Millions play board games alone, and thousands or hundreds others. Thematic articles and entire books are devoted to one, and information about others is limited only by a set of rules. Occasionally, the origins of such a bundle lie in a blatant historical injustice, but most often the reason is that the less common and popular board games simply do not carry even a tenth of the depth and versatility that chess or go have.
