One Piece: Gear Spirit on Nintendo DS released only in Japan offers a large number of characters from the manga of Eichiro Oda for crazy fights. Find the atmosphere of the saga with the powers of demon fruits to help you and devastating attacks. Replay the great battles that punctuate the manga and create your own battles. Use the specificities of the arenas to your advantage to win.
The game does not have a basic storyline. In this respect it is similar to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series. In the story mode the player fight random characters at different stages, and each character has two event stages where they battle a rival or another character that is related to their story in the anime. For instance, in Blackbeard's story, one of the characters he encounters in his event stage is Portgas D. Ace.
