In MySims for the Nintendo DS you are the new inhabitant of a boring city, where there is not much to do and the inhabitants barely know each other. The mayor of the city asks you to make the city a topstar rating city. With each thing you do that improves the city, the city gets more stars and thus more people interested in living there or visiting the city for a holiday. The game gives you quests that you can follow, but you can also choose to do small improvements yourself. The rewards you get for these made improvements are new furniture and items for your own home or clothing and accessories that you can put on your own character.
