Labyrinth (1986)

:
In this shareware (but fully functional) maze-solving game, players go on a treasure hunt within computer-generated labyrinths. There are five levels of play, each with 9999 possible labyrinths:
The game keeps track of time and the number of steps taken. For extra variety, several options can be modified at any point: the map can be set to show where you've been, where you are now, or the entire maze; visibility may be line-of-sight, or 2/1/0 steps away. You can toggle a "safety rope" to leave a visible trail. Movement speed is adjustable too, and the "search pattern" option even lets the computer automate your work for you.
