Ganbare Pennant Race! is a baseball game produced by Konami for the Famicom.
It plays like most other baseball games of the era, but with its own added features. For instance, you can choose the angle you swing your bat which can affect where the ball is hit. There is a rudimentary trade feature in Pennant Race (season) Mode, complete with your team earning money to increase the value of the players after each game you win. There are 12 regular teams to
choose from, while in Open (exhibition) mode you have access to two special, more powerful teams with their own fun themes. There is also an All-Star Mode
with its own team to select, so there are a lot of options to choose from.
The gameplay can feel slow in some areas, but if you enjoy 8-bit baseball titles, this one will probably not disappoint.
