Thoroughbred Breeder III is one of the many horse racing simulation games released for Super Famicom. The goal is to win Japanese, American and European competitions. The player has the ability to breed their horse in order to enhance its aptitudes. While Thoroughbred Breeder II gave new features to the player compared to the first installment, Thoroughbred Breeder III goes further: stables are introduced and permit one to have several horses at one time; also, one does not have to put the horses out to pasture before the age of 8 years old, as their stamina is restored at the beginning of each week.
