, and there is nobody else in the building except Monokuma, a sadistic, talking teddy bear with a black-and-white body. Monokuma offers the students a chance to escape, but only if one of them is able to murder a classmate without being caught. Once a murder takes place, a class trial will be held to decide the guilty party. If the murderer is not correctly decided upon, that student will be able to "graduate" at the cost of everyone else's lives. However, if the students do find the culprit, that single person will be messily executed in an elaborate display.

Now living in the school building with no contact with the outside world, the students try to figure out who's controlling Monokuma and how to escape to freedom. However, some of the teenagers do plan to take Monokuma up on his offer of graduation, and it's up to Makoto to unravel the mysteries behind each murder.

The game is divided into six chapters, which are further broken into Daily Life and Deadly Life segments. In Daily Life, the player can engage in Free Time conversations, in which Makoto gets to know his classmates by selecting the correct options in their dialogue trees. Completing Free Time awards Skill Points that can be spent for various beneficial abilities during trials. This part of the game also includes exploration of the school building and scripted scenes. Once a murder has been committed, Deadly Life begins, and Makoto must scour the building for evidence during the Investigation. When all evidence has been collected, the game switches to the Class Trial, a fully-voiced set of cutscenes and action-oriented minigames. The player must then use both their reflexes and logic to present the correct evidence, debate with other students, and draw the conclusions that will expose the true murderer.

A year after the game's initial release, it was given a discounted rerelease under the PSP the Best product range. This version contains some bug fixes, updated gameplay, and unlockable artwork, none of which were present in the original release.

Worms Forts: Under Siege is a turn-based strategy game where 2 – 4 people battle it out with a team of 4 worms with the help of weapons and forts. Each player takes timed turns bombing, shooting, causing natural and unnatural disasters, punching and blowing up the opponent’s worms. Each worm has a set amount of health and once that health is depleted or the worm drowns that worm is dead.

New to the series is the ability to construct buildings to aid in the fight. Build hospitals to resurrect dead worms, science labs to increase your firepower, strongholds to base your operations in and protect your worms, towers, keeps, castles and citadels to deploy weapons from their tops and weapon factories to produce multiple weapons around them at the start of each turn you take. Along with these typical buildings you can create Wonders which your opponent has two turns to knock down and if they don’t succeed you win. If they in turn build their own you must destroy it to win the game.

Along with the typical Worms-style weapons like the mini gun, bazooka, rocket launcher, earthquake and homing pigeon (a homing missile in the form of a pigeon), you will also have weapons to destroy buildings like the trebuchet, fridge launcher, nuclear strike and the Trojan Donkey (which you get to place where you like and it remains there until it explodes, how long it takes to explode is not known). Some weapons like the Old Women and Rhino can be steered to your desired location upon which they explode on contact, or they can be exploded early by pressing a button.

Throughout the game different crates will fall from the sky or teleport onto the playing field. There are four different types of crates: weapon crates (more powerful weapons); health crates (increase the health of a wounded or sick worm); utility crates, which carry instant utilities such as spy (see contents of all crates on the field), double time (doubling the time for your turn) and double damage (for one turn inflict double the damage); and collectible utilities like freeze (freeze your worms or buildings to protect them from damage for one turn), parachute (so your worm can safely jump from heights), jet pack (to reach distant locations and heights) and repair (to fix damaged buildings).

Single play allows for a quick game, tutorial, campaign, the trials (death match against the CPU) and the viewing gallery, which allows you to view movies you have unlocked in the game by winning matches, see how much of the game you have completed, check out the credits and look through the Fortapedia (a list of buildings available in the game and their descriptions).

As with the other Worms games, in multiplayer you have a plethora of options to choose from to set up a match against other people including allowing the CPU to play. Choose schemes (selection of pre-set weapons and game options), landscapes (the type of playing field – Roman, Egyptian, Samurai and Old World), Fortpot (a slot machine that randomly selects three game options from the many available), game settings (wins required, turn time, etc.), worm health and sudden death settings.

Top Speed is a Driving game, developed by Taito Corporation and published by Romstar, which was released in 1987.
