how does RomStation works? (im talking about the monetary part of it)

i've been using for 2 months, and i'm a bit curious how the cloud gaming part of it its working without time limit or without forcing you to buy a subscription. i saw that there's a premium member subscription which is a bit expansive if i convert the price to my local coin, but its not necessary to use this function, so i just want to know how the creators of RomStation keep the host servers alive, cuz money is involved to keep a server working, and not everyone pays for the Premium Membership (at least afaik since im new at this community)

There is a limit of 50 free users max to make sure they don't over saturate theirs servers.

 

Maybe romstation pay for a max bandwidth and they calculate that with 50 free cloud + premium + download users -> they never go higher than what they can so they don't pay more anyways.

 

Also premium user with a extremely high bandwith have reported that they are capped by romstation itself so maybe they regulate and diminue download speed when they have a high demand.

From what I understand, the free cloud gaming works because the platform likely limits resources in subtle ways like server performance, session lengths, or queue priority while premium members get more stability or features. They probably cover server costs mostly through the premium subscriptions and possibly ads or partnerships.
