First attempts at localization (subtitle)

Hi all, how do you feel about translating and getting through Japanese games? I've decided to play some games and translate them slowly so that other players understand what they're talking about. Direct localization of the game can not, but in the form of subtitles more or less comes out. Do you think I should keep doing this?
