A gang of commandos have been sent to eliminate the ruthless General Yuri Nienov, who is bent on waging war against the free world. Before starting, the player selects a commando each with his own unique traits.
The game is played either in first or third-person mode. To go through a level, the player must follow red arrows to the level objective in a limited amount of time. Time is gained by from pickups mainly from enemies. There also weapon and health pickups available. Enemy presence is indicated on the radar If the player's health is depleted, a life is lost. They player has four lives. At the end of a level, a boss enemy must to eliminated to progress to the next one. To access the final level, the player will need to collect pentabolt keys from levels one to six, otherwise they will not get the true ending of the game.
