Dr Chaos is an adventure game released on Nes in 1988 via the Famicom Disk System. In this app, Dr. Chaos, a physicist as crazy as a chihuahua on acid, has developed a machine opening the way to another world. Coming to visit him, his brother notices that Dr. Chaos is no longer in his mansion and that there are strange creatures lurking in the house.

You play the role of the younger brother and you will have to explore the mansion to find out what could have happened and find Dr. Chaos...

We might as well say it straight away: the mansion has many rooms, quite a few secret passages and as many objects which will prove essential to your quest (ranging from potions which increase life points to the warp zone detector).

The interest of the game lies above all in its representation. The game goes from a "2D platforms" mode in the levels or the visit to the mansion to a "Point'n'click mode in subjective view" when you search the rooms in order to recover weapons and ammunition.

Not super pretty and not super well-sounded (unless you like oldies-style "Bontempi 2 keys" sounds), it's clearly not the game of the century, but it exudes an undeniable charm that deserves to be given to it a few hours.
