The story of 12Riven is set on May 20, 2012, with high school student Renmaru Miyabidō cycling and speeding towards the abandoned Integral building after receiving a message on his cellphone that Myū, his childhood friend, would die. on the upper level of the building today at noon. Once there, he checks his wristwatch and sees that it is 11:24 a.m.

Elsewhere, Police Inspector Narumi Mishima is on her motorbike heading towards the same location. She received a request from a friend and co-worker asking her to help save a girl named "Myū" at Integral. Narumi must save Myū to prevent the execution of the "Second Eclipse Plan". Narumi has never heard of this phrase before, moreover, the message was sent with the marking "XXX Lv6". This is a scale for rating the severity of a situation, and a level 6 marking has never been used before. Even a large-scale terrorist threat would be set at level 5.
