The Nintendo DS version of THPG has a similar storyline to its console cousins, but uses the stylus as well as the D-pad to skate and perform tricks on virtually every surface in the game.
Players can also create their own skateboarder or skate park in the story mode or attempt to perform tricks to earn achievements donated by famous skaters.

It also features Wi-Fi, allowing players to skate head-to-head in up to 10 different types, including standard endurance races and challenge matches.
