  5. Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 26: Dynamite Deka is the twenty-sixth entry in the Sega Ages 2500 series for the PlayStation 2.

This game is an enhanced version of Dynamite Deka (though the original is still selectable), also known as Die Hard Arcade. It offers improved graphics, more modes of play, various art galleries and a costume system, allowing you to wear Golden Axe attire.

Similar to the Sega Saturn version players can earn extra lives through a minigame, though rather than being a port of Deep Scan, it is a simulation of the 1968 electro-mechanical machine Periscope.

It was later rereleased on the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Network as a digital download as just Dynamite Deka. As this entry was released with the older CERO rating system, the rerelease was rerated C.

    Killzone

During the era of space exploration, a faction of humans colonized the planet Helghan. In order to survive in the harsh environment, these people mutated to the point of no longer remaining human. They developed a passionate hatred for mankind, and eventually formed the Helghast Empire, attacking the planet Vekta controlled by the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance (ISA). As Helghast soldiers invade the planet's perimeter, the ISA forces are trying to hold the ground and find a way to stop them.

Killzone is a sci-fi-themed first-person shooter. The game's stand-out feature is the ability to control any of the four different protagonists, each with his or her own strengths and weaknesses. These characters are: Templar, the balanced squad leader; Rico, who prefers heavy weaponry and is on a quest for revenge; Luger, the team's only female member and a specialist in stealth, who can access special areas; and Hakha, a half-Helghast who can use Helghast weapons and proximity mines.

Up to sixteen players could compete in the online multiplayer portion, which includes eight maps and six modes: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Assault, Defend and Destroy, Supply Drop, and Domination. The online servers of the game have now been closed down.

    Tomb Raider: Legend

Legend is the seventh major game in the Tomb Raider series, now for the first time developed by Crystal Dynamics, along with the original character designer of the game's protagonist Lara Croft: Toby Gard.

Heroine Lara is searching for a South American relic, but her adventure takes a different course when rogue anthropologist Amanda Evert shows up. Presumed dead along with a team of graduate students after an accident in a tomb in Peru, where Lara was the only one to escape, Amanda is back with a score to settle as they both race, along with the shady James Rutland Jr., to obtain an ancient artifact. Many other characters, both friends and foes, will stir things up. The story takes Lara through locations all over the world, from the Himalayas to Ghana, Kazakhstan, Bolivia, Japan, and England, including her famous mansion filled with secrets and collectibles. Aside from current events, Lara's past is also revealed, through flashbacks. Among other things, you will get to know how she lost her mother and why it is such a burden.

The typical third-person action-adventuring exploring is still present. Lara can move more freely and is no longer limited by specific jumps. As you travel through rough environments, you will need to run, dive, swim, climb on poles, ladders, roofs, use zip lines, shimmy, and vault, with acrobatic actions such as somersaults and flips. You need to cross difficult terrain, solve puzzles to advance or open up new areas, and engage in combat. New tools include a grappling hook, not only used to move around but also to haul enemies Scorpion-style, binoculars, a PLS (personal light source), flares, a PDA and a headset to keep in contact with tech support Zip.

Enemies are still rather scarce. Both humans and animals will attack you, and the game retains the auto lock-on mode, but now with a slide attack and close combat with both kicks and punches, plus bullet-time actions to get behind enemies quickly. Lara carries her trademark dual-wielded pistols, but can also pick up new weapons along the way, such as a shotgun and grenades. Missions take place in both indoor and outdoor environments, with arcade motorcycle and jeep sequences in between. As usual, Lara has a fancy outfit for each location.

  15. The year is 1915. War has raised its ugly head to greet the nations of Europe. A year and a half after the events described in Shadow Hearts, the French town of Domremy resists German invasion, rumored to be protected by a demon. The German army sends Lieutenant Karin Koenig along with a man named Nicolas, allegedly an inquisitor from the Vatican, whose task is to exorcise the demon. When the two arrive in Domremy, events take an unexpected turn. Karin meets the young harmonixer Yuri Hyuga, who is afflicted with a curse that gradually saps the life out of him. Yuri travels across Europe and through Russia to the Far East, trying to find a cure before it is too late, and stop a secret society from dominating the world by political and magical means.

Shadow Hearts: Covenant is a direct sequel to Shadow Hearts, continuing its story and featuring the same main protagonist as well as a few recurrent characters. Like the previous game, it is set in a concrete historical epoch with heavy supernatural additions. Several historical characters, such as the Russian princess Anastasia, play important roles in the game's plot.

The game's combat system is similar to that of the predecessor: the Judgment Ring adds an arcade element to the turn-based combat, requiring the player to stop a spinning arrow when it passes specific areas of a ring. There are more ring types in the sequel and more possibilities to customize the ring, modifying its areas as well as status-changing properties. The player can select various difficulty levels based on the speed of the arrow and the size of the ring's areas.

The Sanity Points system and Yuri's special ability to transform into monsters and visit the graveyard for more powerful fusion variants have been preserved. Characters can now team up to perform combo attacks of various properties: standard, hard hit, high angle and knock down. Damage dealt to enemies increases when the player continues a combo with fitting attacks, taking into account the weight type of the enemy and the effect different attack types are having on him. As opposed to the first game, magic is obtained by equipping crests of various elemental types. These crests and the magic spells they contain can be swapped between characters.
