This is a prototype of Sonic R on the Sega Saturn, it contains a lot of differences:

It contains only three playable levels: Island, Factory and City. Factory is the most incomplete. Menu and character selection screens that have nothing to do with the final version of the game. There are 9 gold coins to collect instead of 5 as in the final game, some doors need more than 50 rings to be opened, the maximum is 80 rings. No collision detection between characters is implemented and the replay option after the race is removed.
