:
The first of the Fire Pro Wrestling series on the Super Famicom pits two or four out of 24 different wrestlers against each other in a wrestling ring shown from an isometric perspective, with the referee keeping tabs. The game can be played in five different modes:
-World Championship - Playing as a single or tag team, the player’s goal is to accumulate victory points to qualify for matches against tougher opponents, otherwise the game ends early. To exclude points, the player can opt for the Title Defense Mode.
-Exhibition - This can be played with as a single or tag team. Certain rules like the time limit and number of rounds can be set to the player’s preference.
-Elimination - Played in tag teams, which requires the player to beat all members, including the reserves of the opposing team. The team members can be preset or customized.
-Open League - Uses the point system of the World Championship, but there are fewer opponents to fight.
-Wrestling Tutorial - Teaches the player within five matches to get a grasp of the controls and techniques.
