Carmen Sandiego est une série de jeux éducatifs qui a été très très populaire en région NA. On la retrouvait très souvent sur les PC des écoles outre-Atlantique.

 

Le jeu original est sorti en 1985. Suivit une nouvelle version en 1992, puis celle-ci en 1996, plus graphique. La série a même donné vie à un jeu télévisé de 1991 à 1995.

 

Le principe est de courser un voleur à travers le monde, d'interroger les personnages pour identifier le suspect (Carmen Sandiego étant à la tête de cette bande de bandits). Alors qu'il voyage à travers le globe, le joueur reçoit des informations géographiques et historiques sur les pays qu'il visite.
