(/!\ This ROM is in french)
Following the death of Professor REGIS CHEN at the age of 89, his son Professor REINER undertook to respect his last wishes, namely to solve the mystery of the shynisation of POKéMON in the UNIUM region. He has therefore moved into a brand new laboratory in this region, and taken all his employees with him, including your father.
Freshly recruited as a young POKéMON researcher, help your family and colleagues solve the great mystery behind this evil that is spreading throughout the POKéMON world!
In this new POKéMON adventure, you'll be rediscovering POKéMON from a whole new angle, one that would make the most envious of shiny-hunters swoon, because as you'll have gathered, this time it's the non-shiny POKéMON that have become extremely rare (reverse shiny rate).
My game aims to be a complete POKéMON game, so in addition to the classic POKéMON LEAGUE quest and the POKéDEX, it contains a main story and its post-game, side quests, numerous legends and even a world championship where you'll face off against the LEAGUE masters from all the regions of the official games.3 points -
God of War: Ascension
Lazlow88 and 2 others reacted to RomStation for a game
God of War: Ascension is the seventh installment in the series and serves as a prequel. The player controls Kratos, a former servant of Ares, who is tricked into killing his own family. After breaking his blood oath, Kratos is imprisoned and must fight for his freedom.
The game retains the hack-and-slash combat system of previous entries. Kratos wields the Blades of Chaos and can use new weapons through the "World Weapon" system. He can also learn four magical disciplines (Fires of Ares, Ice of Poseidon, Lightning of Zeus, Soul of Hades), each granting unique abilities. The Rage mechanic has been modified: it triggers automatically at full charge and lasts as long as Kratos continues attacking.
For the first time in the series, the game features online multiplayer. Players align with one of four gods (Ares, Hades, Zeus, or Poseidon), each granting distinct powers. Experience points unlock abilities, weapons, and armor. The game includes four multiplayer modes: Team Favor of the Gods, Match of Champions, Trial of the Gods, and Capture the Flag.3 points -
Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage
Acenato and 2 others reacted to RomStation for a game
Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage is a 3D beat 'em up. It is a spin-off of the Dynasty Warriors series based on the manga franchise Fist of the North Star.
The basic controls and mission system are the same as most games in Warriors series. Players can also evade like the characters in the Samurai Warriors series. While a KO count is still present, enemies do not necessarily swarm the players and appear in certain sections within an area. Enemies are killed in a similar manner as the original manga, including the series' unique death cries, blood, and exploding bodies.3 points -
Burnout 3: Takedown
bert621761 and 2 others reacted to Rayal for a game
Burnout 3: Takedown is a racing game which encourages aggressive driving and lets you use your vehicle to smash your way to the finish line by taking out your rivals and causing massive multi-car pileups. The more cars you take out, damage you inflict, the more events and cars you can unlock. Burnout 3 also has a "crash" mode which puts your vehicle at a variety of traffic junctions jam-packed with moving vehicles and pickups to see just how much monetary damage you can inflict.
Burnout 3: Takedown continues the racing series with more cars, more tracks, a more detailed crash engine, and a multitude of new gameplay modes for single players, multiple players on one system, and online play.
Some features include:
Crash Mode: In addition to this gameplay element introduced in Burnout 2, Pick-ups have been added. They are scattered throughout the intersections. Some pick-ups will halve, double or quadruple your score, cause massive explosions to cause even more damage, or increase your damage with monetary bonuses.
Sophisticated crash technology allows for high-speed crashes with extreme detail. Use your vehicle as a weapon and takedown rivals, using the new Aftertouch feature to control your vehicle after the moment of impact.
9 Race Modes including Single Race, Tournament, Lap Eliminator, Burning Lap and Road Rage.
Multiplayer Modes include Quick Line, Battle Race, Road Rage, and Party Crash, where 2-16 players participate in a pass-the-controller match-up.
7 Online Modes allow you to race online with up to 6 players. Battle through oncoming traffic in Crash Mode, Single Race, Road Rage, and more.
Over 70 Vehicles in 12 different classes including European exotics, American muscle cars, mid-size sedans, sports cars, compacts, buses and semi trucks.
Over 40 Tracks spanning 3 continents. Take on opponents across a broad range of environments, and experience dozens of traffic-filled crash junctions.3 points -

Resident Evil 4 HD
FGZEERSOPJD and 2 others reacted to RomStation for a game
Resident Evil 4 HD is an enhanced version of the iconic survival-horror game, offering upgraded visuals and a smoother gameplay experience. Originally praised for its groundbreaking gameplay mechanics and intense atmosphere, this HD remaster brings the classic title to modern platforms with improved graphics and resolution support up to 720p.
The game follows the story of Leon S. Kennedy, who is sent to Spain to rescue the President's kidnapped daughter. Along the way, players encounter a diverse range of enemies and environments, from eerie villages to ancient castles, all rendered in higher resolution textures for enhanced immersion.
In terms of gameplay, Resident Evil 4 HD retains its signature over-the-shoulder perspective and tight controls, albeit with some refinements for smoother movement and aiming. Quick Time Events (QTEs) add an element of tension to the action sequences, while the addition of a new playable view enhances the overall experience.
Aside from the graphical upgrades, the HD version includes bonus content such as Ada's additional scenario, Separate Ways, previously exclusive to the PS2 version. Players can also unlock a dozen Achievements/Trophies for completing various in-game challenges.
While the HD remaster offers an improved visual presentation and additional content, some may find the lack of significant gameplay enhancements disappointing, especially compared to more recent entries in the series. However, for fans of the original game looking to revisit the classic title with enhanced graphics and additional features, Resident Evil 4 HD provides a satisfying experience.3 points -

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Mathieu2112 and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Twilight Princess is the first Legend of Zelda game for the Wii and also the last for GameCube. At first Link is a simple farm boy, whose tasks consist of herding goats to watching children in Ordon village, Link's home town. One day, Link is asked by the mayor to run an errand in Castle Town, but things sudden go wrong…
The land becomes dark, and strange creatures appear from another world called the Twilight Realm, which turns most into ghosts. Link, however, becomes a wolf. After becoming a wolf, Link is aided by Midna, a resident of the Twilight Realm. Midna helps Link find a way to turn human again along with other tasks.
The wolf cannot use a sword or other items. Instead, as a wolf Link must use his senses to solve puzzles and get past obstacles. The beast can also dig holes to find hearts and rupees and to get in places. It can push blocks with its head to climb higher or reveal hidden passageways. Additionally, it can attack enemies by biting or pouncing on them.
As a human, Link can move around quickly, aim his bow, swing his sword, and even fish. Link also collects many different items, which allow him to perform varied attacks and reach places he couldn't before. Link performs many attacks with his sword and can even learn other sword moves.
The game's art is similar to the naturalistic style of Ocarina of Time, rather than the cel-shaded look of The Wind Waker. Chronologically, the game takes place between the two aforementioned titles and quite a few locations from Ocarina of Time can be visited. The main adventure takes place in several provinces with dungeons and temples. With the help of Midna, you can easily travel around quickly later in the game.2 points -

The game received positive reviews upon release, with praise for the online mode, characters, gameplay, tracks and karts, although there was criticism for its item balancing. It is one of the best-selling video games of all time with over 37 million copies sold and is the second best-selling game for the Wii behind Wii Sports.2 points -

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis
TheSkunk and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Resident Evil 3 takes place during the events of Resident Evil 2. The midwestern town of Raccoon City is in ruins, having been overrun with the undead creating T-virus thanks to the wacky hijinks of William Birkin and Umbrella Inc. The player must guide Jill "master of unlocking" Valentine (one of the two main protagonists of the original Resident Evil) out of the city alive. Along the way, Jill will interact with and receive help from (or be hindered by) three Umbrella mercenaries who are also stranded in Raccoon City. Standing in the way of your group's last escape are a horde of flesh-eating zombified citizens, homicidal mutants, and a relentless killing machine known only as Nemesis who is determined to hunt down and kill the survivors of the original Resident Evil, including Jill.
A dramatic improvement over Tyrant/Mr. X/G from the previous games, Nemesis can run (faster than Jill, in fact), use firearms (a rocket launcher), dodge attacks, and even move through doors and from room to room in pursuit of Jill. On top of that he still possesses the nigh indestructibility we've come to know from Umbrella's ultimate bio-weapons.
Like its two predecessors Resident Evil 3 is a third-person action-adventure game with polygonal characters on pre-rendered backgrounds with cinematic camera angles, a technique originally pioneered by Alone in the Dark. Although the game uses the same basic engine and gameplay as the previous games, the gameplay is improved by features such as auto-targeting, a 180 degree spin, and a new dodge move that allows Jill to avoid enemy attacks. Another addition is Jill's ability to create different kinds of ammunition by mixing together three different types of gunpowder found throughout the game. The game include a randomization feature, which changes the location of certain key items and ammo. Another noteworthy feature is that at certain points in the game, Jill is faced with two choices for a situation, each will affect later story, and even the game ending. The zombies have also been made more diverse.2 points -

Def Jam: Fight for NY
NeferPrime and one other reacted to Mohtimad for a game
Def Jam: Fight for NY is the sequel to the out-of-left-field Def Jam: Vendetta.
The game opens with the person you beat in the previous game, D-Mobb, being arrested. As the police are driving, an SUV comes out of nowhere and smashes into the car, setting D-Mobb free. After a quick cutscene, it turns out the person who was driving the SUV was you, and you have now joined D-Mobb's crew.
Fight for NY's story mode takes you through the ranks, and pits you against tougher and tougher fighters. You start off in D-Mobb's crew as a nobody and will have to work your way up, fighting off people from other crews, including D-Mobb's rival, Crow. You'll take part mostly in one-on-one brawls, with the odd team match and free for all thrown in.
To aid you in fighting, you can use the environment to hurt your enemy. You can smash people into wooden/cement walls, fences, or just whack them off of a wooden pillar. Speakers, soda machines, garbage cans... All there to harm your enemy (or you). Some objects are interactive, such as floodlights, which will change the lighting of the ring once someone's been thrown into them. You have weapons at your disposal, usually a metal pipe, pool cue, and a broken bottle.
The crowd also gets into the action, which can be good or bad for you. You can throw an enemy into a crowd and have them push him towards you; you can knock a stunned enemy into the crowd, and they will hold him down, giving you free shots; or you can throw an opponent into a part of the crowd holding a weapon, and they'll use the weapon against him.
There are five fighting styles available to you. There is Street Fighting, which focuses on punches; Kickboxing, which focuses on kick attacks; Martial Arts, which focuses on speed, running, and acrobatic attacks; Wrestling, which focuses on standard wrestling moves, like bodyslams; and Submissions, which focus on wearing down a specific part of the enemy until that limb is damaged enough to earn a submission.
In addition to Story mode, you have Battle mode, which allows you to play with up to four players in different types of matches.
Fight for NY has lots of unlockables. Earning reward points from Battle matches, you can purchase new fighters or venues to fight in.2 points -
Wolfenstein: Blade of Agony
fab93440 and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Blade of Agony is a story-driven FPS. The project is inspired by WWII shooters from the 90's and early 2000's, like Wolfenstein 3D, Medal of Honor, and Call of Duty, but with faster-paced gameplay in the spirit of Doom!
STORY
It's 1942, and the war approaches its peak. The U.S. has joined the Allied forces, and the Soviets are pushing back the front in the east. The tides of war are turning, and Hitler's victory seems more and more beyond his grasp. But the Nazis, refusing to capitulate, have grown obsessed with human experiments and occult artifacts, in which they see a potential escape from their final Doom. The Allied leaders reject this possibility as nonsense; nonetheless, some still fear what the Führer might be up to. The situation is nebulous, however, and little is certain.
You are Cpt. William "B.J." Blazkowicz, an Allied spy, a fearless risk-taker, and the greatest soldier to ever take up arms in World War II. Your role has changed, though; you've retired from active duty, and now you spearhead operations as a systems analyst. You thought it would be the right choice--leading and motivating instead of doing the dirty work--but lately you've grown restless. At least until a few days ago, when you received an encrypted message from your old friend and comrade Cpt. Douglas Blake, calling you back to duty...
FEATURES
Blade of Agony is much more than just a pastiche of the classic shooters that inspired it; the project will offer a unique experience. It also has many features not often seen in source port projects.
30 playable and unique levels in 3 different chapters (plus secret maps)
Orchestra-quality game music

Beautiful special effects (weather, elements, explosions, etc.)
Modern post-processing shaders (motion & effect blur, noise, flares, etc.)

The events of the game take place in England in the 1930s, and its story crosses the borders between reality and imagination. Jennifer is a young girl who has lost her memory and now finds herself on a bus, holding a storybook given to her by an enigmatic little boy. Following the boy into the dark countryside, Jennifer discovers a strange orphanage. Soon she finds herself trapped in an area controlled by a group of twisted orphan children, who call themselves the Red Crayon Aristocrats. Unwillingly, Jennifer has to obey the rules of this society's hierarchy, re-discover her own past, and distinguish between reality and nightmare...
Rule of Rose is an adventure game with survival horror elements. Jennifer is exceptionally weak even for a typical protagonist of this genre; though she can fight (sometimes with improvised melee weapons, such as pipes), often the alternative to fighting is running away. A unique gameplay feature is Brown, a Labrador retriever dog who accompanies Jennifer throughout the game. The player is able to issue commands to Brown. Though he cannot fight, his growl will deter many of the enemies Jennifer may encounter. Brown's ability to track items is also widely used in the game, whether for plot-related purposes or for finding health restoratives, raising Jennifer's chances of surviving.2 points -

Final Fantasy XII
kogarasu and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Two powerful empires, Archadia and Rozaria, are at war. All they care for is victory over the opponent. In order to achieve it more quickly, Archadia invades the small kingdom of Dalmasca. The young prince of Dalmasca falls in battle shortly after his marriage to the beautiful princess Ashe. The king is murdered under mysterious circumstances just before signing a peace treaty with Archadia. The iron rule of the empire is established in the small country.
The player takes control of a young thief named Vaan who lives in Rabanastre, the capital city of Dalmasca. Through a series of events Vaan finds himself involved in the political struggle, hoping to avenge the death of his treacherously murdered brother.
Final Fantasy XII is set in Ivalice, a fantasy world which also served as a setting for Final Fantasy Tactics. The game differs from its predecessors in several core gameplay-related aspects. The game world is composed of vast areas with visibly walking enemies. There are no separate battle screens in the game; combat takes place in the same environment as exploration. Player-controlled characters can freely move during combat. Actions are still selected by choosing commands from a pop-up menu, and each character has a traditional ATB bar that determines when he or she may act; however, overall the combat resembles the "real-time with pause" system of Western role-playing games such as Knights of the Old Republic.
The player can issue specific commands to the party members, or assign to them combat strategies (called "gambits" in the game). New magic, abilities, and equipment are bought from stores or found in containers in the world. Before a character can use any of these, the player has to buy a corresponding license by spending license points earned in combat. These act like skill points, and can be allocated by the player manually on the character's license board.
In addition to the enemies and bosses found by following the story, the player can also accept "Hunts" posted in bars or offered to the player in conversations. These are optional encounters where the player has to track down and either trap or lure a very powerful monster before defeating it.2 points -

Gameplay is largely similar to other entries in the series, comprised of hack-and-slash fighting on the ground and aerial combat in which Zero rides Mikhail. Performing combos fills up Zero's Tension Gauge, which she can tap into to unleash her Intoner powers. In Intoner Mode, Zero's speed and attack power increase, and she becomes invulnerable to enemy attacks. Zero can use four different types of weapons: swords, bracers, chakrams, and spears, and each individual weapon can be leveled up the more it is used in combat.2 points -

Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi
LeBinksPoto and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi is a game based on the manga and anime franchise Dragon Ball Z, and it is the fourth installment of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The game is a 3D fighter that features various characters from the Dragon Ball Z franchise. Players can select from among 28 characters or create their own custom character to fight against the AI, or with another player locally or online.
The game has several modes of play. The Story mode follows the plot of the anime including several of the movies and recreates many of the series' iconic battles. Most of the battles are standard one-on-one fights, but there are some special boss fights that feature giant characters like Great Ape Vegeta and Janemba. The Hero mode is similar to the Story mode in gameplay, but it features a new story centered around the player's custom character. Finally, there is the Tournament mode in which up to 16 characters can participate in a standard single-elimination tournament.2 points -
Heart of Darkness
TheGaruda and one other reacted to RomStation for a game
Andy is a child who likes playing with his dog Whiskey, doesn't particularly enjoy going to school, and has a knack for inventing complicated gadgets. One day Andy and Whiskey are strolling through the park, when suddenly a solar eclipse darkens the sky, and after a moment Andy realizes that his dog has been taken away. But science can solve everything, and Andy heads to his treehouse, which is home to his outstanding inventions, including a spaceship! If you thought it was just a toy, you thought wrong, because Andy boards the ship and pilots it into the heart of the Darklands, a world controlled by the evil Master of Darkness. Andy takes out his gun (another splendid invention of his) and prepares to fight the evil sorcerer's minions. Nothing will stop the boy from rescuing his beloved dog!
Heart of Darkness is a cinematic 2D platformer designed by Eric Chahi, the creator of one of the genre's progenitors, Another World. Though the game has many fast and furious action sequences, including shooting hordes of dark creatures, it is built like a series of tasks, each requiring different approaches, from arcade-style shooting or jumping to interacting with the environment and solving puzzles. Like its spiritual predecessor, the game is linear; completing a section usually takes Andy to a different location, where another task awaits him.
Andy has several guns at his disposal, though in certain locations he will lose his weapons and will rely on the player's wit or quick reaction to survive. Andy will also gain magical energy, which can be used to grow or destroy trees. Similarly to Another World, many hazards are placed on the hero's path; despite the child-oriented premise, the game contains graphically explicit death scenes, which occur if the player is not careful or quick enough to save Andy from a gruesome demise.
Heart of Darkness features orchestral music and pre-rendered animated cutscenes. It comes with a pair of 3D glasses, which allow the player to view certain scenes in the game in 3D.2 points -

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is an action game with platforming and puzzle-solving elements. The Prince will engage in sword fighting, wall climbing, spike dodging, puzzle solving, and more in his quest. The Prince also carries the Dagger of Time, which allows him to unleash several magical powers. The most important of these powers is the ability to reverse time. This ability allows the player to reverse their actions when they lead the Prince to his death.2 points -

The planet is dying. Cold winds blow. Fires rage. Trees are withering. In other words, it's brutal out there. Only you can stop the Dark King from consuming the light from the Crystals of Earth. But don't think it'll be a walk in the park. You're up against the sleaziest of slimebags, the evilest of ecto-scum -- we're talking serious monsters here. This isn't your basic shoot-'em-into-smithereens kiddy game, either. You'll have to think your way out of some tough spots. Think you can handle that?2 points -

Final Fantasy X
B3rs3rk3R777 reacted to RomStation for a game
Tidus is a young athlete who lives in a futuristic city of Zanarkand - "the city that never sleeps". He plays blitzball, a ball game where players throw the ball while flying around. Suddenly, a terrible disaster happens. A huge dark wave engulfs the city, spawning monsters. Tidus comes in contact with the mysterious creature, and as a result finds himself in a different world, a thousand years into the future. The civilization he is used to doesn't exist any more. He learns that the world he knew was destroyed by Sin, a terrible being that is believed to be indestructible. Tidus meets a young summoner named Yuna, and joins her as a guardian on her quest to put an end to Sin.
Final Fantasy X is Japanese-style role-playing game set in a world somewhat similar to South Asia. Only individual locations can be physically explored; there is no "world map" in the game, and exploration is fairly linear. Enemy encounters are random; the game abandons the series' traditional ATB (active-time battle) combat in favor of a Conditional Turn-Based Battle system, in which the turns of the participants are determined by characters' stats and actions, with turn order displayed in the upper corner of the screen.
The game also departs from the usual leveling up system. There are no character levels in the game: instead, experience points received after battles can be allocated by the player directly to upgrade the characters' parameters. Each character has his or her special "sphere map", with straight or branching paths containing spots that increase the character's personal statistics, or teach him or her active and passive abilities. The characters are given distinct class attributes, and it is possible top switch between all the party members during the same battle. Monster summons (called aeons in the game) now behave like playable characters, have their own hit points (HP), and can fight for the party until defeated.
Conversations that occur during cutscenes have voice overs, for the first time in the series. The game features various mini-games, the most prominent of which are blitzball tournaments.1 point -
Tarzan is an action-platformer game for Sony's PlayStation. It was developed by Eurocom and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1999.
We could call it a platform game if it wasn't 3D, but it still looks like a platform game. Much alike to "Lion King" only seeable made of polygons. This little arcade game puts you in a role of Tarzan, a soon-to-be king of the jungle, leads you to a bunch of quest levels where you can collect coins, map pieces, 'TARZAN' letters and other stuff, as well as call your monkey friend from time to time that'll give you a brief explanation of things flyin' around. After each completed level, there will be a brief animations that they've probably taken from Disney's cartoon.1 point -

Super Dragon Ball Z is a fighting game featuring 18 fighters from the Dragon Ball franchise, of which 13 are available from the start. The gameplay is most similar to the one from popular fighting games such as the Street Fighter series, mostly based on dial-input special moves. Some character can enter a temporary special mode (such a Super Saiyan mode).
The game modes include "Original" mode, a classic arcade mode, "Z Survivor", in which the player faces opponent as long as his character has some health left, a "Training" mode to hone their skills, "Versus" to fight against another player.
There is also an option to create custom characters to use in these modes. The custom character will grow stronger and learn new skills as he gains experience from battles. A custom character can collect the seven Dragon Balls, and upon collecting them enter "Shenron Summon" mode to summon the legendary dragon and wish for various things, such as additional attack and unlockable characters.1 point
