Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is a 2007 action-adventure beat 'em up video game based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man. The game draws characters and designs from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, but it features a non-canon plot that exists within a divergent timeline. In this alternate reality, the villains from the films survive, and players team up with famous heroes from the Marvel Universe to combat these villains in epic boss battles. After defeating them, the villains are converted into sidekicks who accompany Spider-Man throughout the game. The storyline revolves around dangerous creatures called P.H.A.N.T.O.M.s, created by mixing symbiotes with holographic technology. A mysterious villain plans to use these creatures to take over the world, and Spider-Man, recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D., embarks on a globe-trotting adventure to retrieve meteor shards and recruit allies to thwart the villain’s plans123.
