Released in 2025, Last Defense 2 is a shoot 'em up developed by AAR for the Mega Drive.
The story takes place during a normal workday, as you conduct the first tests of the new ship developed by the UPD (Planetary Defense Union), when you have an unfortunate encounter with the Reptilians. They use you as a guinea pig to test a new technology they have developed and send you to an unknown region of the universe, thousands of miles from Earth. You must now explore the worlds of this new place, face new enemies, and find a way to return home.
