Lobby

By joining a server, you access the lobby. This space looks like this.

lobby-en.jpg

1️⃣ If it is a VPN or dedicated server in automatic connection, the Play button starts the game client by directly joining the server. In manual connection, this button is absent and you will have to start your game yourself to join the server manually.

On a Cloud server, the button will open the Player of your game instance. The latter is detailed here.

2️⃣ The Options menu allows the host to change the title and description of the lobby, lock access or set a private password.

In the case of a dedicated (persistent) server, the host can additionally stop/start the server, make the server run a console command and access the file manager via the integrated FTP client (FileZilla). Stopping the server is recommended before transferring or modifying files to prevent data corruption. Also remember to make your backups regularly because they are not automated. And don't forget to restart the stopped server after you finish your operations.

Finally, everyone can also deactivate the lobby sound notifications from this same menu.🔇

3️⃣ In automatic mode, the server address (VPN or dedicated) is directly integrated into the client via the command line. Otherwise, you will have to copy the address to enter it manually in the game client or the emulator.

4️⃣ The chat allows communication between players in lobby independent of any integrated game chat. This window also displays some activity logs and some useful links.

5️⃣ The list of active players allows the host to temporarily kick or permanently ban unwanted players. The blacklist of banned players is private (only visible from the host) and common to all the servers managed by the same member. The ban of each player can of course be canceled individually from the list of banned players.
