The American football video game series known as Madden NFL is currently in its 14th iteration with the release of Madden NFL 2004. Michael Vick, a former quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons, is featured prominently on the cover. One of the new additions to Madden 2004 is an option called “owner mode,” which gives the user authority over an existing football team. In this mode, the player assumes all obligations of owning a professional football team, including regulating the cost of hot dogs, relocating the team, hiring and firing coaching staff, and much more. The capability to alter a historic team is another new addition to the game.
