Carmen is up to her old tricks again but now there's some young blood at ACME.This Carmen Sandiego game, designed for children ages five to eight, builds knowledge of maps and countries, along with memory and matching skills. Clues are discovered in various areas by moving the mouse over a random hotspot and clicking to reveal a clue. Each time you successfully follow a criminal you receive part a photograph that reveals part of their features, Collect all pieces and go in and capture the villain.A helpful robot assistant is always filled with facts about the visited countries and their inhabitants.

Carmen Sandiego est une série de jeux éducatifs qui a été très très populaire en région NA. On la retrouvait très souvent sur les PC des écoles outre-Atlantique.

 

Le jeu original est sorti en 1985. Suivit une nouvelle version en 1992, puis celle-ci en 1996 avec cet épisode qui fait plus spécifiquement honneur à la culture et à l'Histoire des États-Unis.

 

Le principe est de courser un voleur à travers les 50 États, interroger les gens pour identifier le suspect (Carmen Sandiego étant à la tête de cette bande de bandits). Alors qu'il voyage à travers le globe, le joueur reçoit des informations géographiques et historiques sur les États qu'il visite.

 

Il s'agit plus exactement ici de la version Deluxe (3.5) sortie en 1998.
