i dont ghet why it wont let me input cheats in either of my emulators

I'm using both dolphin emulator and pcsx2 and neither will let med enter cheats .

On the dolphin emulator, have you enabled the cheat in the options, then configuration, then tick box that says enable cheats, when you have done so, go to tools then cheats manager, hope this helps somewhat.
