Star Ocean: Second Evolution is a PSP-exclusive, remastered version of the Playstation 1 role playing game Star Ocean: The Second Story. The plot and storyline remain the same, but many features are enhanced and some have been completely remade.

As far as gameplay is concerned, there are several new controllable characters, additional interaction between the characters and improvements to the combat system. Background and character graphics have been upgraded across the board. Character facial expressions and 10+ new animated cut-scenes have been added. The audio has also been revamped with fully-voiced, localized dialogues and new music with Japanese influence.
