The Dreamcast now has its own Mario Party. The party game is now within the reach of 128-bit players, even if Sega's know-how in this field does not seem to be able to match Nintendo's. Sonic Shuffle is not a Mario Party repompetition, and is even different from it in many ways. It's a fun game to play with family and friends.

Alongside one of the four original characters (Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles), you'll have to try to counter the dark ambitions of the evil Void, or else the world of Maginary World may cease to exist. The infamous Void stole the legendary Precious Stone that kept the world in balance, and then shattered it into a thousand pieces. Each character has special skills, and four other protagonists of the Sonic universe can be unlocked as they advance through the game. Like its N64 counterpart, Sonic Shuffle is a game designed to be played with others. Four players, if possible young people and Sonic fans, will be able to play games on themed boards. The four players move their characters on squares with different effects, beneficial or evil, and compete in more or less original mini-games. The Cel-shading used here is particularly successful and the graphic paw strongly evokes that of the famous Jet Set Radio. Mario Party and Jet Set Radio as a source of inspiration, we have already seen less good references.
