Space Ace is an interactive film game first released in 1984 on arcade cabinet. Then, the game was ported on consoles like the 3DO, the Jaguar CD and the Mega CD.

This is the spiritual sequel to Dragon’s Lair. No wonder because it is Don Bluth, himself the director of Dragon’s Lair, who is in charge.

Space Ace is based on the same principle, you have to press the right button at the right time to advance the story. The latter is: you control Dexter, better known as Ace. His mission is to stop Commander Borf who wants to invade Earth with his weapon (the Infanto Ray) turning his victims into infants. Ace’s partner, Kimberly, was kidnapped by Borf and it’s up to Ace to save her. Partially hit by Borf’s weapon, Ace can use a gadget that can temporarily reverse the effects of the Infanto Ray to pass certain obstacles.
