Slashout is a weapons based 3D beat 'em-up game and follow-up on Spikeout. The game takes place in a fantasy setting and offers four playable characters. These are swordsman Slash, swordswoman Luna, Axel armed with an axe and Kamui wielding a katana.

You fight various fantasy themed enemies, mini bosses and end of level bosses. Enemies drop gems and sometimes power-ups. Collecting a certain amount of gems will increase your characters level. Power-ups include health restoration and additional damage power-ups.
