After Axel Stone, Blaze Fielding and Adam Hunter destroyed the evil Syndicate leader, Mr. X, the city became a peaceful place to live, and each one of them followed their own paths. One year later, after their reunion, Adam's brother Sammy returned from school to find their apartment in a mess, and Adam nowhere to be seen, and after calling his two friends, one of them notices a photo of Adam chained to a wall, next to someone they knew very well - Mr. X, who returned to turn the peaceful city once again into a war zone. Now, Axel, Blaze, Sammy, and Axel's good friend Max, a pro wrestler, must head out to stop Mr. X once again...hopefully for good...

Streets of Rage 2 differs from the previous title in several ways. There are changes in both graphics (characters now are bigger, more detailed and with more animation frames, and scenarios are less grainy) and gameplay (the rocket move was replaced by a special move that doubles in offense and defense along several new moves), along other new features such as life bars (and names) for all enemies and the radically different new characters.

Pour moi le meilleur de la série, graphismes et maniabilité au top, et surtout musiques inoubliables ("Never Return Alive" et "Alien Power" aussi appelé parfois "Alien Cave", 2 morceaux réellement cultes !). Peut être le meilleur Beat'em all tous supports confondus... Avec les limites propres au genre...

L'un des meilleurs, pour ne pas dire LE meilleur de la saga "Streets of Rage". Pour l'époque, c'était la perle des jeux de baston. On avance, on colle des torgnoles à tous ceux qui veulent nous rentrer dans le lard, filles y compris : ce jeu ne faisait pas de différences hommes/femmes. J'ai passé de nombreuses heures à y jouer sur ma Mega Drive. C'est super de pouvoir y rejouer via un émulateur plus de vingt ans plus tard.

Ce jeu se payait le luxe de tenir la comparaison face aux titres du grand Capcom sur Arcade, c'est dire…

On ne peut mentionner Streets of Rage sans parler de Yuzo Koshiro. L'OST de "SoF 2" est au moins aussi bonne que celle de son grand frère et marquera bon nombre de joueurs dès l'introduction.

Tout pète la classe dans ce jeu mais ce que je voudrais mettre en avant c'est bien son gameplay, très riche pour un jeu console : il y a énormément de possibilités !

Tu rajoutes à ça 4 perso jouables, le mode 2 joueurs et bingo t'as LE Beat'em all de la génération 16 bits !

À mon avis... Streets of Rage 2 est certainement dans la liste des meilleurs et des classiques des jeux de type beat 'em up... La bande-son est un spectacle à part entière, vous incitant à continuer à jouer. Les personnages sont encore plus imposants, avec une nette amélioration par rapport au premier titre. La difficulté est moyenne, il est important de ne pas faire d'erreurs stupides et de savoir comment gérer les ennemis de manière intelligente pour éviter de perdre des vies (ce qui sera crucial surtout vers la fin du jeu)... De plus, il est important de souligner que les décors sont très beaux et relativement variés, compte tenu du fait que le jeu se déroule principalement dans des environnements urbains. D'ailleurs, pour ceux qui ne parviennent pas à le terminer ou qui veulent essayer, il y a également une version arcade. En conclusion... Je recommande ! 10/10
