In Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, the Prince visits his older brother only to find that the castle is under attack by the Osman army. In a desperate attempt to defend the kingdom, the brothers unleash an ancient force that threatens to destroy everything. The Prince escapes and seeks the help of Queen Razia to defeat the Sand Army and save the kingdom.

The game returns to the graphical style and gameplay of the Sands of Time trilogy, with the player fighting multiple enemies at once, jumping, climbing, and using the Power of Time to rewind if necessary. The player can also unlock new powers by earning experience points and investing them in a skill tree.
