Nobunaga no Yabou Zenkokuban is a turn-based strategy game set during Japan's Sengoku period. The player can choose a warlord (such as Oda Nobunaga) and must conquer Japan by managing resources, raising armies, and forming alliances.

The game features several historical scenarios, including "Battle for the East" (1560) and "Road Towards Unification" (1582). Each turn allows the player to take actions such as recruiting soldiers, forming alliances, or using ninjas for covert missions.

The PlayStation version includes a beginner mode with 17 provinces and an advanced mode covering 50 provinces. It also offers multiplayer support for up to eight players and regional dialects for more varied interactions.
