Neo Angelique is a GxB dating sim video game developed by Ruby Party for Koei, released on March 4th, 2006 on PlayStation 2. It was re-released as Neo Angelique Full Voice for PlayStation 2 on March 27th, 2008 and as Neo Angelique Special for PlayStation Portable on September 20th, 2008.
Neo Angelique is a renewal of the Angelique video games series. It has also been adapted into a manga series (Neo Angelique), in anime series (Neo Angelique Abyss), and in drama CDs.
As the story goes, a mighty demon has taken over utopia and it's up to an average student from the Melrose Girl's Academy to battle the evil that has taken over the world. She won't have to go it alone however - handsome handlers with unique skills are present to help her out, offer advice, and perhaps even love her. The leading men in the game are:
Neo Angelique breaks off from the original Angelique series by introducing RPG elements into this dating game classic. The stage is set in Arcardia, an Utopian world modeled after medieval Europe. However, this world is under siege by monsters called Thanatos and because of them, people live in fear.
Angelique, the heroine (the player character) is a normal girl studying in the Melrose academy for girls. Her parents were killed by the Thanatos when she was young, but instead of falling into despair, she strives to help all people in need. And on one fateful day, she is informed that she has the power to defeat Thanatos with the help from a cast of charming men. Fight Thanatos, save the world and develop relationships with the charismatic cast the game promises hours of fun and heart felt scenes to make you swoon.
In this version, even the previously silent scenes are acted out by a star studded cast of seiyuu to provide you with the most realistic dating simulation experience. The game is powered up by adding more original events and illustrations. After fulfilling certain conditions, you gain access to some hidden stills, all these additions make the engaging plots even more dramatic.
