Microcosm is a shoot them up in pseudo 3D developed and published by Psygnosis first released on FM Towns, a PC variant of Japanese origin, in 1993 and adapted on other supports. The Mega-CD version was released in 1993.
The game takes place in a cyberpunk universe where the president of a powerful corporation was infected by a droid virus from a rival corporation. To answer that, the corporation sent an agent to miniaturize it and inject it into the president’s body to eradicate the droid virus.
The pre-calculated decors were made by the company Silicon Graphics and adapted, with a greater or lesser quality, on the machines of the time. The game is known for its atmosphere and atmosphere, it echoes the films "Fantastic Voyage" (1966) and "Innerspace" (1987)
