As Lana and Amy, an autistic 8-year-old girl with strange abilities, travel to Silver City by train to meet a doctor, an explosion derails the train. They discover that the inhabitants of Silver City have been transformed into monsters by a strange infection, so they must carefully navigate the city because monsters are not the only threat, they must also escape the Phoenix Foundation, an organization that intends to capture Amy to exploit her strange powers.
