Resistance 2 is a PS3-exclusive sci-fi FPS sequel set in an alternate 1950s where the Chimera aliens control Russia and empower humans as super soldiers. Protagonist Sgt. Nathan Hale, now part of The Sentinels, combats the Chimeran threat in the US. Infected by the Chimeran virus, Hale utilizes drugs to manage its effects while wielding a mix of redesigned and new weapons. The game offers cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes. Co-op follows Specter Team's fight in parallel with the main story, while competitive mode supports up to 60 players across diverse modes.
