Just like its predecessor "Black Belt," the game "Hokuto no Ken: Shin Seikimatsu Kyuuseishu Densetsu" had its license expurgated in the West, thus becoming "Last Battle," one of the six launch titles for the Genesis in the United States.

Developer Ernani Costa created a hack to restore visual elements and provide a faithful translation to the anime, while also rebalancing the gameplay with significant adjustments.

- Restoration of colors and blood from the original Japanese version.
