Pocket Monster II

Pocket Monster II is a platform game for the Mega Drive, probably produced by X Boy and is the sequel to Pocket Monster.
This game is a significant improvement over the first opus. The graphics and audio are improved. The music is taken from the Pokémon series on Japanese television.
Rather simple, you move with the control pad and jump with the C key. Unlike Pocket Monster, Pikachu cannot use an electric attack. Instead, he can throw Pokeballs with the B button (when they are collected).
This game is incredibly short overall, almost painfully so. It only contains four levels, with an ending boss.
The four levels are also incredibly generic. They have no names, but their themes are: forest, canyon/valley, castle, and power plant.
The game punishes you for any mistakes you make.
