Zap! Snowboarding Trix is a snowboarding sports video game released exclusively on Sega Saturn on February 21, 1997, only in Japan. The game was developed by Atelier Double and published by Pony Canyon.
On August 30, 1996, Cool Boarders was released on PlayStation in Japan and then in the rest of the world. Due to the critical and commercial success of this title, an improved version was announced for Saturn and many developers started to create other games of the same type. This is how Zap! Snowboarding Trix was born, this first snowboarding game on Sega's console being seen as an answer to Cool Boarders.
The player controls a snowboarder and has to ride down three slopes, on which he can perform different tricks; it is possible to choose among three styles of board.
