The last commercial release for PC-Engine (TurboGrafx) CD, Dead of the Brain 1 & 2 is - as the name strongly implies - a compilation of the two titles, previously released for several other systems:

- Nightmare Collection: Dead of the Brain - Shiry? no Sakebi
- Nightmare Collection: Dead of the Brain 2

The gameplay has remained unchanged; the graphics are also nearly identical to those of the original releases. New to this compilation are voice-overs for dialogues and redbook (CD audio) music tracks instead of the MIDI music of the computer versions.
