Desmond Miles, the last heir of the Assassins, is captured by the modern-day Templars and forced to use the Animus to relive his ancestors' memories. With the help of a rogue scientist, he escapes and joins allies who use the Animus 2.0 to explore the life of Ezio Auditore, a Florentine noble who becomes an Assassin after the execution of his father and brother.

Assassin's Creed II is an open-world action game set in Italy (Florence, Venice, Rome…). The third and final arcade release of this classic series (which would foster three further console-only sequels, see 'Series' for details) sees the Bydo Empire waging a full scale assault against other planets.

R-Type Leo possesses many of the elements that made the first two games in the series such classics, but the feel and gameplay is very different. Both the beam laser and the pod make a return, but play a different role in this game. The pod in particular now acts more like a mini 'smart bomb', in that it only detaches from the player's ship for a few seconds, and automatically homes in on enemies. The level design is also far more open than that of its predecessors, and far more forgiving.

R-Type Leo is a game that firmly divides opinions of fans of the series. Some considered it to be a blasphemy to the R-Type name, arguing that in making a game far more 'traditional', both in feel and level design, R-type Leo actually represented a step backwards from what the innovative original achieved. Less patient players undoubtedly prefer Leo's open levels and forgiving gameplay. Something that all can agree on, however, is how stunningly beautiful the game is. The detail and use of colour on both the backgrounds and enemy ships is incredible and is one of the finest examples of two-dimensional artwork the arcade has ever seen.

He's captured Mario and his friends in his pursuit of a crystal that the group collected when it fell from the sky, and he doesn't hesitate to shrink them to miniature size to get rid of them and get his hands on the other four crystals. The mini-heroes have to find the crystals before he does, making their way through giant environments filled with enormous creatures. The single-player campaign takes place in five different settings, each of them ending with a boss. As usual, players have to collect coins and stars, at the same time escaping dangers such as Piranha Plants and other classic creatures from the Mario universe.

Resident Evil 4 HD is an enhanced version of the iconic survival-horror game, offering upgraded visuals and a smoother gameplay experience. Originally praised for its groundbreaking gameplay mechanics and intense atmosphere, this HD remaster brings the classic title to modern platforms with improved graphics and resolution support up to 720p.

The game follows the story of Leon S. Kennedy, who is sent to Spain to rescue the President's kidnapped daughter. Along the way, players encounter a diverse range of enemies and environments, from eerie villages to ancient castles, all rendered in higher resolution textures for enhanced immersion.

In terms of gameplay, Resident Evil 4 HD retains its signature over-the-shoulder perspective and tight controls, albeit with some refinements for smoother movement and aiming. Quick Time Events (QTEs) add an element of tension to the action sequences, while the addition of a new playable view enhances the overall experience.

Aside from the graphical upgrades, the HD version includes bonus content such as Ada's additional scenario, Separate Ways, previously exclusive to the PS2 version. Players can also unlock a dozen Achievements/Trophies for completing various in-game challenges.

While the HD remaster offers an improved visual presentation and additional content, some may find the lack of significant gameplay enhancements disappointing, especially compared to more recent entries in the series. However, for fans of the original game looking to revisit the classic title with enhanced graphics and additional features, Resident Evil 4 HD provides a satisfying experience.

Together with Pokémon Diamond, this game starts the 4th generation of the Pokémon series. Set in a new region, Sinnoh, it includes 107 new Pokémon, bringing the total up to 493. It is also the first online game in the series, featuring Wi-Fi battles and trading. Players can collect badges, challenge the Elite Four, and become the ultimate Pokémon master.

The game continues the basic idea of previous Pokémon games - you, a new trainer, set out on a quest to catch every Pokémon and defeat the Pokémon league. Along the way, you will foil the plots of the evil organization Team Galactic, who seek to use a trio of legendary Pokémon to awaken a sleeping titan with the power to control space. There are many sidequests and other activities along the way, including the Battle Tower and catching other legendaries.

The core Pokémon series features an RPG turn-based battle system. Each monster can learn up to four attacks. In a single turn, the two opponents select their attacks, and the one with the higher Speed attacks first. The amount of damage is influenced by the Attack and Defense stats. In the past, attacks were automatically classified as Physical or Special based on their elemental type. In Diamond and Pearl, each attack can be individually categorized, so attacks which use natural elements are Special, and those which use simple force are Physical.

The Pokémon Contests from Ruby and Sapphire return, with many new features. In addition to the attack performance, where you must try to impress the judge with flashy moves, you'll also dress up your Pokémon and dance in time to music. Diamond and Pearl also bring back the real time system from Gold and Silver, where day and night are reflected in your game. Some Pokémon are only catchable during certain times.

Following the style of its predecessor, the original Outlaw Golf, the game stays true to bad attitude, sexual themes and bunch of losers who just happen to find something in common to take upon - a game of golf. The magnificent four are back, Harley, Summer, El Suave and Ice Trey, with several more characters to be unlocked as you blast through the courses, speaking of which, the former three from the original are back, and again, with newer ones to be played after earned and unlocked. If you wanna practice your moves and skills, you can select exhibition mode, or if you feel contempt enough, go take a tour and show 'em what you're made of. There are several additions not seen in the original game, such as different game modes as well as golf cart racing which lets you earn the legendary burning shot, though the beating of your caddy to raise your composure is still included. The game also supports online play.

Son Goku, Naruto, Sasuke, Luffy, Zoro, Trunks, Rock Lee... a cast worthy of the secret fantasies of any otaku! Some people apprehend then a pure fighting game, but Battle Stadium D.O.N is largely inspired by Super Smash Bros. Melee. The two games share many similarities, especially in terms of handling. Thus, the strokes do not require any manipulation based on quarter turns, everything comes out simply with combinations of direction and buttons. But Battle Stadium D.O.N. fortunately does not just copy the neighbor. The principle is even catchy and original enough to guarantee good reversals. Here, all fighters share the same life gauge. The goal of the game is to nibble on the opponents' gauge, by all means, until the final knockout. So there are not really "lives" as such. Moreover, the winner at the end of regulation time is not the one who has ejected the most people, but the one who has the longest energy bar!

Legend of Legaia is a Japanese-style RPG. Your initial party consists of three characters: Vahn, Noa, and Gala - two males and one female. You engage yourself on a quest of freeing your planet from a mysterious mist which is floating above the planet and which can turn anything it touches into a dreadful monster. In order to clean the planet from the horrible mist, you have to find so-called Genesis Trees which are scattered around on the planet.

The combat system is a bit similar to that of Xenogears, as it utilizes combo attacks. Your choices aren't just attack, defend or use special abilities: the attack option itself has many choices: high-attack, low-attack, kick etc. Apart from this system, the game is a typical Japanese-style RPG with 3D graphics, anime/manga aesthetics, world map exploration, etc.

Torin is a young boy who lives in a little country house on a planet called Strata with his parents and with his purple cat-like friend Boogle. One day he returns home, only to find out his parents were imprisoned in a magical spell. Apparently, the spell was cast by a sorceress named Lycentia. He must now travel to distant lands to find a way to remove the spell and confront the sorceress. What he doesn't know is that this journey will also help him to discover his true origins and his true purpose in life...

Created by Al Lowe of Leisure Suit Larry fame, Torin's Passage is a fairy tale-like humorous adventure with cartoon-style graphics and animations. Torin interacts with characters and objects in a point-and-click fashion, and can also use Boogle's special shape-shifting abilities. During their journey, Boogle will learn how to turn into a variety of objects, which is essential for solving many of the game's puzzles. The game also has many traditional inventory-based tasks as well as other types of puzzles. To facilitate the puzzle-solving, the game has a built-in hint system; using the hints will deduce points from the player's score.

Shinobi. It's Japanese for stealth, the perfect description of a Master Ninja. And that's exactly what you are! Armed with throwing stars and finely-honed battle skills, you must defeat the Ring of Five. Fight your way past mercenaries and karate thugs. Take out the meanest martial artists and rescue hostages. Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 on Wii is a fighting game featuring 35 characters from the famous manga. You can fight alone or with others in interactive arenas, take on numerous challenges or embark on a story mode to discover, alongside the Anbu ninjas, who is hiding behind an epidemic of madness.

You are an Eevee. You once belonged to a trainer, but at some point during your journey, they decide to abandon you because you're too weak and not worth the effort to take care of. Conflict is a political/strategy simulator, inspired by a prediction of how events in the Middle East could unfold in the 1990s. In this 1997, the Israeli prime minister dies (either by assassination or by bomb blast), and you're appointed as the new prime minister.

In the game you have to make and follow political policies regarding other countries in the Middle East, control intelligence and purchase arms, try to beat the other countries in the nuclear race and keep peace with the Palestinians and, of course, conduct battles with other countries.

Final Fantasy VII: Re-Imagined is a project made by fans of the original game. They re-imagined how the game would be like if it's an action game. Classic 2D Side-scrollers, such as Dragons and Dungeons: Chronicles of Mystara, Streets of Rage, etc, came to their minds. They thought about how they can incorporate some of the FFVII game play elements, such as Materia and summoning of Guardian Force into a Hack and Slash genre. The result is what you can see above.
